Leave your worries behind & escape to this unique space. Located on the Southernmost stretch of Nova Scotia's Old Highway One; you are only minutes from town, but far far away from any bustle. This cozy home combines the charm of an old sailor's cottage with modern fixtures, a spa like bathroom & comfortable furnishings. It features an expansive patio & large windows for guests to take in the beautiful front door view of a cattle pasture valley that extends to the Atlantic where a small island rests.

There are three bedrooms; one queen, and two doubles. One full bathroom, that boasts a extra large rainfall shower, that is handicap friendly, and a large sink. The kitchen is setup with a modern stainless steel fridge, range and a large basin sink. There is an island and a 4 to 6 person dining table,and a wood stove for a cozy dining experience. There is also an office area fitted with a desk and some light exercise equipment.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a fireplace, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

Very enjoyable, lots of great beaches in the area, beautiful views, easy access to the ferry. We loved the neighbors farm animals, and the cows across the street were a big hit with the kids. The house is small, but well maintained, and well equipped.

Cozy little cottage

We had a great time staying here. It was pure luck because our ferry got canceled, and we were happy Joshua had an open night. The cottage is adorably decorated and has a million things to look at, including old family photos, knick knacks, and even a record player. It was super windy the day we were there (the reason the ferry was canceled was big swells), so we didn’t get to use the outdoor space much, but it was nice and included an umbrella for shade. My kids felt super comfortable here with the big beanbag chair and all the fun decor.There are stairs leading to 2/3 of the bedrooms, and none of the bedrooms have doors, which is something to keep in mind when booking. The downstairs bedroom does have curtains as a door. As the cottage is over 100 years old, some of the floor transitions are noticeable. There are not a lot of overhead lights in the older part of the house, so they left little flashlights to use if necessary at night, but they also have ceiling lights with a dimmer in the living room and a light up lighthouse light near the bathroom, so we didn’t use the flashlights. My family loved the character, and none of these things were an issue for us. The kitchen and bathroom have been remodeled and include the modern amenities. The host was great with communication, and everything was clean. This house is 12 minutes from the ferry terminal, but feels a world away and peaceful. We even spotted a baby duck next door. Thanks for a great stay!
