We had a very nice family vacation at the Presidential Suites. The u it’s are really big and comfortable. Two very large bedrooms. A huge living room kitchen combination Three full bathrooms and a HUGE patio/terrace. Ours faced the pool Which was great with kids. Lifestyle offers a lot of choices in restaurants, bars and activities. The pools and restaurants were all good. The kids club was great. If going to lifestyles I’d recommend the Presidential suites

We have excellent stay and very comfortable stay. Staff was very helpful and co operative. We would like to hi back again . Food was good but need more variety in Buffett. Overall we had great time staying at LHVC resort.

The service at the front desk was not the best. I found a lot of contradiction from employee to employee. If you don't look American you the service is a mediocre one. I'be asked for salt to a waiting an never got it luckily I was given some silver wear to eat my food. I was a paying customer like everybody else and everybody should havebeen treated with decency. Customer service at the front the need improvement. I was very disappointed. .

We booked and paid before to come on Saturday for 1 night party of 3 adults. We arrived at 2:30 and they took almost 1 hour to find our reservation. Then, they said we were upgraded by the system and moved us to Presidential. We went there and wait almost 1 hour to have the room... Finally we went to the room and the room was only one bed and a child auxiliary small bed... We refused to be there. They changed us again 45 min lost... Finally we went at the beach at 5:30 pm... At 6:00 beach are closing... So back to the room. The air conditioning quality was very bad. The food at Casablanca was very crowded and quality was not so good. The toilet was damaged so go to the bathroom was also another nightmare. Day after we took breakfast at 9 am everything was very busy. Finally at the beach at 10:30 but at 12 we had to come back for checking out. So, we couldn't enjoy the journey neither the beach. I don't recommend this beautiful infrastructure unless they change the way they manage this hotel.

The resort itself, huge and beautiful..... but two thumbs down only because we bought into it, were promised everything from the moon to the sun, and once we arrive nothing promised was included in our package. We stayed at the presidential suites, room wasn’t ready until after 3pm. Was dirty. No help from front desk at all. 2 days later after 100 complaints our suite was changed. Hotel staff ( aside from concierge) were great! And friendly ... Lots of restaurants... Cool to vaca, not cool to buy into .... many promises to get you to purchase, nothing included once a member ...

This is a beautiful resort and we have been there in the past. We encountered several problems on this last trip that could have been resolved, but the staff totally refused to help. 1. I booked and paid for (2) Presidential 2-bedroom units. My other guests were traveling in from Asia as we both work overseas. Upon check-in I notified the front desk that my other guest will arrive 2 days late. Since I already paid in full for the room, I asked if i could check them in and get the key, thinking this would get us a closer room. The staff refused. 2. When my work associate was leaving Asia and had a firm arrival time to Puerto Plata, I realized it would be after midnight so asked the front desk for a key since they would be closed. This time they refused again, and also told me my guest cannot check in since they gave away the room. Upon a further conversation, they told me that if my guest did not check in within 24 hours they will give away the room. (EVEN AFTER I INFORMED THEM THAT MY GUEST WOULD ARRIVE IN 2 DAYS). I do not see how this is legal as the room AND the all inclusive fee was paid. No one would help and they claimed they had zero availability anywhere in the resort, even for a smaller unit. See additional information of the resort detail page Such fraudulent actions are actually fraud and theft of services, as well as regulated and would result in a law suit in the USA, but in their country, I guess they do not care.

A relaxing week of vacation, fun and relaxation. Taxi to the Resort, possible transportation by the resort if arranged two weeks in advance, bags held by bell captain, smooth checkin, cool rum drink provided, escorted to and shown room. Very clean, well decorated and comfortable room with a view. Resort additions under construction. Given dinner reservations, Cabarete sights and tours, meal plans for the week. Had dinner, relaxed Saturday evening. Breakfast, mimosa, near the pool. Walked the beach with a friend, had a beer, strolled back to the resort (50 minute walk) on the road past numerous small business shops adjacent to the beach. Called another friend Sunday, retired police officer to plan a trip to Santo Domingo, Santiago the next 3 days. Visited Sasou and Santiago. Thursday, took a day tour over to Lifestyles in Puerto Plata, ate a 6 inch cheeseburger, a few beers, walked the beach, a few more beers and back to Cabarete. Ate, drank and was merry for Friday. Checkin and checkout with Juliette was just wonderful. Marivel and Indiana, VIP customer service representatives, cute (but married!) and very informative throughout my stay arranged taxi service back to the airport. A quiet and enjoyable vacation. So let me start by saying this was my first experience at an all inclusive resort, so I didn’t know what to expect. I was traveling with a group and were told we had private transportation booked from the airport to the hotel. Well we arrive and there’s this guy who is walking around in a frenzy with a list that he just keeps looking over and checking off the same people multiple times. We see a beautiful hummer with the hotel name on it as well as a Tahoe...not bad. No, no. Not for us. A bus pulls up that is reminiscent of an elementary school bus without all the fancy stuff(yes, a school bus has fancy stuff- if you don’t think so, ride this shuttle). This was after waiting an hour for it to arrive. The ride to the hotel was another 40min. I’m in my early 40’s, a professional. My days of funneling beers and body shots are behind me. I was taken back there, however right when I got to the front desk of the hotel when they told me I would need to wear a bracelet during my hotel stay- the kind you get at a concert. Apparently each bracelet color means what areas of the property you can access, restaurants you can dine in, etc. luckily I had gold but I saw some sorry souls wandering around in blue... The room was very very nice- spacious, comfortable beds. The bathrobes and slippers were beyond comfortable. There was some food in the kitchenette, but unlike American hotels the food they stock your room with at the beginning of your stay is it for the length of the stay. Once your fruit and cheese is gone, that’s it—my advice: ration and portion control. I see why people’s skin is so dark after visiting the DR. Sun tan lotion is $25US per bottle. Even in a drug store in town. No matter what the spf. Pack up lots of 4oz bottles!!! The beaches were very pretty. The sunrise there, very peaceful. One of the beaches even had its own Walmart! You won’t find the same kinds of deals you’d expect but there’s pretty cool stuff in there. Guys don’t forget your pants. Going on vacation in the Caribbean in July I packed only shorts. Big mistake as every restaurant in the resort requires men wear pants (even though this is nowhere on their website). They have you change into a pair they give you at the front desk. Kinda embarrassing. The spa is quite nice- peaceful, which in my opinion is really needed as children run around all the pool areas (even the adult one). Sometimes you just need some peace. On site casino seems like the cards are stacked for the house. Either that or they just had an unusually lucky 3 nights. It’s difficult to find food outside of scheduled hours other than a really minimal “buffet” in the afternoon. I use the term loosely. Lots of flies everywhere. Not many options. Loud construction right next to your table. Those were my high points. Adios!

The resort only had one pool which was just average. To access the beach, you had walk to another resort a short distance away. Th restaurant open for breakfast and lunch was OK, but we always took a 10 minute walk to the Tropical resort, which had a much nicer eating facility with more food choices. The resort was nice and relaxing, but we spent the majority of our time at the Tropical. Our rooms were exceptionally nice!

The employees need to be more proficient in the english language. Also, the property is so large that it take 20-25 minutes for a shuttle to move you around the property. Very inconvenient. Young lady at the front desk messed up my reservations. I had to relocate to another hotel for my last night in Puerto plata. Not a pleasant experience.
