My girlfriend and I arrived at CHIC first day issue our shower head came off.. told the guy by the desk close to the room he said not to worry and that it will get fixed.. he proceeded to ask if we needed "420" we joked it off and went to the pool, I forgot something and went back to the room and the door was wide open with nobody inside or in sight I should of been more cautious after seeing how careless they were. MAIN ISSUE: our second to last day we went on a 4 hour excursion got back to the resort around 1pm went to the pool for a few after we got back to the room we notice that my luggage was not how I had left it, almost half way open. I freaked out and started looking for a pair of shorts which I had left a substantial amount of money in (stupid of me) around $900 dollars. And the money nor the shorts we're to be found. Called security and they informed us that they will get back to us within 24-72 hours which never happened. Which makes me think that who ever ripped me off is still working there and doing the same to other visitors. Note to self: Lock your luggage at all times and don't let anybody in your room as long as your not there. Didn't use the safe because had trouble with it the first day after maintenance man came and "fixed" it he reopened it with a different code other then the 1234 he programmed. Didn't feel safe after that and didn't leave the room until checkout for the rest of the trip. NOT SAFE AND LITTLE TO NO CAMERAS

The hotel staff was extremely friendly & helpful. When you arrive, there is a fruit plate and bottle of champagne waiting in your room. There were plenty of activities to do at the resort if you did not want to leave for any outside trips. There is an ATM and cashier to provide you with US currency. The drinks were very good and every day there was a theme drink.

We had a good experience 90% of the time. We both felt that early in our stay they were very attentive and helpful. To the end of the stay they stopped caring so much. The food was amazing and we loved all the dinners with the exception of the sushi. The buffet was also very good and staff very nice. Our buggiest problem came on the beach. We were in the Diamond club area and on the first day asked if we could reserve a spot and we're told it was first come first serve. I got up early everyday to get the spot my wife wanted. On the second to last day I did the same and left for about 20 minutes and when I came back they had moved my stuff and told me that that spot was reserved for the day. I was very unhappy but being as we were leaving soon they did nothing to help me. I also do not recommend gambling in their casino. They do not follow the rules of a normal casino. I sat down and was playing black jack, after a few hands I was asked to move over so someone else could set in my seat. It was very frustrating and confusing. The hotel room itself was nice but in some disrepair. Our phone never worked while we were there even though they can to fix it three times. We had to do everything through our tv and that was somewhat frustrating. Over all we enjoyed ourselves. Just disappointed in the end of our stay. We stayed 7 nights.

We had the most amazing time. Hotel staff was great. Food was ok but steak house was nice ! Entertainment staff went above and beyond .

The hotel itself was nice .. but the staff needs to do a better job about working together . No customer should have to sit there and watch them argue about work . My boyfriend and I witnessed this on a daily basis, we stayed there for 6 days and 5 nights. Also , when it came to drinks by the pool it took forever to get one . Again , the employees would not come to you even if they were not busy.

Let's start with the pros first . As far as the entertainment in this resort, it is on point! The entertainment staff really goes out of their way to make sure everyone is having a good time. Shout out to Luis!!! Another pro in that hotel is the decor!!! Chic is absolutely appropriate for this hotel. Every piece of art screams elegance . Moving on to the staff at the different restaurants; huge shout out to Robert at the Italian restaurant called Vespa. Robert epitomizes what excellent customer service is all about; he was very attentive, informative, such a bubbly personality! Loves his job and every customer he encounters. Now the quality of the food , for the most part was pretty good. The food at the munchies were Da Bomb!!! The nachos and chicken wings were amazing . My two favorite restaurants were Vespa and Hunter Steak House. Now the pools! All of them were great! No complaint there. Unfortunately there were negative things in that hotel. The beach was not that great. Lots of seaweed!!! And rocks throughout the entire beach. I mean huge rocks that I can seriously hurt somebody. Big deal breaker for me because I love swimming in the ocean. They need major maintenance on that beach. The Spa was a big waste of my money , reason being was because the masseuse did not do a professional job. She did not hit the pressure points . All she did was smear oil in me . That was it! Oh last thing , if u really want to enjoy ur room get the suite or upgrade to the diamond club.

My only complaint is that you will not find a good margarita here.

Went with 2 other couples and def ate and drank our way through the week! A really great time with top notch service from the diamond club as well as the entire staff!

ME AND MY WIFE STAYED AT CHIC FOR 5 DAY RECENTLY, FOR A HOTEL THAT TRIES TO ACHIEVE A 5 STAR RATING ON MANY BOOKING SITES THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO A 2 STARS IN MY BOOK. ON THE APRIL 29 WE CHECKED INTO THE DIAMOND CLUB WE WERE GIVEN A ROOM THAT WAS HUMID AND DIRTY, THEN IT STARTED TO RAIN AND THE WATER WAS CUT OFF FROM OUR OTHER ROOM, THE FOLLOWING MORNING NOBODY CALLED US TELLING US THAT OUR ROOM HAD NO POWER AND THAT THEY WERE GOING TO SEND SOMEONE TO CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM, I HAD TO LOOK PERSONALLY AROUND THE ROOM FOR THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND ACTIVATE THEM SOMETHING I THINK I SHOULD NOT DO ON MY VACATION. AT WHAT THE HOTEL FAILED WAS TO PROVIDE BASIC SERVICES (ENERGY, WATER, SAFETY) OR A CONTINGENCY PLAN IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER FOR THE PEOPLE THAT WERE ON THE PROPERTY. I DO NOT BLAME THE WEATHER FOR MY INCONVENIENCE, I BLAME THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE HOTEL WHO DID NOT CARE OR GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO SEE IF THE GUEST WERE OK OR TAKEN CARE OF LIKE A FIVE STAR HOTEL WOULD HAVE DONE IN THE EVENT THAT THINGS GO WRONG ON THE PROPERTY. CHIC IS A MODERN RESORT I'M JUST AMAZED THAT THEY DID NOT BUILT THIS HOTEL A LITTLE BETTER, ALSO IF A LITTLE RAIN CAN DO THIS TO THIS PROPERTY AND SHUT IT DOWN THEN IMAGINE SOMETHING ELSE MORE POWERFUL. WOULD TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO TAKE THERE BUSINESS ELSE WHERE TO OTHER RESORT'S IN THE AREA.

