Our experience was very disappointing for this to be a Marriott. First of all our room was not as clean as it should have been. The room smelled like mildew. There was hair on our bathroom wall in the shower. The refrigerator was being held up by a dirty rag. Dust everywhere. Then we had an issue where the handle fell off the toilet. We left our hotel around noon and told someone was going to fix it. When we came back around 9 PM, it appeared to be fixed, but it was not. The handle fell right off. We called the night manager who tried to fix it, but could not. She called the maintenance guy to come in; I could hear his attitude. In the meantime, we were asked to stick our hand in the back of the toilet to flush it if we needed to use it. NO WAY! She did try to make things better by offering us complementary breakfast in the restaurant, but it was for nothing that we wanted. She also bought us a bag of drinks from the hotel shop. I would’ve been appreciative of it if it wasn’t for the fact that we all needed to use the restroom and it was 10 o’clock at night. My kids fell asleep. The maintenance guy didn’t show up until about 10:15 and when I opened the door and said hello, he said “what up” and walked in. No introduction. He was in the bathroom for about 3 minutes, then said, “have a good night” and let the door slam as he left out. No apologies or anything and woke my kids. The night did get comped for, but I still will not go back to this hotel. Not worth it at all.
