RENTER BEWARE! WORST PROPERTY MANAGER EVER (LUIS)
This is a nice villa with a nice view... and that's where the 'PROS' end. We just completed a 6-day trip to Madeira which was awesome with the sole exception of dealing with the properly manager of this villa LUIS from ATLANTIC HOLIDAY RENTALS. Our group has rented well over 50 homes/villas over 15 years and this was BY FAR the worst, most unprofessional experience we've ever dealt with. Where to start... 1) The property has a serious COCKROACH problem (we had to kill four total that were in our clothes, shoe, and shower) and also has an ANT inestation all over the lower floor. There are ant traps everywhere in the house so they're aware of this but told us it was becuase they found crumbs from us eating, LOL! So, don't eat in the villa we spent 3k euro to rent? 2) They charge you to heat the pool 45 euros a day, so cost us an additional 270 euros total. (which is not listed on the VRBO property details) and you only find this out the day before the rental. They don't even heat the pool that much and when we asked if they could heat it a little more they flat out said NO. 3) The pool is in really bad shape; one whole side is missing tile and they have some weird caulk on it.. huge eye-sore. 4)They completely turned off the hot water on us the last day so we all had to take cold showers and the pool was also cold. 4) Two of the showers are completely clogged and filled up with water when trying to use them 5) Minor defects throughout the house. DONT RENT HERE!
