Good value and a great location
This apartment is in a great location in Rome and is walkable to just about everything. The apartment had everything we needed and check-in was seamless. The bathrooms are a bit dated and we did some troubleshooting on hot water and plumbing but when staying in the historical district of Rome this is expected. Great value for our family of 5.

Don’t trust the pictures
This property was not as shown in the pictures. It gave the impression of being unclean and creepy before we even entered. The building itself if not in good shape. I kept thinking “nobody cares for this place.” The company that operates the property had minimal communication with me before and during our stay. I have learned that is a sign that things nobody cares. They requested that I give them 30 minutes notice before my check in. I notified them 2 hours, 1.5 hours and 30 minutes prior to our arrival. I still had to wait in the ally with my kids for 30 minutes before they showed up. He apartment looked like it wasn’t cleaned for some time. The bathrooms both have mold all over them. There were bugs in one of the sinks. Linens were ripped and not in good condition. Lightbulbs were flickering about to burn out. We looked for a hotel because the whole place was gross but the entire city was sold out. Our first night was spent walking to hotels hoping that if we showed up in person they would take pity on us and find a room. No such luck. We ended up staying in the apartment giving our wonderful vacation in Italy an unpleasant ending. The only positives were that the person that checked us in really tried to make things right. He was kind and even insisted on carrying my bag up the steps when we arrived. He also replied to my message during the stay. Also, the air conditioner in the place is like none other in the entire country. We were consistently cool when in the apartment. I think this place would only be good for a group that has lower standards on cleanliness and property care.

Comfortable
Wound up being quite comfortable. En suite bathtub not nearly as clean as website photos. Shower drain in hallway bathroom drained very slowly. Very good location for restaurants, groceries, taxi stand - all within 5 minute walk. Felt secure staying here.

Nice apartment in a good location
This was a nice apartment in a good location. Good for up to four people - would be crowded with six.
Minor issues:
1. The gas stove did not light - no spark. We bought a box of matches.
2. There was no documentation on the control of the heating.
3. There was no documentation on the Wi-Fi, but it was explained by the person who checked one of us in.
4. There was no documentation on how to use the micro-wave. Microwave controls are quite on a different (and standard or universal) pattern in the USA.

Nice apartment with some tech problems and marginal responsiveness from management
The apartment was nice and clean. We stayed 8 nightsd. Beds were comfortable and the location was excellent. When we tried to use the cloths washer the unit's power went out. The unit inside circuit breakers didn't get power back up. We called and Emanuele appeared within an hour and reset a master breaker located outside the unit and left. When we tried the washer again the unit power failed, and over and over. so we gave up on the washer. When we tried to use the provided hair dryer, again unit power failed.
We called Emanuele several time before finally getting a text saying he was at the doctor. We called and texted the problems several times after his Dr excuse, but received no response. We had to take laundry out for expensive cleaning, . My daughter, a member of my son's wedding party in Rome couldn't finish her hair and had to go to a salon for a wash and dry.
Finally, we requested a small refund to compensate for the promised but undelivered basic services. Weekly Rentals, our landlord, did not respond to this request.
Indeed, the apartment in nice and clean and conveniently located but the building common areas are in a rather poor state of maintenance. Peeling paint everywhere and a bit untidy. The electric problems? We might have had a hand, but I don't know how (our only plug ins were to charge our phones, my laptop and our electric tooth brushes, and given management's unwillingness to work with us to resolve, we have to leave the blame with them.

This was a hard one to review. The location was amazing, all the necessary are there, but it also felt pretty bare bones (cheapest possible towels, linens, etc). It was clean and safe. All things said I would stay here again.

Roma
Apartment not furnished as shown in photos. Seating areas are sparse.
Representative was rude and demanded SS# claiming it was required under Italy laws. He said I would be evicted if I didn't supply it. VRBO should take action and I will report VRBO and hold it responsible if there are any repercussions on my credit.
Other than the above, the apartment was satisfactory and clean The beds are comfortable.

