Beautiful place with beautiful views. The ridgeview patio was fantastic!
Subterranean room was ok(no view obviously). Decent size room. Towels were very scratchy. Location was fabulous; right next to the lake. Great for evening walks. Hot tub was not full and not hot enough. Outside fire pits were very nice.
Everything was relatively updated and clean. Excellent location and friendly staff.
Staff was nice, rooms were dated. Nice view of the lake where elk were all around.
I booked 3 weeks or more before triip. When I arrived, all the other rooms were already taken, so they gave me the Hospitality Suite. That had two balconies with lakeside and mountain views, living room sofas, comfy chairs, plus dining room table. All including wifi. Delightful treat. :)
Hotel has a great scenic location on the lake and is very new. Unfortunately, it seemed highly understaffed for the vacation season. We couldn't check in until the housekeeper cleaned the rooms, there was only one person working in the restaurant and the bartender had the attitude of someone who didn't want to be working at all. Better staffing would make a better experience for all guests.
I loved the location of the hotel. Horseback riding was right across the street, that was my favorite experience.
The room was comfortable, but was in a basement. Could not see anything but a sliver of sky. This was not worth the amount paid. Also the hot tub was closed and the internet wouldn't work right. It kept disconnecting and I couldn't do anything. The view in the restaurant was fabulous.
I booked in April for our stay in June and I was given a room with a handicap shower which was not comfortable at all. There was also no way to control the temperature in the room.
A room with a view. Nice grounds. Hotel staff friendly. I think a little pricey for whAt you get but your paying for the view me location.
The room was nice and clean. But the view wasnˊt good as we stayed on the first floor. We love the restaurant!
We stayed here in December for my boyfriends birthday and for $170 we had a "garden view" meaning, a view of a retainer wall. The woman at the front desk, the perfect bed and pillows, Lake Estes and the surrounding beauty plus the amazing drive up, are the reasons we came back. This time for $140 we got a second level room with a view of the front door and the parking lot. If you don't care about the view from your room and are going to get out and see the surroundings then this is a great place to stay.
I am sure the combination of more than a month long fire in Rocky Mtn Natl Pk and the "off" season was the reason we pretty much had the run of the place. Normal tourism was down due to the fire closing the nearest park entrance. Several other guests were evacuees. The staff was very accommodating and even with a hint of smoke in the outside air I had a memorable visit and would suggest the venue to all.
"Upgraded" to the handicaped room by the elevator, meaning the sink was outside of the bathroom and the noise at 6 am from guests leaving woke us up. Annoying for two 30 year olds on a romantic vacation. Hot Tub was shallow and needed more water. Fitness room was sad. Went to the bar for drinks after dinner and not only were the poor bartenders slammed, but there was no music playing. What could have been a lively bar was just dull. However, the room had a view that was beautiful, but not worth the $250 we spent.
