The property exceeded our expectations. it was comfortable and brand new. Everything you need was there and the river view was very peaceful. The weather was warm so boats and jet skis were going by. There is a restaurant at the end of the street that people travel to on the water and dock while they eat. That will be first on our list of to-does next time. The hosts provided a Handy notebook with instructions for how to run the HVAC,the dishwasher,etc....nothing came up that he had not provided instructions for.We know the area and found it easy and quick to go to Hickory ,Granite Falls and to Morganton. Hickory is a 10 minute drive.The Riverwalk and aviation walk are no more than 15 minutes.This cottage will definitely be our go to place for a peaceful getaway when we come to Hickory a few times per year.

The entire place was so peaceful and I had everything I needed. When I was forced to extend my stay due to an ice storm they made sure I was safe and made it easy to extend my stay.

Beautiful home, well decorated and being so close at the river was magic. The sunrise was beautiful and so was the sunset. Absolutely worth it!

Most VRBO's are older houses that are showing their age a little. Not this one. We walked into a essentially brand new house..new furnishings...new appliances...new dishes/cups/knives. etc. It has great view of the river...just a few steps away (new dock). It feels relatively remote but it is within a 10 minute drive of shopping and restaurants (though there is a very nice restaurant a few hundred feet away. The area under the house is great place to relax on a warm summer day. Watching the Osprey dive for fish and the Great Blue Herons perch on the trees across the river was another thing I looked forward to each morning. I simply can't say enough nice things about this house. We will be back.

We loved the house! It was so clean and modern…. The area was quiet and relaxing. We spent most of our time fishing off the dock. We especially enjoyed the screened porch at night. We hope to be back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our host was very attentive to our needs. The dock was very nice to have to lounge and swim from. The area under the house was our favorite hangout spot. We would recommend this property to others.

The cutest place. Everything is brand new, well equipped, pleasantly decorated and the outside area is phenomenal. We so enjoyed our stay. Would strongly recommend for a fun relaxing quiet trip.

Waterside weekend

We really enjoyed the home and loved that we were able to walk to the local restaurant and live music! Unfortunately the dock pictured was not in use do the hurricane damage but we still did some fishing from the bank and relaxed in the hammock under the home. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place the chill

Beautiful river/lake front property was exactly what we needed to reset! Owner was great and very accommodating and the place was perfectly clean and comfortable! Loved the decks and views, and the fish were always biting.
