The staff was phenomenal!! The bar tenders (Jose, Enmanuel, Ranfi, Pedro, Miguel, Geomary) are extremely knowledgeable at making drinks, humble, fun, and are truly the heartbeat of the resort. The food at the buffet was delicious and the variety changed daily. Thanks to Pedro and Gabriel for always being so attentive and professional. The Hunter and Tandori restaurants are a must. Food is awesome and the staff (Josefa) gave great advice on selections. The pool bar was lots of fun and drinks kept flowing thanks to Torres and Sergio. The gym staff were helpful and courteous. Activity/tour coordinator Jon was a mountain of information and helped us with 5 activities that made the Punta Cana experience memorable. Definitely recommend this resort.

The convenience of having everything close was exciting as to the pool the beach the food facilities. The concierge service with Jean and Cesar are first class as well as the in room cleanliness but the bathrooms around the pool area would need to be cleaned more often. The entertainment and the bar service was excellent. The thing I did not like was when they tried to push that time sharing or whatever you call it.when you get in the office everyone is nice they shake your hand and are being very friendly but after several attempts to sell you and you don’t buy it they get up and leave without even shaking your hand it was very disrespectful and the worst part is I was actually considering to buy it. All that said yes I would come back to Royalton but there is no way I would go to one of those time share meeting again.

Omar is the best butler. If it weren’t him our stay wouldn’t have been nearly as enjoyable. The food quality was not what is was on our last visit in 2019. We will not return due to the food quality.

I loved my swim up JR suite , that was probably the best part of my stay. Not much activity going on at this resort so if your just trying to relax i would recommend. The food was mediocre, all the staff was pleasant. Everyone was very nice and welcoming very safe resort.

In my opinion it’s better to pay a little more and stay at another resort. The place is clean and has some nice amenities, but the overall dining experience was not up to par. We also experienced a situation where the air conditioning seemed to not be working when we got into our room. I thought maybe because of the settings it was left on before we arrived so I waited to see what the room was like after we returned from the pool in the early evening before dinner. There was still a problem. I tried to call for help, but the phone didn’t work. So I put in a request on the app and went to the front desk. I notified them. They called maintenance. Maintenance never arrived before we had to leave for dinner so I went back to the desk and told them it was ok for them to go in and see what the problem was while we were out. After returning from our night out it was still not cool. I had to go back the front desk again and request maintenance. They finally showed up, nothing could be done and we were forced to switch rooms at 3am in the morning. They didn’t even offer and do anything to compensate us for this inconvenience. Like I said, go to another resort.

I reported that my AC isn’t working and no one ever called and looked at my AC although I was told about 4 times that someone will come by my room to look into the matter. No ONE EVER DID. I spoke with several agents via phone and in person in the diamond club lobby and to no avail. So I was left to sleep in heat, sweating which made my one night stay completely terrible. I tried to speak to the manager but had to leave before they could make it to me as my taxi was waiting. Prior to that, every time I asked for a manager, I was told they were in a meeting. While the resort is beautiful, this matter made my stay very miserable and uncomfortable as you can imagine. Also, I called for a bellboy and they kept repeating “I don’t know” until the eventually hung up on me. (I guess he couldnt speak English) I hope the review reaches the management as I am back home now.

We were disappointed with the property, as it didn’t match the advertised description. After only one night, we decided to leave, even though we had booked for five nights. Given that the property was likely to be rented out quickly during high season, we reached out through Expedia multiple times in hopes of receiving a partial refund for the unused nights. Unfortunately, we received no communication or any form of compensation. It’s a shame that, in the pursuit of better ratings, customer care seems to be overlooked.
