Stayed for one night, paid $460 for a room that wasn’t ready at 2pm for check in, cleaning had left towel from previous guest, mould in bathroom and missing the plug for the bath. Also soaps are clearly watered down. There were 6 of us and we only got 1GB of data to share, then we had to pay. Rooms are ok but certainly not worth what we paid.
We book here for 3 nights. WiFi was meant to come with the apartment but for some reason, would not let us ‘connect’. Upon telling the manager this, he proceeded to blame us for having iPhones as to why it didn’t work. We told him that we had to sit in the car park late at night to use the WiFi (where connection was perfect - on our iPhones!) to which he replied “you’re the only ones who complain about the WiFi.” Secondly our cooker didn’t work, to which the manager kindly came and looked at it, stating it did work: he just turned the hobs on before leaving. Served a purpose as a place to stay: facilities were clean and useable! But won’t be staying again.
Tried to book motel on line and didn't receive confirmation email so thought I should contact motel direct to check booking. When I phoned they told me they would not send a confirmation of booking until payment was received so I gave them my card details and details required and thought it was all go. until I turned up in Queenstown with two kids and no where to stay. They advised me that they had emailed me? Email address was written down incorrectly with a dot missing. So we never received it. They advised card details were wrong.? Every other motel we have stayed at for the last 3 weeks used the same card with not a problem? Was that written incorrectly too? Would have been nice to have had a phone call, or did they get that wrong too? This was the worse experience we have ever had with a motel. So with two kids and no where to go we had to hunt down a motel in Queenstown in the busiest time of year. Would advise not double checking booking but triple check. Our 3 week trip around the South Island will be remembered by being homeless for a night. Very sad.
If you want to be away from the hussle and bussle but handy to the airport, to good dining, to the swimming pool and main shops this is a great place to stay. Easy access to lake and cycle/walkway into central Queenstown but also access to a lovely quiet stretch of lakefront. Clean comfortable accomodation, well serviced, home away from home.
We stayed the for 5 nights . Found it to be one of the best accomodations for us .nice , clean and hygiene . Close to main road and staff were very friendly. Car parking space is available with nice restaurants around
We arrived here yesterday and my elderly friend got sick and ended up in hospital. I let the owners know what was happening and the husband (I can't spell his name) immediately gave me his personal # and told me to call day or night if I needed anything. Also said even though I had a car he would drive us wherever we needed to go. He and his wife have organised another apartment for us so that when my friend gets out of hospital he won't have to climb the stairs to the bedroom. The apartments are fantastic and I just wish we were here under better circumstances. I give these people10 out of 10 for their caring and compassionate natures. On a nicer day the view is fantastic from the bedroom window.
Checked in for 3 nights (return business traveller) and was given a run down and very tired apartment. Very disappointed with the lack of quality. The stairs squeaked when walking up, the bathroom certainly needed an upgrade. Old shower curtain over a very old bath. Peeling paint, split wooden window sills. Only one pillow on the double bed, the other pillow didn't have a pillow case. Won't be returning.
Last minute booking after a muck up where we booked. Friendly on the phone, very welcoming. Parking, free wifi and a lovely apartment. Close to Frankton and airport, main drag to everywhere else. Would def stay again.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. We were with family from overseas. Although not in the town centre, it is perfect for access to airport as well as local restaurants, fastfood outlets within walking distance. Access to State Highways to Milford Sound, etc. Has everything you could ask for including washing machine and dryer included. Very friendly, helpful and informative host.
Ideal location, right next to the Queenstown bus terminal, just a short drive away from the city centre. Beautiful mountain views in the rooms facing towards Frankton road (we didn't stay in the apartments right on the road and it was still a lovely view!). Also walking distance from the airport, and a short drive to the supermarket (Countdown) too. Booked for 3 nights during our stay in Queenstown. Fantastic apartment, loved the two storey design and it was extremely clean with everything provided. Great for my family as we were able to cook some food as well when we weren't feeling like eating out. Clean towels were provided and changed daily, as well as a washing machine was a great positive. Wonderful layout of the bedrooms, bathroom (with soap, body wash and shampoo) and comfy lounge with great TV channel options. We were spoilt for choice with everything on TV! Colin was extremely friendly and welcoming upon our arrival, and was eager to provide us with information about good places to go to for food, as well as places of interest in the area throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend this for any stay in Queenstown.
