La Casa di Nonno Mario es un refugio encantador y tranquilo, perfecto para aquellos que buscan una escapada romántica o unas vacaciones con amigos, inmersos en la belleza natural de Praiano. Situada en el lado oeste del pueblo, la casa ofrece impresionantes vistas de Positano y la isla de Capri, con una terraza panorámica donde se pueden disfrutar de hermosos atardeceres sobre el mar. Recientemente renovada, la casa cuenta con interiores frescos y luminosos, decorados con buen gusto, y dispone de un amplio jardín con zona de barbacoa para comer al aire libre.



Para llegar a la casa, es necesario subir unos 60 escalones, parte del característico camino peatonal que pasa junto a la pintoresca iglesia de San Gennaro. Para quienes tengan dificultades de movilidad o lleven mucho equipaje, esto puede suponer un desafío, por lo que recomendamos planificar la llegada teniendo en cuenta este detalle.



La casa se distribuye en tres niveles:



Primer nivel:



• Sala de estar con sofá cama y cocina de mampostería (muy fresca, por lo que no dispone de aire acondicionado)

• Jardín delantero con mesa para 6 personas, barbacoa y vista al mar



Segundo nivel - Entresuelo:



• Dormitorio doble con balcón panorámico

• Baño con ducha

• Lavandería



Tercer nivel:



• Terraza panorámica con vistas a Capri y Positano, accesible desde ambos dormitorios

• Cocina completamente equipada (sin lavavajillas)

• 2 Dormitorios dobles (tamaño de cama 160x190) con vistas al mar y acceso a la terraza

• Baño con ducha



La Casa di Nonno Mario se encuentra en la parte oeste de Praiano, a solo unos minutos a pie de los principales servicios del pueblo. Además de restaurantes, bares y tiendas de alimentos, podrá acceder fácilmente a las paradas de autobús locales y SITA, un cajero automático y la oficina de turismo.



Estacionamiento: La casa no dispone de estacionamiento privado en el lugar, pero hay un aparcamiento de pago a unos 800 metros de distancia, que debe reservarse con antelación. Aunque esto puede ser una pequeña inconveniencia, la distancia es fácilmente accesible a pie, y el aparcamiento privado ofrece la seguridad de un espacio reservado durante toda su estancia.



Transporte público: Las conexiones con el transporte público, incluidos los autobuses locales, pueden variar según la hora del día y la temporada. En temporada alta, el servicio puede estar más lleno o ser menos puntual. Stunning Amalfi Coast Escape

We had a quick, but wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed and beautiful view. We rented a car and reserved a private parking spot about 3/4 mile away. We enjoyed the walk each day as we took in the amazing scenery. We highly recommend this property for your stay on the Amalfi coast.

We most definitely would stay at this Villa again!!

Our family had an absolutely amazing vacation in Praiano. The Villa was perfect for the 6 of us. Stunning views of the sea and of Positano. Villa is in a great location with fabulous restaurants within walking distance. All of the staff with Smaac were extremely helpful and responded quickly whenever we had questions. We most definitely would stay at this Villa again!!

We had a great stay and loved the house and the incredible view. The host was super responsive and it was easy to find! The amenities were great too. We really loved the location and it was the perfect beach vacation home! The only difficulty we had was with the bus— it was often full by the time it got to our stop and would pass us. We had to rely on taxis mostly, but they weren’t hard to get.

We will back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! I am 7 months pregnant and still found the place very accessible which is not easy on the Amalfi Coast! The views are breathtaking from the top balcony. Photos do not do it justice. We would absolutely stay here again when visiting Praiano. Francesco was very responsive and happy to help with recommendations and to arrange transportation for us.

Charming Praiano Getaway

This charming Praiano home is a lovely central location to see the Amalfi Coast! The highlight of our trip was walking from the house to Positano via the Path of the Gods!! But don’t miss the lovely family-owned restaurants and businesses right in Praiano!! Also, having Francesco as a POC for tours and drivers was amazing - like having a local relativefriend to help with everything! We sincerely appreciated his communication and resources.

