This is the place to be for a Cinque Terre vacation
Centrally located high above the towns of Manarola and Cornelia, you’ll have a hard time deciding which way to go. But, with enough time (3-5 days), you can do it all.

Very small and out of the way 😕
The description indicated that the place was in Riomaggiore which, to a tourist, would tell you that it's in Riomaggiore. It's not. I did not find out until too late. The place is in Volastra, which is a shuttle bus ride up the hill from Manarola. When we left we had to take a taxi to get to the train on time. This was arranged by the owner and we were told it would be "about €20, maybe €25, between €20 and €30". It was €30!! For a 5 minute trip! I think they take advantage of tourists here.
The room was so small that there was nowhere to open 2 small suitcases and barely enough room to move. There was no air conditioning so we had to have the window open all night. This made sleeping difficult as it was right onto the lane.
The owners were very nice and served breakfast in the morning which consisted of bread, a cup of youghert, coffee and juice. The view from the terrace was breathtaking.
If you want to visit the Cinque Terre, my advice is to stay in La Spezia and take the train in. That's more convenient.

A lovely place to stay with the most friendly and helpful owners.
Perfect location to set out hiking! Smallish room, but nicely furnished and very clean. Roof terrace with an incredible view and comfortable for relaxing. I would go back anytime to the Cinqueterra and hopefully I could stay here again!

Absolutely Charming!
We loved the friendly little village of Volastra and this charming B & B. It was an excellent location for visiting Cinque Terre, especially since we had a car, and parking was not a problem here. Everything was very clean. There was plenty of hot water for our showers. The bed was comfortable. WiFi worked just fine. We were able to have breakfast on the terrace the first morning, and the view is just like in the photo! At night we were able to stargaze from the terrace, and it was beautiful! It was raining the other 2 mornings, and Donatella served a very pleasant breakfast in the kitchen. We had meant to arrive with plenty of daylight, but that didn't happen, so we had a little difficulty finding the building in the dark, but a friendly neighbor took us right to the front door. There is a trail connecting Volastra to Manarola, which is one of the famed Cinque Terre towns, but we never got around to taking it. The upper trail through Cinque Terre also runs right through Volastra. Donatella had told us some of the most spectacular views were on that upper trail from Volastra to Corniglia, so we had to try it. We were not disappointed and could not stop taking photos! The first part went through vineyards and olive groves, then through some woods. There were some steep slopes, but the hike into Corniglia was worth it. After lunch, we hiked up and down from Corniglia to Vernazza, where we had delicious pine-nut flavored gelato! At the end of the day, it was easy to catch the bus from Vernazza back to Volastra. On our second day, we drove into Riomaggiore, and from there we took the train to Manarola and Monterosso, so we got to visit all 5 towns in 2 days. We will recommend this B&B to everyone we know who is thinking of visiting Cinque Terre - it is a great location whether you have a car or want to take public transportation, and it is away from the crowds! Grazie e ciao, Donatella!

Quaint,clean,all necessary conveniences
We had a great 3 nights at Il Vigneto. Great to stay in a local community. Commuting to each town was very easy. Disappointed that we did not have internet in the apartment. Internet is only available in the B&B, however we did have access to the terrace and secure Internet at any time. It was a bit hard to find once we parked the car but the locals were very accommodating.

Buona posizione.