Great apartment, spotty service
This apartment is adorable. It's sparsely but comfortable furnished and it has lovely wooden ceilings. It's a perfect location to visit Rome. It's on the second (American) floor of a residential building two seconds from the Campo, great coffee, small grocery store and all of the major sites of Rome. We walked everywhere. The apartment itself was spotless and well stocked. The heat worked. It was on a timer that I would have loved to have had control over as the evenings were freezing. But there was plenty of hot water in December. The rental has been recently renovated. It's serviced through a parent company called Weekey. On the good side, the car they arranged to pick us up was waiting for us and there was a rep at the apartment when we got there who explained everything. During our visit, we needed a replacement coffee pot and he came right by with it.
BUT...the INTERNET did not work. They leave you a phone which is a hot spot. It did not work at all. We called and asked and were told previous tenants had used all the allotted bandwidth and it would reset in two days. While that was a drag, it was worse that it never re-set and they stopped returning our calls to get it up and working. I'm talking about basic internet...trying to download e-mail, not video, movie streaming or photographs. We ended up buying a plan from our home phone provider which cost $280 for all of us for our stay.
More worrisome is that while the beds were comfortable, the BEDDING was not adequate nor clean. The double bed had a duvet insert which was moderately warm. The two twin beds had Ikea cotton comforters which were not warm. And they were each stained with blood. I don't think they were actually dirty, but it's not acceptable. These are beds that are set with the inserts between sheets and not contained in a buttoned duvet cover. It was completely disgusting. I had read some of the reviews for the apartment and had asked about extra blankets (before I even saw the stains) and I was told there was enough bedding provided. Period.
I highly recommend that you negotiate clean bedding and working internet before renting this apartment. It is really so fantastically located and it is truly well laid out for a family visit that I hope they are able to fix these issues.

Disappointing
I have thought extensively about how to review this property. My family has been fortunate to rent 7 vacation properties in Europe/the US. We love renting apartments when we go on vacation and have never had a problematic rental. This was a 10 day rental.
Pros: Location is superb. 4 minutes from a grocery store, taxi stands, bus stops, restaurants, Campo de Fiori (veget/flower market). The Vatican is an easy 15 minute walk west of the apt, other major ruins are 15-20 minute walk east. Safe, charming neighborhood. Rooms are spacious w/high ceilings. 1 BR has 2 twin beds and private bath; other BR has a Queen bed and is very quiet. In December the radiators worked well. Dining room table accommodated 6 people. Apt windows reduced street noise, mostly people talking outside after a night of drinking--lots of stone buildings make voices louder. Would be noisier with open windows. The mgmt company offered a limo service for airport pickup. After an 11 hour flight, we appreciated it being available immediately; the driver was polite and helpful.
Cons: INTERNET RECEPTION: Texting was OK but texting a photo was extremely slow and frequently undeliverable. Internet access of any kind was a problem from iphones, ipads, and laptops. CNN or online games that teens enjoy were nearly impossible to use. Not just a WIFI issue; applied to both AT& T and Tmobile service in this particular apt. Outside the apt, we had better luck.
RESPONSIVENESS OF MGMT COMPANY: The management company was responsive prior to the rental but failed us when we had problems with an appliance and with instructions for appliances during our rental. Even with our rental experience, we (2 adults and 2 teens) could not figure out how to use the oven, microwave, dishwasher, or washing machine--key components of a rental. I asked repeatedly for verbal/written instructions from the mgmt company; almost none was provided. RELIABILITY: The oven did not work for our entire stay. The promised repair and also a promised replacement--neither happened. We spent 10 days with no way to cook a meal--no Christmas meal or Christm. cookies. I politely asked for help 14 times in writing. There was little response. I eventually asked for help from mgmt company re: finding a restaurant reservation for Christmas or to pay for our dinners or our Chris. meal--no response. No resolution. Overall, we felt abandoned. Giant hassle during vacation. I do not recommend this apt---1st time I've ever said that.

Good location but bare necessities only
The apartment is near Campo Di Fiori and is in a great location for seeing Rome. The furniture has been updated. Contact people didn’t respond when we texted after arrival in Rome but someone was waiting for us at the apartment when we got there. The apartment is clean but no amenities. NO hot water the first night and only a single sheet on each bed, one towel per person and no dish towels or paper towels. There were dirty blankets/comforter in the closet and extra pillows but no duvet covers or pillow cases. We called and texted and the water was fixed our second day and they covered the stained blankets but forgot dishtowels and didn’t come back. The kettle for heating water was peeling ceramic inside and unusable and the only two knives were bent and dull-hard to do any cooking or cleaning without a means to scrub/dry dishes. The shower head barely worked and the shower pan wouldn’t drain. It was warm and the beds were comfortable. Just a warm place to sleep-nothing more and pretty pricey with extra fees for linen/cleaning/checking in on a Sunday. I’ll avoid any VRBOs run by a large rental company in the future-no personal investment in making the apartment usable and comfortable.

