95% of the staff is amazing! Even though we requested rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors 2 months in advance, the first 2 nights we got rooms on the first floor which we were not happy, the second night we got switched to the 3rd floor and the room was a disaster, light fixtures were falling, drawers didn’t close all the way, every hour or so it sounded like someone was trying to get in the room, then on day 3 we got switched again to another room on the second floor, and this one was finally good! This is our 5th year returning to this resort, and if it wasn’t for the staff I wouldn’t consider to come back!

The overall experience was satisfactory. This particular dream resort is ideal for families and individuals seeking a blend of entertainment and relaxation during their vacation. The staff provided exceptional service, and the cuisine was delectable. However, it is worth noting that all restaurants close at 11:00 PM.

we had an ocean view Club room and it was very nice, HUGE shower. But the AC reset to 20C (68F) all the time so we had to turn it on and off to keep from freezing. Food was good, not spectacular. Buffet good option. Rooftop bar/grill on our building FABULOUS for lunch. Dinner difficult as they don't take reservations and if you don't get your name in by 5:45PM you will have a 2+ hour wait at specialty restaurants. In the lobby was a taco cart making fresh tacos every night and was a go to. Drinks good, typical fare. but we had a superman and there are great. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Main pool was very nice and large. We mainly stayed at the adults Club pool which was quieter and much less windy as the ocean wind was howling the whole time we were there. Activities just okay. 4 of the things we wanted to do never materialized and we were left wondering what was going on. We had to leave a day early due to family emergency and got no one to help with a nights refund. Expedia sent us tot hem and they sent us to Expedia. VERY FRUSTRATING... Overall a good place to stay.

I love this resort. The staff is wonderful. It’s clean. The food is excellent. The only negative aspect was the cost of renting a cabana around the pool or beach was excessive. Otherwise I would return in the future.

Dreams Sapphire Resort is an overall wonderful resort and was a great choice for our family. We have stayed at multiple resorts over 20+ years in Cancun and Riviera Maya. The food and restaurant selection is excellent—highly recommend the rooftop sushi bar for lunch (you can get more than sushi; they have a lot of great food options) —and we loved both the smoothie bar and coffee shop on site. Breakfast at the buffet is very good and offers plenty of high quality options. We did not travel with small children (we have a 16+ teenager) and we stayed in a Club & Villas oceanfront room, which was a standout experience for us; the access to the rooftop pool and rooftop restaurant is absolutely worth it. The rooftop infinity pool has amazing ocean views, plenty of space, and feels quiet, private, and relaxing—an ideal escape within the resort. The ocean/ beach area was also nice!

The rooms we had felt a bit outdated. The wait for dinner was completely unacceptable; we waited nearly 2 hours one night. Making a reservation isn't an option. The property looked nice. The pool was great, but I don't know what it would have been like during peak days. The spa was excellent.

The food was pretty decent for resort food. Outside of that, it would have been five stars. The grounds, the beach, the staff, and the entertainment were all amazing. We went with a large group with all ages, and everyone had a blast.
