Sonoran Sky 706 A Wave From It All Cozy Oceanfront Condo

Welcome to suite 706, a light, airy one-bedroom, one-bathroom suite on the 7th floor of the Sonoran Sky Resort. This suite can accommodate four (2 adults) easily. This is a very bright and open suite with white walls, a white ceiling, and dark trim molding. There are ceiling fans in the living room and in the bedroom. All the comforts of home can be found here plus a bunch more. The Sonoran offers 3 beautiful pools, a swim-up bar, several outdoor Jacuzzis, a water slide, state of an art fitness center, and a spa on the second floor with beautiful views. You can enjoy this beautifully furnished suite, the resort amenities, the Sea of Cortez, Sandy Beach, and the most incredible sunsets anywhere.

The living room has a dark brown leather sofa bed, a 3 cushion sofa, and a matching loveseat. The sofa opens into a queen size sleeper. There is a beautiful coffee table and matching end table. Under the coffee table is a beautiful area rug that picks up the green from the sofa and the complimenting throw pillows. Across from the sofa is a large entertainment center with a flat-screen TV, DVD, wireless internet, stereo, CD player and cable TV. In the dining area is a round table that seats four.

The kitchen is complete with everything you could possibly need including, toaster, coffee maker, blender, and mixer. The appliances are all stainless steel and the stovetop is a flat corning surface. The countertops and backsplash are granite. There are ample prep space and storage, including a pantry and a breakfast bar. The master bedroom has a king-size bed set with matching night tables and dresser with a large mirror. On top of the dresser is a flat-screen TV and there is a ceiling fan above the bed. There is a window that offers the same incredible views as from the terrace. The bedding is a floral duvet with palm trees. The bathroom has a single sink vanity and a wonderful rain shower.

The terrace has an amazing view of the Sea of Cortez and you can enjoy the views and the warm salty air while lounging on one of the two chaise lounge chairs. NOTE: The balcony BBQ does not work, there is a designated area on the 3rd floor for the use of charcoal grills and a playground for small children. (Charcoal is not included, for sale at convenience store).
The condo is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

Weekend Stay

The condo was right off the elevator which was really nice and easy access. The condo itself needs to have a few updates like a new mattress and the front door has a draft which made the condo cooler then normal. The screen door to the patio was easy to close but would stick when trying to open. But overall the condo was okay. The Front Desk associate Victor was so helpful and friendly I give him a 5 star rating. :)

Sonoran Sky Summer Stay

We have been going to Sonoran Sky for 11 years. It has always been great, but this year I noticed it needs some improvement. There was water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom, but they fixed it within several hours. The chairs are only available since 9 AM....and that was frustrating if you wanted to lay down or put the towel for when you come from the beach. Otherwise....as always, the sea, the sun, and the sand are awesome!

We enjoyed the Infiniti pool. The only issue we had with the place is the water services get completely shut down from 10 pm - 6 am during the week due to the shortage of water supply. We did not know until we called the front desk and the receptionist told us the notices were posted at the elevators

The pase is tired. It needs upgrades. The towels are hard, the cushions on the outdoor furniture are so wore out we folded the couch cousions onto the chair cousions to get some comfort. Tvs hade only Amazon channel. Will find something different next time for the price we paid.

Nice pool with swim up bar. Great hot tubs and silky sandy beaches. Our room 706 was old but clean. Living room TV had common app availability, but could only get local stations in the bedroom. Toaster needs to be replaced. Cabinets need pulls they are hard to open. Has a Keurig, which has adapter for your own ground coffee or K cups, which was a bonus. They offered filtered 3 gallon water/dispenser. Everyone was very friendly. No hot water, until I found the electrical switch next to the HW heater. 🤔🤗 Lights are way too dim. They need brighter lighting. Not enough hand towels, wash rags, or dish towels. Bring your own beach towels. Played golf at The Links, nice course! Over all … a nice stay. ❤️

This unit is showing wear and tear

We have stayed at the Sonoran Sky several times and this unit was quite disappointing. The bathroom and kitchen need a deep cleaning, the dishwasher won't close, the toaster only worked on one side, the shower drained very slowly, the toilet ran constantly unless we manually adjusted it, the seal is broken on the sliding glass door so it whistled all the time we were there, there are no kitchen towels, and the unit is "tired". I would not recommend or stay in Unit 706 again....until the owners get it cleaned and give it a facelift.