We had a fabulous vacation in this charming apartment. Perfect location clean and very functional. Highly recommend it. One important piece of info the dryer is a hanging line typical of European apts. there is a very reasonably priced laundromat close by on Vic delle Grotte - Its also a Internet cafe. Enjoy!!

Perfect Location
The apartment was great for myself, my daughter and my grand daughter. Filled with charm and had all of the amenities we needed. The location is perfect. Close to everything yet quiet for sleeping at night. The alley is really narrow (which is typical in Rome) so you may have to haul luggage 1/2 a block but it wasn't bad at all. I will stay again ! Great apartment in Campo Di Fiori
Spent three nights in the apartment with a family of four. Very roomy apartment which you would not think coming off a small street. All the amenities were in good order and the apartment was clean. The apartment has AC which was a huge benefit after a long day of walking in 33C heat. Made sleep very comfortable. Considering how close the apartment is to Campo di Fiori piazza, I found the noise to be minimal and did not bother us at all. The only reason I gave it a 4 star and not 5, is because the sofas in the living room are old and tired and should be changed. Olga was great when she received us especially considering how late we were and the difficulties we experienced with our cell phone. Thank you Olga.
ps: if you want to eat the best gnocchis in your life, the ones served by the Osteria di Fortunata on the street on the way to the apartment from the Campo di Fiori are to die for, a "must not miss".

Great location, great service and a great apartment for a family of 4.
The apartment was comfortable, roomy and bright, steps from Campo di Fiore and everything that area has to offer. The AC was a lifesaver because we stayed at the tail-end the the heat wave (100 degF for the first 4 days!) The rental company offered rides to and from the airport (additional cost) that worked out great for us. We needed to leave for the airport at 6am and our ride showed up right on time and got us there in plenty of time to check in and get through security.
The kitchen is well stocked with all the plates, cups, knives cutlery and other equipment you need to eat in. There were even some basic condiments (agrodolce, salt, pepper and, of course, olive oil) to round out the bread, meat and produce we'd get for lunch from the Campo. Overall a fantastic experience for my wife, my 2 boys (12 and16) and me.

Best location, great facilities, great for Rome
Having stayed in numerous apartments in Rome over the years this would have to be one of the best!
From the moment Romina met us and conducted a seamless intro it was a great experience. The apartment was clean, well equipped, and really suited our party of four adults and one teenager.
No noise at night, great air conditioning. Have to highly recommend.
We booked through Weekey who offered amazing support and suggestions and ideas.
They also arranged affordable transfers!

Comfortable Apartment
We had a very enjoyable first visit to Rome, which was helped by the fantastic location of the apartment. Just, mainly, short walks to the major tourist attractions and with lots of locations nearby for bars and restaurants. The apartment is comfortable, but could do with some refurbishment in a few areas, particularly the bathrooms, and is much more functional then luxurious, but for a short city break, where you will spend most of the time away from the apartment it was fine. The Italian agents, Weekey, were very helpful, providing a service for the fridge to be stocked when we arrived, giving us a great app, which came via email, providing details of how things work in the apartment, key phone numbers and things to do whilst in Rome. They also are able to book tickets for you for all the tourist attractions etc. They were let down, however, by the company they use to transport their guests from the airport to the apartment. The driver was late picking us up (then had a minor car accident whilst taking us to the apartment, which wasn't his fault, but wasn't a great start to the holiday) and then didn't arrive at all on our departure day to take us back to the airport. Somebody in the Weekey office got a local taxi to collect us within minutes of contacting them and have since refunded us both the cost we paid them for the service and the amount it cost to take the taxi to the airport. If you are using them for this service, I would check with them that they are now using a more reliable company and driver.
All in all, then, comfortable apartment, great location, good service (mostly) from the Italian agents - a good place to base if you haven't been to Rome before. Would we go again - to Rome definitely, however we would look for a more luxurious/contemporary apartment next time.
