Everyone was very friendly and the hotel grounds are beautiful! Food was Excellent as well! I will be coming back very soon!

Overall an amazing experience. My husband, daughter and I stayed for 3 nights. Room was extremely spacious and well appointed. Staff was helpful and food was good. Our daughter really enjoyed the Kidzone and the staff there is great. Beach was clean. The grounds of the resort are well kept up and makes you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. Great family vacation and we will probably be back.

The short version review. It's really two hotels. If you want quiet no beach easy going, you stay at the reserve. If you want the beach and more activity, I recommend you pick a room near the beach. A golf cart driven by staff is required to shuttle you back and forth from the Reserve and the beach. It's very annoying, there is no running cart, you get to the front and you wait. Then more people come and they would literally take the cart you were waiting for. Room is nice, staff is helpful when you tip. Food was ok.

Excellent service; great for families. Staff went above and beyond to please the guests; Kids zone was one of the best I've ever been to. Food / Restaurants were excellent.

very rude staff, not friendly, hostile, racial preferential. Staff defines what nationality you are, and they give better treatment for Spanish speaking travelers. Bad attitude to mix couples, Asians, Americans. Very slow service. You need to call them 5 times in order to get a better service. Not good English. Most of the staff don't understand what you want from them. Service is bad. Most of them don't care about you. Not friendly environment.

Nice location. Family friendly. Close to the beach. Totally wonderful staff. Catered to all our needs. Good selection of a la carte restaurants. Decent buffet. Overall for us to he staff won our hearts.

Seriously love it. Friendly stuff, spacious rooms, beautiful surroundings, deliousious food and nice beach. I was there with my family, and it's turn out perfect!

Overall hotel stay was satisfactory however my biggest complaints was the seaweed on the beach made it impossible to swim and the service was mediocre at best.

The Reserve was absolutely Beautiful but the service was deplorable! The food and the liquor were good not great, but the big problem was the quality of service. The staff acted as if it pained them to assist us and overall were rather rude. In the restaurants the staff never offered to refill our drinks, didn't ask if we needed anything else, and rarely ever checked on our tables. This by far is the worst service I've ever received especially for the amount of money I spent! I would definitely return to the Dominican Republic but not to this resort!!!

I will never stay at a Paradisus resort again, electricity went off the day before my departure, everything of the resort is outdated, staff was friendly and loved the kid zone but service and accommodations were obsolete

Beautiful hotel ,friendly staff. The spa was amazing!

When I booked my travel I requested 2 beds, in a 1 bdrm suite. My mom and I were vacationing for her birthday. When we got to The Reserve we were told that we had been "upgraded" to a master suite (one king size bed). Never-mind that I specifically requested 2 beds, during booking. My mom and I both expressed our displeasure about sleeping in the same bed. Needless to say, a 1 bdrm suite, with 2 beds would be available until the next day. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, management insisted that they had done us a favor. Unfortunately, we had several issues that required management attention and they found it impossible to admit any fault. We were in rm 5108, the safe worked when it wanted to. Sometimes on the first try it would open, other times it would take 10 or more attempts. I called for someone to repair the safe (several times), they said it was the battery; but no one every replaced the battery. Then, there was the time we decided to eat lunch at the main resort. They treated us like we were trying to steal food, because we didn't have wrist badges. So, we had to go back to management to get a badge, we had been there for 2 days, by then. Instead of saying we apologize for not giving you the badge upon arrival the manager smirked and put the badges on our wrists. Management refused to take responsibility for any of their shortcomings. I can't say enough how awful management is. But the bright side is the facilities are absolutely lovely!

It was our second time staying in this resort. As usual, the place was impeccable in terms of cleanliness, services, room, and staff. Our stay and activities were very well coordinated. Special thanks to Elvis who helped us with reservations. Kids club staff was phenomenal. We would most definitely come back without a single doubt. If you have kids and want a quite, family oriented resort, with kids being entertained...The Reserve is for you!

Pretty good hotel by any standard. But just a little above what you can get elsewhere in the DR. Also, expect to pay for good service. You can see the change if you leave tips.

beautiful hotel and grounds. great staff, terrific food and drinks, clean wide beach, fun bars at night good gym with energetic staff..tough spinning instructors !

Hotel: We booked what we thought was a beach view. The reserve portion of the compound is not on the beach. They will ask you when you arrive to upgrade or you will have to golf cart it back and forth. The reserve is fine, a bit worn but it was quiet and had several pools. The main hotel is larger, pools are huge, right off the beach, restaurants are all there and the all inclusive dinig is triple the size. Staff: right when you arrive you are seated and told you receive a guest service point person. This person schedules everything for you and shows you the property. She was fine but didn't break anything down for us just tried to sell. We have credits and we had to figure out where to pick them up or we would have lost them. (Would have been nice for her to arrange that for us) you can't really make reservations with out this contact. We kept ordering different drinks, the bartenders needed tips for real alcohol. People were friendly, hard working, but definitely needed tips to be realaccommodating. Spa: very good. Facility good. Service great. Price avg. Food: we are from New York so hard to top. I would give the dining hall more credit then he restaurants. Wish the hotel really went all out and had a full Dominican menu. Beach: again tips take you far. The first rows are always "booked". The beach itself was very nice. Overall: it was fine (I would have said good if it weren't for the constant hustle), perfect weather, nice beach, and we met some really nice people.

checked the reviews ahead of purchasing and now i know that 95% of reviews are "fake" reviews done by the hotel hosts on behalf of guests so they are thereby verified as done by travelers..., you can see which ones they are as they are all written in the same way in good and correct english and always refer to individual staff members and tons of praise of the place..., the place is quite OK and the rooms at the reserve section are large and nice but don't expect mainland standard, it is all island style and quality, if they didn't over advertise one would be a little less annoyed...but still a good place, one of the better in the area and great beach, OK food, some bars OK premium products, staff alright and will be good in time...maybe next generation when they have more experience and more experience of international standards, in some of the "premium" restaurants they have a few people that have real experience/knowledge etc

Eddie our concierge was a great asset during our stay. He gave me his cell number and what I needed, all I had to do was text and it magically was done.

Best experience with the staff there, always helpful and goes out of their way to make your stay memoriable

The resort is very well laid out and maintained. The room was very spacious (had a master suite) and very clean. We were there for a week and never felt the need to leave -- there was plenty to do onsite. The beach is nice and clean. The three pools are great. The restaurants are nice too. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.
