Nothing exceptional Sand flies were very bad on small beach by pool.

Overall we liked the property a lot. Tehy had good food places except Lemon and Fish all food there sucked. Kids club is awesome! Gyms were small but good and clean except few people including me could not breathe in there because of the smelly chemicals they pump in so much to make plase smell good. It gave us allergoes scratchy throats and coughing. Kids had the same issue at kids club even though it seemed less strong there. This was a big issu for us had to unplug the damn dispenser and open doorto be able to work out. Otherwise felt lungs dilating and scratchy throat big time. Spa was great! Nice entertainment too.

What I did not like was asked to go a meeting that took an hour and 15 minutes of my vacation time. The meeting was basically about buying time share which I did not go on vacation to do. Because of this meeting it kind of messed up my vacation.

The Great and The bad. Great hotel overall. The great: check-in, nice equipped suite, gourmet food at the restaurants, decent main buffet, gourmet beach restaurant and service at the beach, gourmet drinks at the bars, wagon to the beach, kids retreat center, kindness of common staff members, clean water in the pools, well maintained grounds, no bugs in the room- yeah - even on the ground floor - zero bugs. Super friendly kids care stuff!!! Secure - very focused security at the beach - they do see everything and are helpful. Service at the beach - amazing. The bad: floors in rooms dirty - do not wear white socks -:) and don’t put things under the bed, don’t let your infant crawl, haha. Mini- buffet service - refill missed 2 times in 1 week. No water and no beer. 1 time I called and they brought. The second time I called twice - they said sure! But no service each time :-( they do not remove sea weed from the beach like some other hotels. Finally, I hate to disappoint - but unfortunately what should be their main hit or the main guest magnet - the Concierge service - well - all roads lead to Rome, and I should let you figure this out... Don’t be confused! Their eyes are on you :-)

I was actually upgraded to the Grand Reserve and I loved their all white structural theme. I also loved the food, the rooms were amazing, the service was top notch, everyone was friendly, and I felt safe! Overall had a great time. The only thing I did not like was that I did not feel the Dominican culture in the resort. I am of dominican descent and I expected to hear merengue and bachata music and be able to dance it. It was non-existent. If I wanted to hear classic pop music, I could easily do that in the states. I want them to be proud of the culture and showcase it a lot more, especially via the music. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay.

The property was very nice and clean, the staff as expected was very attentive and hospitable. The swim up suite was the best room we've ever experienced. The one bad thing in our vacation was the food which was a huge disappointment. The Meat Haus Restaurant cooked a very good Steak and the Mangu for breakfast was spot on. Other than that it lacked in every sense of the word.

Great: the people and the concierge service Good: Great beach and pools Bad: The facilities: we paid for The Reserve and had problems in 3 out of 3 rooms: water issues, ac not working. After that, we moved to the Palma Real and the rooms were better. The restaurants were "All Inclusive", but the good things were not included: Good steaks and seafood. This is our first and last Melia for sure!

Very elegant and high class. The minute you walk in, it sure feels like paradise! Our room was super big, clean, and modern. Everyone treated us kindly, you can tell customer satisfaction is their main priority. We even know the employees by heart. When we arrived, Alfonso greeted us with a smile and helped us with our luggage. Let's not talk about Yesica our guest services, she was very helpful and was there whenever we needed her. Yuri was mostly our waitress- always smiling and very attentive. The bartenders Julio and Yohandy were also attentive and very communicative! I'm gonna miss all these people. I would definately come back to this resort :)
