1 block from train, subway, bus station. Very convenient location. Within 1 mi of review, Spanish steps, coliseum, forum, many churches. Excellent staff, clean spacious rooms. Older building, but renovated and maintained nicely. Good price usually.

very out dated hotel. ac in our room not working well. came back at midnight after a full day and no power in the room. bellman was less than helpful. we had to switch to separate rooms in the middle of the night simce they had no larger rooms available. not a good experience.

one block from the main train station and car rentals. 10 minute walk to the colliseum. great breakfast and a nice gym. lots of restaurants around the corner. good sized room and bathroom.

Hotel and room nothing out of the ordinary. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Checkin was painless and the room was clean and more spacious than other reviews lead me to believe. The location was top notch! 3 min walk from Termini and close, walking distance to major tourist attractions (like Colosseum). Great for short stay in Rome!!

I was a little worried when I ordered this room next to the train station but it was in a fantastic location!! Not only could you hope on the Metro, but the hop on and off buses were also right there! If you wanted to walk, you can walk to all the regular tourist attractions. The colosseum was only a 10 minute walk away!! The breakfast was buffet style with lots of choices. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. All in all we had a marvelous time and were very happy with the room!!

The Hotel Atlantico is nicely located a few blocks from the Termini train station (which makes it convenient for getting to various locations in the city) as well as a variety of restaurants and the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. And the included breakfast was very nice. Based on things we read on the web, there was some concern that being near the train station would be a problem, but we didn't find that at all. We felt quite comfortable walking around, getting on the Metro, etc., and have no problem recommending it for those looking for a place to base a trip to Rome at a reasonable price.

Selected hotel due to reviews and location near train station. We were very pleased and would stay there again. Breakfast a plus.

I would highly recomend this hotel - close to everything! The staff at the front desk were the best ! They were very helpful with anything you needed. The wifi was a little week but usable. The breakfast was the best in town and of all of the hotels we stayed during our trip to Italy. You will LOVE this place...

in rome for 3 days, hotel was good in all regards, very close to the metro/train/bus station

Hotel is near to Colosseum. Took 15 mins walk. And also near to vatican city, which took 10 mins by bus. 2 mins walk to the train station and bus station. The hotel entrance was really good and also the rooms.

The free breakfast was great, bacon, eggs, fruit, juice, rolls. The room was bigger than I expected. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great, we walked to the Pantheon/colosseum. The train & bus station is only a few hundred feet away. $46 cab ride to the airport from the hotel.

I had been staying in 5* hotels for two weeks and thought that there couldn't be too much of a difference considering it was a 4*. I was wrong. the room was much smaller, the door hit the sink in the bathroom when opened. No toiletries were supplied.

I stayed only 1 night in Rome mostly to see some Modern Art Museums. One of the day shift gentleman receptionists was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting how to get these places using the subway/bus/tram. Asking for a late check-out, he allowed me without any hesitation - which was appreciated - since I was only staying for 1 night. When finding out my ambitious itinerary, he told me that if I needed a little extra time to check-out, there should not be any problems. The location of the hotel was very convenient, 1 block away from the Termini and 2 blocks away from the Republica subway stop. The room including bathroom was spacious but outdated with old furniture and very soft mattress. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. For the price, it was a good deal.

The Atlantico was perfect for my quick trip to Rome. The staff was very friendly. The room was quiet and clean. The hotel is just two blocks from Termini train station and also close to much of Rome's best attractions (Forum, Navono, Trevi, Santa Maria Maggiore, etc.). Excellent breakfast buffet included.

We arrived from the train station at night (great and economical way to get into Rome from FCO). Although we did not find the hotel right away because of where we left the train station, we were able to find Via Cavour with the help of people walking on the street. The check-in was easy and there is a lift. Our room was quite large with chairs for relaxing and a desk. There was also an in-room safe. Breakfast was a fairly large buffet in the sister hotel, nothing fancy but saved a lot of $$ eating in everyday. There was a fitness room with treadmills and a weight system also in the sister hotel (just down the stairs). Our room was made up everyday and the hotel was very clean. It was a bit noisy from the street in our room but not enough to make it a bad stay. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Highspeed wireless internet was virtually free, a nominal amount of money for 24 hours and you could log out so it was 24 hours of actual use. The location was perfect, we were able to walk everywhere, and it made it easy to get to the train station to take day trips (e.g. Pompei) without having to take a cab anywhere. We visited all the major sites, Colloseum, Forum, Vatican, and the many museums and squares. There are lots of good places to eat around.

fairly good rooms, old materials ( furniture & TV, etc.) in the room;room & bathroom needs renovation. Good breakfast.

We came to Rome 2 days early than the scheduled package tour. It was our first time in Italy and the hotel was very accessible from the airport by train. The staff were very friendly and communication in English was not a problem. After we checked-out, they offered to keep our luggage in the storage while we are waiting to check-in another hotel for the tour. This allowed us to go around Rome with less to worry about our luggage. I really appreciated the offer

We enjoy the hotel, the staff were very courteous and spoke english, my husband love it that it was only a 5 minute walk to Termini Station, it was very easy to take the different trains to any local atraction. I will recomend this hotel to anyone, when we were there we had to take 5 bags with us from the hotel to termini station to take the train to Fumicino airport and when my husband told the reception they said they will have a bellboy walk our bags to the Termini station!!! We were impressed because in July it was like 98 degrees and humed, and it was a great help to us. The breakfast buffet was in a beutiful decorated room and it was worth it. There are several restaurants within walking distance.

If you come into Rome Termini train station, this location is super - just one block away. That makes for easy bus and metro travel. The room was larger than most European rooms. The AC was marginally acceptable, but the bathroom had a tub and plenty of hot water. The parquet floor in our room was old and many of the pieces were loose, so you could not walk across the floor without making a lot of noise. The included breakfast was much better than average, including scrambled eggs, yogurt selections and fresh whole fruit. The hotel has a Mercedes car that will take you to FCO in comfort for only 46 Euros, but you need to arrange it in advance.

The hotel was out first stop in Italy and as one knows, the first stop is the most tiresome as jet lag sets in. The hotel was located just a short walk from the station, but on the more pleasant side. The location was perfect and convenient to the metro, buses, and trains. The hotel room was spacious, comforting, clean, and quiet. It was an outstanding stay in part bc the hotel was so pleasant. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was first-rate. If you can afford it, I would heartily recommend a stay here. Sure you pay more, but you also get the amenities to make the trip more comfortable.