No running water, no electricity for a day and multiple rainy days caused the resort to flood, pool was destroyed and we have to leave in the middle of our vacation to another resort. They were not ready to handle these issues. Many customers were upset and left. They need to close, fix all the issues and reopen later.

At first glance I wasn't too sure about this resort. I tried to convince boyfriend to consider other hotels. I had been to the Dominican before but the previous resort was massive. I thought that I would like a huge resort but I did not enjoy the experience. Everything was too spread out and too far away. My boyfriend had stayed at this resort before and he insisted on going back. After spending nine days there I GET IT. The resort is the perfect size and the staff are INCREDIBLE. Quite a few people recognized my boyfriend from a previous visit and were so excited to see him. The staff at this resort really make you feel like family. Another great thing about this resort is the entertainment and the staff that facilitate these activities (especially Silvia). There is always something going on at the resort. During the day they are getting people involved in Zumba, beach volley ball or having a pool party. I'm not much of a drinker but some of the bartenders and waitresses make the best drinks. Aurelina made me her special blue drink everyday. Delicious! Even on the rainy day we had there they brought out a mechanical bull and had dance lessons. Every night has a different theme. There is literally something for everyone there. I can not remember a single person from my previous trip to the Dominican but some of my best memories are with the staff from Chic. It's only been a few months but I am already planning my next trip to Chic. I cant wait to go back!

Most staff was excellent. Room was just ok. One couple we were traveling with did not have a door on the bathroom. Every time you took a shower it would flood the room. Entertainment was very seldom what they advertised. There are many better places as far as luxury goes. Nice place to just lay by beach and pool.

The staff is extremely rude and barely speaks English. They are extremely unaccomdating. The sheets feel like sand paper and smell very stale. I would never recommend a friend to stay there. It's not worth it!!!

Seems like a couple's resort.. very small resort. Needs more food options. More water activities within the morning. I'm a morning person.. so pool activities would be a plus

We loved our stay at Chic. Everything about the hotel was nice. If we have any complaint at all it is that there were some stains on our furniture in the room, it was a little gross. The food was good not great but it was just fine. We loved the amenities and the spa was soooo nice. We would stay there again.

Awesome experience! The food could have been better, but the decorum and atmostphere was great.

Hotel staff was not educated in English and this made our stay very difficult in getting them to communicate. I will not return to this hotel because of false advertising-they said they had a casino but only had two blackjack tables. We had to go to another hotel for that entertainment. Over all the staff was nice but they had peddlers all over and constantly bothering you trying to sell overpriced jewelry and junk. We were misled on our side trips and that is badddddd business.

This was my third visit and as usual everything was Excelente ...... Diamond club is the way to go the staff is the best !!

CHIC was great! Service was great, food was great, beach and pool were great. The activities staff works really really hard to make sure people are up and active. We had a foam pool party, a water balloon fight, racing up and down inflatable bouncy slide and a mechanical bull. Something different every afternoon. And at night they throw theme parties. Mainly Canadians were here which was great because they were so nice! It was also a good mix of ages, but everyone was there to have fun. Staff was always there to get you a drink quickly. Spa was very, very nice and a large gym as well. The first night there we thought the sushi restaurant was so good, that we ran over to the steakhouse for baby filets as well. I would recommend booking any excursions before hand, the on site travel co had several mixups with our groups, some of them were totally out of their control though.

be aware of theft in your room

The hotel itself was nice .. but the staff needs to do a better job about working together . No customer should have to sit there and watch them argue about work . Dear mr. YUNIO; We lament your experience was not as expected, due to the weather conditions in DR Most of the provinces has been affected with rain, flooding and damages, to lots of properties. Our team worked efficiently to restore all areas and service within the resort, even while in the middle of the bad weather. Climate in the Caribbean areas is very random and changing and unfortunately these conditions are out of our hands. We regret the inconveniences with the water system, due to weather it was out of service for no more than 12 hours and at the moment the issue has been solved. Our maintenance department worked really hard to solve this inconvenience in the shortest time possible. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We did our best to get our pool areas ready and in full use for all guests. Our public areas team and staff available worked from early hours to regularize the services and areas of customer service. Our Apologies for the bad feelings. We are sincerely looking forward to the pleasure of welcoming you again in our CHIC Punta Cana, and assure you that you will enjoy even superior services and facilities on your next visit.
