When I arrived at 8:15pm I found out they close the reception at 7pm but thankfully when I pressed the intercom hotel buzzer someone was there to answer me. They asked for my name & they let me in without any problems. Gave me room 5 on the ground floor & 2 hotel cards to let myself back in & out of the hotel. There was tea and coffee making facilities laid out for me & a large wardrobe and drawers to put away all my belonging plus a small safe for my valuables (but it was a 500 kc deposit to get the key for this.) Good sized comfortable bed & a large fan to keep cool when needed. Bathroom was excellent with a quality power shower, toilet, sink & hair dryer. WiFi was free & the signal never dropped once! Breakfast was between 7am - 10am & was excellent with the choice of a sort of full English, cereals or continental breakfast to chose from plus tea, coffee or beverages to drink. When the reception was open you can purchase a 24 hour public transport ticket for use on the metro, tram & bus services. I also purchased a couple of tickets from goout.net for a comedy gig & a rooftop club event. When I purchased these online tickets the hotel receptionist kindly printed off these tickets when I sent her my pdf e-mail attachment from my laptop to the hotels e-mail address site without any fuss & personally gave me my print out tickets to my hotel room. I went to Prague for the beer festival in Letná Park. Happily the number 26 tram from Lipanská tram stop took me there to the beer festival & back to Žižkov in 15 minutes. You could also take the bus from the nearby Tachovské náměstí bus stop which the 133 & 175 services take you to Florenc metro station that will take you into the city centre or you can catch the 207 service which will take you into the centre in about 10 minutes. There are some fantastic pubs & bars nearby such as the U Sadu (great place for late night eats & beer), U Slovanské Lípy (great food & beer) Pivovar Victor (where they make their own beer) & the Tiki Taki cocktail bar that's right next door to the Bily Lev (great cocktails, helpful pleasant bar staff & they stay open until 5am!) If there was a downside, I could have done with another electrical socket instead of just the 1 output socket for all my electrical needs & the television in my room only had 1 English speaking channel (CNN) plus the reception of all the channels was somewhat poor at times. I did ask the hotel manager to see if something could be done but after he checked this out he told me the satellite receiver dish was at fault & not the television as I first thought but apart from not servicing the satellite receiver dish I did have a very pleasant 8 day stay during my time in the Bily Lev. Žižkov might not be to everyone's liking but it's a lot cheaper than staying in the centre & you do get to see the real Prague which for someone like me who loves Czech pubs & Czech beer was just manna from heaven for me.
Clean and small room, nice breakfast. In your room you will hear all noises around. Can manage temparature in your room - is helpfull. EUR/Krona exchange rate in reception isn`t the best in the town, as announced in leafleft on breacfast.
Were guests of Prague from 01 - 06 April 2017.The hotel White lion 5th room.Room service is excellent.Cooking and Breakfast excellent. Will recommend hotel to friends.Thank you to the staff Lyudmila and Lyudmila.
Very suitable for the budget traveling. Breakfast is actually quite good with the various servings. Rooms are not special but we liked the beds and the windows appeared to be very sound proof. Be noted that reception will close at 19:00, after that the door is opened for the late arrivals via the speaker system. There are nice bars, pizzerias and fast food places near by. Also tram to center in not far a way.
Great for the price!! Room very clean tea & coffees in room also a mini bar. Breakfast was brilliant loads of choices. You can't get the tram at the top of the road that takes you down to main Prague. You can get tickets at reception for them. Great pizza place at the top of the road.
This cute hotel had everything you need at great value. Warm, clean, tidy rooms that are quite large and well appointed. Nice bathrooms and tea and coffee facilities. And a handy fridge, albeit half jammed with mini bar stuff. The wifi was really good in our room (24) and the highlight for me was the breakfast. 7-10am, wide range of cereals, toast, fruit and hot items like sausages and scrambled eggs. We, of course, pigged out every day. It's not quite as close to the city centre as it seems from the advertising but the tram service is cheep and easy and regular so this wasn't an issue for us at all. Highly recommend this place, thanks for a great experience in a stunning city.
Me & my wife would like to thank the staff for the great hospitality & service. At the reception they were very helpful and at breakfast they had everything in order and clean. Recommend it to everyone. Charlie & Nadia Camilleri from MALTA
The hotel placed in Prague 3 . 3 stations from the old town it train. The hotel very clean. Good room service and reception service. Very good back fast for 3 star hotel. Hotel prepare early back fast for travels, which have early flights.
Nice hotel room. Both kettle & fridge which was very appreciated. Good security. Noisy street at night from clubbers coming home. When we arrived the shower bracket was on the floor and I had to fix it. Surrounded by dodgy 'supermarkets'/grocery shops that overcharge & refuse to give money back. This partially ruined the experience leaving a sour taste in our mouths so we will not return to the area. Average to poor breakfast at hotel.
We stayed there for 4 nights, Hotel is quite clean, breakfast is average , rooms are fine. Bathrooms are big which is great. Staff is terrible because they demanded from us to pay few things from mini bar which we did not take at all. All in all, I did not expect much becuase it was school excursion but i would not stay here again
