This is a $40 a night property. It is beyond expectations, clean, private bathroom, daily room service, WiFi,refrigerator in the room. You can get water and fill your empty bottles from the owner. Be aware this is not a hostel but a small hotel. I see reviews of people complaining about these sort of places. They think they should get the ritz Carlton. It is also just 2 blocks away from the central square where the taxi let me off from the airport

Nd good value

Great location, very clean, wifi and hot water were adequate. Raphael, was always very gracious and took us on a tour one day. He was a good host. Access to drinkable water was restricted to the locked office area and was empty on 2 of the 7 days. Very noisy at 6 am when local traffic starts up. 2 nights loud local parties went until 1:15 and 2:30 in the morning. If noise does not bother you during the night, this is a great value.

Ok but few issues

PRO: Clean room and comfy bed in a great location. CON: no hot water in the morning (others complained too), Breakfast services is only 7-8am, WiFi didn't work (not major issue as every cafe/bar/restaurant with 2mins walk has it). Overall, okay for short stay.

Hotel Germania is great.

The Hotel was great. Great Service, Hospitality, and Local Information from the friendly Manager. Positives Hot Water Cleanliness Close to Center Air Conditioning Hospitality Friendly Helpful Easy-going Staff Proactive Accommodating Galapagos is a Paradise Great Value for Price Negatives Galapagos has non existent WiFi yet locals are able to view and play videos on their phones. Electrical Outlets are usually not located for convenience in most places. Night stands next to beds are often not considered. This goes for most places. I would stay definitely here again, but I would definitely bring my own extension cable and power strip on all my future trips regardless of what country I decide to visit.

Would Stay Again.

Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Bedding was wonderful and the beds really comfortable. Shower clean and tidy with good pressure and hot water. WiFi was however slow. We have made a further reservation at this hotel after doing some island hopping in the Galapagos. Good value and close to all amenities and the pier from which all boats leave for the various islands. Good restaurants within 5 minute walk.

great place!

This place was our favorite on our 17 day “road trip” through Ecuador. Room #1 had a large room, lots of places to put clothes and things, huge bathroom with big shower (and hot water!) air conditioning, king bed and a shared balcony. We did a tour of the turtle farm with the owner, Raphael, and he also took us to the airport on our day of departure. It was a perfect spot for us.

Good location, easy walk to shops and sights to see. Breakfast was available and was ok. The bed was very firm but otherwise the room was spacious and very clean. The staff were very helpful with suggestions of sights to see and pkac s to go and also helped make our arrangements to go to Isla Isabella

Great value, awesome location!

No complaints here! Great value place with wifi, fridge, king sized bed, hot water, air conditioning and awesome location! Right across the street is a lagoon with a boadrwalk through the mangroves. About 10 minutes up the road is the entrance to the start of the path to tortuga bay.

Good hotel. Large room. Working air conditioning and wifi in room. Free bottled water. Owner was helpful and friendly and spoke English. Not available at all hours so plan accordingly. Close to the trail to Tortuga Bay.

Nice people, but tio much noice

Nice people at this hostal, that absolutely tries to do their best. We had a room in first floor and was annoied by noice from some machines in the night. Drinking water was available but only when the staff was there . It would be nice if there were a place where we could sit outside our room .

Very clean room and friendly staff

Surprisingly well cleaned room, friendly staff, good value for money. Good location. Couldn't pay with credit card, and slow, but free wi-fi. Room balcony was shared, not private.

Vi hyrde rummet då vi bodde på Galapagos. Inte jättehög standard, men det var kanonbilligt, rent och väldigt nära hamnen och stan. Bra då många dagsutflykter var 07:00 och det tog oss fem minuter att gå ner till hamnen.
