We loved our stay here! It is close enough to the major attractions that you do not feel like you are missing out but with enough distance to feel restful and separate. The staff is incredibly kind, accommodating, and hospitable; the BnB is quaint and comfortable; and all the amenities were present, with a personal touch. We hope to return! It was such a great part of our trip.

A gem at the coast

Beautiful gardens, monkeys, sloths, birds. Private, quiet, secure with a 2 min walk across to beach. Hosts terrific and breakfast good.

Before I begin, this review is from the point of view of two females in their 30’s not traveling with kids: This bed and breakfast was simply amazing. The area was safe and quiet, with a beautiful beach walking distance and a market and restaurant 5 minutes away. There were lots of wildlife around including sloths, monkeys, macaws, squirrels, hummingbirds, and lots more. Lettika was an amazing host, she made us feel truly welcomed, any questions we had or anything that was needed was a simple message away or she was usually on site. The breakfast was delicious and fulfilling and they truly made you feel at home. The room was spacious, clean at all times, the AC worked really well and there was hot water. The pillows and beds were comfortable. The patio had a hammock and plenty of space to relax after all our adventures (wearing bug spray is a must outside!) we rented a car and it was the wisest decision we made as we had freedom to roam around and public transportation is a long walk from the bed and breakfast. If we had a choice to come back, we would pick this bed and breakfast with no questions asked.

Can I give at least 11 points? :). Everything was great. Lattika and her husband runs this place perfectly. Every little details are taken care of. Beautiful little gem close to the beach. Clean rooms. Very comfortable beds. Amazing homemade breakfast. Nice pool. But my favorite thing was the animals, specially the early morning monkey invasion. Thank you Lettika for the amazing hospitality!

Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by Lettika who gave us a tour of the B&B and introduced us to the onsite sloth lounging in the tree. She was always available for any questions. Our room was gorgeous and very clean with a beautiful screened patio. We were able to walk to the beach within 3 min and ran across a group of Macaws munching on almonds in a tree along with monkeys. The property is absolutely beautiful and the continental breakfast was our favorite breakfast during our entire vacation. The homemade bread, jams, and salsas are divine! I hope we can one day return to Jardin de los Monos! Thank you Lettika!

I will be back! This is my 9th visit to this incredible country and a first in Mantapalo and Jardín de los monos. It has everything you need for a peaceful stay with an incredible host. I loved all the small details and only the sounds of jungle at night. I am a terrible sleeper and here I slept sooo well here. The beach access incredible too and sandy beach for easy entrance and long walks. My fiancé and I can’t say enough about this hidden gem❤️

Perfect stay in quiet remote location

Beautiful quiet location. I am glad we did not stay in Quepos which is where we were initially looking. Owners were kind and helpful. Lovely garden and room. We stayed in the King Suite and it was perfect— took a couple of baths over the three nights there. We saw a sloth in the trees right when we arrived. There are many monkeys on the property. Short walk to the beach. I would love to come back and spend more days here !

Hidden little gem

Highly recommend staying here. It’s not too far from Manuel Antonio or Domincile. It is off the beaten track with a beautiful beach and sunsets. The accommodations are beautiful with a nice pool and hammocks to laze away on. Our hosts were wonderful with some great suggestions for nice day trips to enjoy. I recommend the Rainforest tour with a doable hike and nice waterfalls to enjoy. The gardens are beautiful with monkies and sloths in the trees. You must go!
