Rustic and comfortable, equipped with all you need to immerse yourself into the wildlife of the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park. Our Rustic Cabins have an ensuite bathroom with separate shower and are designed in an open air concept. They have a private balcony overlooking the Hacienda. Ideal for adventure travelers searching to connect with nature, observe wildlife and learn about the rural Costa Rican culture.
Hacienda Rio Oro is set on the national route 245, 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) before Carate Beach. Our next door neighbors are approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) away, both ways. You will be surrounded by pastures and natural landscapes. On the highest area of the Hacienda, there is primary forest where you can hike or go by horse to enjoy a panoramic view of the coast. On the lowest area, you will find the Pejeperro Mangroove and Lagoon, home to more than 40 species of aquatic birds. Kayak in the mangroove and cross over to Pejeperro Beach for a breathtaking sunset and the magnificent Pacific Ocean.