Centrally located near a bus stop, grocery stores and many restaurants, La Casa is a wonderful villa which maintains the traditional charm while providing modern comforts. Francesco, as the host, is just amazing. He was very patient and navigated us as we settled down for our stay. Wonderful location!

Pros: Loved this town and location! Not overcrowded - walkable restaurants, and amazing views from this home! Very responsive management company. Cons: Home layout is odd - not totally unusual in Italy, but with family room downstairs - somewhat uninviting. Stairs may be difficult for some. The furniture is outdated. Updated and comfortable patio furniture would make this house so much nicer.

Praiano is a great location for visisting the Amalfi coast, and this house is a great location in Praiano. Wonderful deck. Beautiful views. Many, many restaurants and a couple markets are right at the top of the stairs. Note: a couple showers are tight for 6'1" man, no bending down. Split A/C units only in bedrooms. Queen, King etc beds are two beds combined, not too structural sound. And if you are choosing the location to be close to the beach, you are, but after first two days preferred to taxi to the beach at Marina di Praia than walk back up the many stairs from La Gavitella beach. In retrospect I would have discounted our proximity to La Gavitella beach heavily. Still a great choice. Check-in/ check-out were virtual, but worked well.

Will certainly come back!

We stayed at the place for 4 nights in beginning of May - and loved every moment! The apartment is very large and has three stories. It's very clean and the kitchen has all the necessary equipment to cook. There's a store nearby to do groceries (5 min walk). You have to walk some stairs, but it's better than most apartments in the area! My 65 year old parents were able to do it easily. The view is absolutely stunning, direct view to Positano and in the distance even Capri! Praiano is also perfectly located, I recommend staying here instead of PositanoAmalfi, and just take the bus (5 minutes away walking). The host was extremely helpful, checking in over the chat everyday, and sent us several recommendations. Will certainly come back!

Lovely Location

Francesco at SMAAC was incredibly helpful at any time that I needed, I couldn’t recommend SMAAC more. As for the house itself, we loved the location as the house was in a very quiet and peaceful location yet close to everything. People complain about steps and walking but if you know the Amalfi coast, you know there’s no where you can go where there won’t be steps and walking. The house was very clean and had so much space for all 5 of us. The patio was beautiful. The only thing I can say is the beds aren’t the most comfortable and our power went out a few times and the washer broke but like I said above, Francesco was very quick to help sending out a service technician the next morning. We loved our stay in Praiano!

Great Stay!

The place is pretty big! 2 rooms in one floor and the 3rd room below, and below that floor there is a kitchen and living room area. The views from the bedrooms on the main floor are beautiful! You get to see which I believe is Positano. The rooms were very clean. The place is situated about 200m from the main street. If you have luggage might be a bit of a hassle to walk with down and up the stairs..but again, the place and view is worth it! Pretty central in Praino, with restaurants and grocery stores around it and the bus stop is right by the place. Only thing we had an issue with was parking- the host said the parking is 800m and that's pretty far with the amount of luggage- it's not like you can park on the street to take the luggage out, cars and buses are going down that area at all times. Luckily, we went pretty late not so much cars. Other than that, we had a great stay!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay! Villa was exactly as described and the views were amazing. Francesco was our POC and from the moment we booked till after we left, he was in constant communication with us, checking to see that everything was ok and if we needed anything. Their app, that we downloaded had what to expect, what to do and instructions for checking in and departing which made things much easier. When I did have a question, he responded immediately. We were also very impressed that we were provided a video to finding the villa from the exact drive on the main street to the pathway to the front door. Keep in mind it's the Amalfi coast so most everything is a pathway from the main road therefore it can be tricky but that's the charm of it. I would recommend that if you drive there, you secure parking thru them. Even though the lot was a bit of a walk away from the villa, public street parking spots are few and far between. We loved it and look forward to visiting again someday!!
