Overall the host/property management experience was very frustrating and well below expectation, but the property itself is wonderful.Three days before arrival, we were informed there would be active construction with heavy equipment on site during our stay. Given we booked months in advance, the lack of proactive communication—and refusal to offer a discount—felt unreasonable. We chose this home for a quiet retreat and would have booked elsewhere had we known earlier. The listing is also misleading on bedrooms. It’s advertised as 5BR, but two “bedrooms” are open loft spaces at the top of the stairs with no walls or doors, offering minimal privacy. It’s more accurately a 3BR with a large open loft.Additionally, basic supplies (dish soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels) were empty and not stocked on arrival, though the host offered reimbursement.Positives: great common areas, solid main bedrooms, nice deck and hot tub, and convenient location near Sandpoint and Schweitzer. More transparency in the listing would go a long way.
