Being close to the park. Didn’t like the facts the room did not feel clean.

It was nice and clean close to park and nice people...it was quite

To start with the hole in the parking lot could knock your car out of alignment to the rude and unknowlegable/unprofessional front desk persons to the dead roach carcasses in the room.

I loved the Powerful Shower... wish I could take it home with me.

Smokers room smells terrible people it’s great Not a good experience

Loved the fact that it was just a quick walk across the parking lot to Kings Dominion, which is why I chose it, as it was the closest hotel to the park. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and even let us check in early. I was disappointed with the fact that the Denny's is no longer open, which means the only nearby restaurant is Burger King. The lady on the evening shift was sympathetic to this, and was very helpful in directing us to other restaurants at the next exit, which was about 6 miles down the road on I-95, in Ashland ("...literally one exit away", as she told us). She directed us to a "Cook-Out" - had never been to one, and was very happy with her recommendation (two of us ate for $8.00, including tax - incredible). Hotel could use some attention, and there was a slightly musty smell in the room, but it was not bad - room was fairly clean, and beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

For the 2nd year in a row, check-in was horrendous. The room wasn’t ready at 4:00 check in (which I feel is too late for check-in anyway...should be at least by 3:00), while others checking in were getting their rooms. I was told the room would be ready in 15 minutes and when I went to our room it had not even been started being cleaned and the housekeeper said she had just gotten there and didn’t know that it was supposed to be ready yet. The hotel general manager, Cleo, said she couldn’t switch our room to one that was ready, even though we had a sick child that needed a bed to lay in. And Cleo was somewhat rude...she said all the right things but didn’t say them in a very nice way. We stayed in this hotel for many years before when it was a Best Western and have never had a problem until the new management. The only bright spot was the housekeeper who helped me try to get another room and when we couldn’t get another one, she switched to cleaning our room immediately so that we could get in as soon as possible. And she was very quick and efficient at getting the job done. We are also unhappy that the Denny's is not there...or any restaurant. It was really nice to have an option other than amusement park food and would usually eat breakfast and another meal when staying at the hotel. Overall, we have been highly disappointed in the new management and service offered at this location.

The room looked as it hasn’t been used in a while. Dead bugs was laying on the furniture and floor. The bathroom floor looked as it had been clean with a dirt mop. Dry hair all over it.

I would recommend replacement of the some of the furniture. The chairs in the room needs to be replaced

Close to KD don't want to add any more It was close to kings d

my grandsons and I enjoyed the visit- shuttle was nice

The pool was great and it was in walking distance from kings dominion

Very nice and clean. Love it's In walking a distance to the park or they have a shuttle for you

Room was clean. hotel close to sport center. had a very good experience there.

I loved location, room was clean and beds comfy. When we checked in sign said karaoke and happy hour drink and appetizer specials. When we went to bar by pool. No one knew anything and drink special were the title of drinks. $8.50 per drink was the special. Oh well didn't buy any at that price and no appitzers either just hotdogs. We did like that Denny's was connected right to hotel and free shuttle to park was great but it is also a small walk if choose to walk. All in all we loved the hotel, the park too and would consider it again if in area.

I went with friends for Kings Dominion Gay Days. The location is perfect and walking distance to the park. They had a special event at the hotel bar after the event and the party continued into the night. It's certainly not the most luxurious resort, but the close proximity and the onsite bar made it well worth it. We all had a blast!

This hotel is walking distance to Kings Dominion. You can't beat the location. Great Value.

We apologize that you were unhappy with your stay. As we are a destination location at a theme park and check out isn't until 11, we have to give our housekeepers the opportunity to get in and clean each room to our hotel standards. We also apologize that the Denny's is no longer here, as that was a decision made by Denny's not us as they did not receive much business in the winter when the park is closed. We are sorry you were disappointed and we thank you for your feedback.
