First, close to the train station. Second, lovely Hotel...would recommend for Business or tourist. Room was plain, very clean, great bed and very nice bathroom. Public areas are beautiful and they have a chapel. Outside sitting area to relax or smoke Close to everything you will want to see in Ravenna. Staff very helpful at desk Breakfast was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking fo a wonderful stay in Ravenna.
Everything was very good except the size of the room and shower. It felt like in Japan and not like in Italy. It was almost impossible to use the shower The staff was extremely nice and the lobby is beautiful. It is also in a very good location.
spacious family apartment with big beds and big dining table tho no kitchenette, great Italian breakfast, nice location from main train station - 10 min. walk. With big supermarket nearby. Nice reception staff.
Really good. Easy walking distance of amazing mosaics and central piazzas. Clean. Staff very helpful when we extended our stay. Breakfast good not perfect. But doesn’t distract from overall excellence
Beautiful hotel near the train station and well located to see the mosaics of Ravenna if that is what you are traveling to see. Breakfast has very diverse options for all types of diets. Well located to get to the centre of town or to a mosaic class as well. Spacious rooms.
Style and Service combine in this hotel: great rooms in a building over 150years old, that has been renewed and furnitured with style. The staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast super and the wifi working.
On our way from Vedelago to Sirolo, we stayed 1 night at this beautiful palazzo and enjoyed it a lot. The room alone already made it worth the visit to Ravenna: frescoed ceiling, enormous bathroom,we were really blown away when entering the room ! Then there was the staff, friendly and efficient, and the breakfast, just great. The hotel is well situated too, not far from the main square yet very quiet. In front lies the Sant'Appolinare Nuovo. In short: the best choice when visiting Ravenna !
We stayed 3 nites traveling with OAT. The room is very spacious and well payed out. We enjoyed the brkfst and coffee was much to our liking. The room tended to be to warm for our taste and one could not leave the window open due to the street traffic noise. SUGGEST that one might consider requesting a room away from street side.
On reading what other people say I always wonder why they didn't bother reading the hotel's own description of its services first? That way some wouldn't sound so daft. It is a large building midway between centre and railway station on a pleasant road. It admits to limited parking, a point which seemed lost on a previous reviewer who rants about not being able to (re)park his car! The building has clearly been completely renovated, and hence lacks any 'Palazzo' fittings, apart from the enormous ground floor rooms, which look as if they are only missing a dinosaur skeleton. On going to our room through these vast rooms we were somewhat surprised to find a quite modest room with an even more 'modest' en suite. Perfectly serviceable of course, and clean and functional, even if you do need to close the door to sit on the loo! Apparently there are larger rooms. Having said all that, it is good value for money, being within easy walking distance of Ravenna's centre. Breakfast a very satisfactory buffet. There is a bar, but one suspects costs are kept down by not employing too many staff and the barman has to multifunction! Ravenna is a beautiful place to spend a few days, and this is an ideal place to stay (perhaps in the larger rooms!!)
My husband and I had stayed in this hotel ten years ago while traveling in Italy and had enjoyed our stay. Traveling with a friend, this time, we decided to stay again. We were not disappointed. Our rooms and baths were very clean and the public rooms, as well. There are several nicely furnished rooms for people to relax in the downstairs area and a terrace, as well. There is limited parking at the hotel, and we were lucky to be able to make use of it. A special surprise were the HUGE bowls of Lindt candies in the public rooms. They were kept filled - at all times! YUM!! If we are in Ravenna in the future we will not hesitate to stay here, again.
