We really enjoyed the rental during our families annual beach trip. It was is a great location and the pool was great addition to our vacation. We would recommend the home to our friends and family visiting the area.

How was nice besides the roaches

The house was nice, nice pool in the complex, good location. However the floor was filthy like it hasn’t been mopped in months and there were the little roaches in the kitchen and we had big roaches upstairs including in the bed.

Family trip

We had a great family trip to Sailhouse for spring break. The house was beautiful and was as shown in the pictures. The house was very close to the water. Just a short walk down a boardwalk to the pier. We enjoyed going to the pier to fish and also playing at the little beach by the pier. The pool was nice also. It was just a short drive to downtown Fulton. We loved the quiet beautiful community and would definitely go back again. Would highly recommend renting this property.

Bring your cleaning supplies

We’ve stayed at another rental at Sailhouse before, and enjoyed our experience very much. This time was different, the house had an odor, and there was dog hair everywhere. My wife sat down on the couch prior to going out for dinner, when she stood up, her dark colored dress was covered in dog hair. So much that she had to change. Myself, our 20 year old daughter and our 7 week old all became congested after sleeping there our first night. When we reached out to Vacasa, their auto generated text responded with “we created a service ticket and someone will be reaching out shortly”…no one ever did. We ended up checking out 3 days early and found another rental in town.

Mosquito vacation week

We arrived on a Monday only to find out 4 days AFTER thru an email that the pier and private access would be closed until mid July. We had called when arriving but weren't given any specifics. The whole reason we rented this house was for the fishing/beach access and we had none. A heads up would have been nice and appreciated, as we planned to fish there and hang out but had to load up each day and time we wanted to go fishing. We were there for a total of 7 days and were short on towels, trash bags and tolietries. We ended up buying trash bags and some toiletries. The trash can when we first got there had little sugar ants everywhere. I tried to clean them up but they kept showing up. We had to wash towels almost daily to have clean ones for the next day. Also the mosquitos were horrific this trip! We couldn't enjoy anything outside and around the property which made it ever more frustrating not having a pier open to fish . We went to the pool one day and were swarmed with mosquitos. I am well aware of them being thicker in the summer and humid areas, but you'd think around the houses and pool, the maintenance could fog for them being so bad! It just made it miserable for the kids and everyone. You couldn’t walk in the garage, they were getting in. You couldn’t open the truck door without having them all in your vehicle by the time you left. Also be aware of gators! They were near by the waters after the storm. The house itself is pretty and spacious. It had a good variety of kitchen utensils and a lot of space. Of course there are things I wish were different but over all it was fine.
