It's a small, budget hotel, in a great location - practically next to S Maria Maggiore. I like to stay in this area of Rome - near Termini, so good for buses and metro. I was able to get a single room, which was very small, but perfectly adequate, with en suite. Slightly shabby, but very clean. The bed was firm, and very comfortable. Drawbacks: quite a long flight of stairs with no lift if you have a lot of luggage; my room looked on to V Carlo Alberto, so was a little bit noisy early in the morning, but not enough to be a real nuisance, hardly noticeable with the window shut. Breakfast was served in my room, and was a simple Italian breakfast - coffee and a couple of pastries. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have seen another review which said no English or Italian were spoken, but that is not the case. I don't know about English, but they all certainly spoke Italian! I would be happy to stay there again.
I have been to rome many times and stayed at many small hotels. The location is good, but not much else. I was supposed to get a double room with bath, instead they tried to give me a twin room with a hall bath. Sorry no. Had to fight for the proper room, the got it. "Breakfast" is tea or coffe, nothing else. Hotel is run by Chinese, no english spoken, or Italian.
The location is very good, the service was awesome with friendly receptionist, fast WiFi and comfortable bed. The breakfast was tasty with fruit juice, coffee, croissants and other things. I had a very nice weekend there !
they have good location and nice staff but they have horrible beds and bathroom: the double bed is two single beds puted together, the flush don't work no matter what, the refrigerator and the bathroom smell bad and they have no elevators. we wouldn't stay one more time.
Having read the reviews from other people on trip advisor I would agree. This is a great bargain hotel for a short trip to Rome. When we arrived at Termini station we walked past the cheap tat shops and lots of shabby hotels and didn't feel overjoyed but the street that it's on is lovely and is very close to the station for easy access into the rest of Rome. It's also perfect if flying as you get an express train into Termini and its a short walk. Staff were pretty friendly, there is a bar (which we didn't use below). It has the largest bed ive ever slept in. My boyfriend thought it was too hard but I loved it. Great powerful shower too. It's not glamorous or luxurious but it's cheap, clean and central...what more do you want if you are the sort of person that uses a hotel as a base which we are. It's very near the S. Maria Maggiore, lots of cafe's and a supermarket or two. Not glamorous or romantic but cheap, cheerful and comfortable. Perfect short break material I'd say.
On Via Carlo Alberto, 50 mtrs from badilica of S. Maria Maggiore, a place where you find yourself at home, gentle staff, silent rooms, inner court and even art pieces at the lobby's walls. Owned by international expats, clean, all no smoking rooms, average cont'l Bfast, reasonable room price. Ar reception experienced collaborative staff.
Clean comfortable and close to termini. It is difficult to find, there is no signage.....you're looking for a large wooden door next to the bar and opposite the Montreal hotel. Press the button next to the name, they'll release the lock from reception...at the top of the stairs is reception. Staff helpful. Our belongings were safe while we were out including passports & money which we left in the safe. Yes the furniture has seen better days but it serves it's purpose. Don't expect the usual facilities you have in usual hotels it's just a room and a tiny reception area. Ladies the hair dryer worked well just take straighteners and save space in luggage. Towels changed daily and the room cleaned daily too. 2 x 4ft single beds which at first seemed hard but turned out to be very comfortable and gave a refreshing nights sleep after a long day walking. WARNING our room 215 had a killer shower which could cause severe scolding if you're not careful...turn very slightly otherwise it's either scolding or freezing. ..it was too difficult to explain to the owner...We found running it for a while at just above cold jumping in wash jump out...its small and you need to be careful not to accidentally press the control tap so keep door open just incase. Would stay again it's in a convenient area just 5mins from termini and a good base with all attractions excessable on foot or use the metro 1.50 per journey. Plenty if restaurants and cafes nearby....recommend pastarito on the road leading to termini good food at a very reasonable price and lovely staff.
The place has all the facilities to arrive, is near to Roma termini station, near for metro stations, bus stops, at the fact is near of the main historic monument of Roma, the Coloseum. Is not a nice place to have a romantic moments, there are little bit of moulds in the bathroom, the room is not elegant, but is enough to sleep, take a shower and walk again
Nice hotel in a good location, staff friendly and willing to help. We asked to change rooms as the one we had was a bit noisy as on the Main Street, and was swapped to a room which opens onto the courtyard. The extractor fan in our bathroom didn't work so there was a bit of a smell in there but that I think is party due to the sewage system and lack of ventilation. Overall a nice stay and good hotel.
Located within easy walking distance of Termini. Staff are friendly and accomodating . Well run, with rooms cleaned every day and great value. The showers and toilet area were kept clean and new towels every day.
