Great view, great location, perfect for a family of 4

We enjoyed our stay.Loved being able to walk down to the beach and if we did not want to walk all the way back, you could call for a ride. The pool was fun. The coffee shop had some essentials. The restaurant was just starting to re-open with pizzas and some apps … the pizza was delicious. Restaurant and bar does not open until 3:00. We would stay here again!

Short objective review

Pros:Beautiful view. Nice location. Limited places to eat in Princeville so nice to be able to eat at the property though the restaurant is not open for breakfast. The beach near the hotel was nice, sheltered and private. They have golf carts and shuttle you to and from the beach. That was nice bc it's a bit of a hike back from there.Cons:Check in process is terrible. They won't give you the check in details until the condo is available. Check in is at 3pm. I requested the check in details early which they would not send me. No notification at 3. Luckily i was able to check in at the front desk after some discussion. When i arrived at the condo, it was ready so don't know why i was not notified. I did check my email later and they did send me the check notification at 5:57pm. They should change their check in process. Pool looks nice but was filthy. Gross visible sediment circulating around in the water. Did lay out at the pool but never went in that water. Check out seems early, 10AM. Don't know if this is a new standard? Check out at my hotel was noon.

Favorite Unit at Hanalei Bay Resort

We’ve stayed at a few units at Hanalei Bay Resort! This was by far our favorite and we can’t wait to book again! Amazing view, plenty of space for family of 4 and beds were so comfy.

Beautiful, comfortable unit with amazing view

This condo was so pretty! We really loved our stay in this quiet community. We felt we were in the best building! Amazing views, close to parking, close to the pool. Definitely want to return.

Great location. Stunning views

Great experience. The location was fabulous. We took walks on the beach, swam in the pool and ocean and just relaxed on the balcony. The town is close by and we enjoyed the farmers markets and several restaurants. The unit was very well equipped, beds were comfortable and bathrooms luxurious. It was a wonderful vacation.

Stunning view from spacious apartment

We were attending a wedding in the area so didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment but could have happily stayed longer. The apartment was spacious and well suited for our group of 3 adults. The resort had a lovely pool area and a couple of restaurants to supplement the kitchen if you didn't want to cook. We had a car and parking was at a premium.

Wonderful condo with a world class view

Second time at HBR, first time in this unit, which was fantastic. Epic views, had a nice selection of ‘extras’ available to use, like tennis rackets, beach chairs, and snorkel gear! 100% recommmended.

Our stay was amazing. We were not in the room much. Very clean, view was breathtaking. Our check in was rough. On the email it said three we got there at 2:45 and were told we couldn't check in til 4. After flying from Santa Fe, NM I felt this was very inconvenient. We also were not treated by the front desk very kindly. I did not realize we were technically part of the resort. The check out time was also way to early and I was forced to spend an additional 500$ to secure a space within the resort for us to shower and unwind after a day at the beach. The only thing that occurred with the room was the handle fell off the shower for the water. Everything was supplied for our stay and I was so impressed with amenities and that the condos felt more like a home. I would definitely stay again! Thank you for a much needed vacation.

Perfect Family Vacation

Our family of four (kids 7 and 5) had a wonderful stay in this condo! The accommodations were just what we were looking for (2 sleeping areas), and the view over Hanalei Bay is spectacular! We loved walking to the beach, and the condo was well stocked with beach gear. And our kids also loved the pool at the condo. Overall wonderful place to stay!

Perfect stay in paradise

We loved our time here! This was a perfect place for our family of 4. Easy walking distance to the best beach in Kauai! And the view is stunning. We loved watching the sun on the hills in the morning and the magical sunsets every night. We had everything we needed here – beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, mats, etc. We cooked breakfasts here and ate lunches at local carts. We usually got takeout from the restaurants in Princeville for dinner. Recommend Hot Mamas, Nourish, and the gas station food - seriously! We will definitely be returning to this place!

Don’t swim after a rain

Arrived Saturday night, swam at Anini on Sunday and Monday , caught Vibrio due to rainwater running off mountains ( no warning signs) was hospitalized from Wednesday to Monday trying to save two toes. So not much opportunity to enjoy Princeville

Excellent location

Our family of four had an amazing stay at the condo at Hanalei Bay resort. The unit was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Shopping at the nearby Foodland made it even better for the meals we cooked at the unit. We would definitely stay here again.
