The hotel was ok, but staff at main desk was not helpful and in fact negatively effects my whole experience here. I asked for a room on upper floor and away from elevator and got the opposite. (2nd floor in front of elevator) and staff refused to resolve the issue. Gave me a card to the management and said I had to email them with the issue, but said it wouldn’t matter! Not a way to handle a valued customer. In addition, I was to receive a bottle of wine for my stay and didn’t receive it! Not standard for a 5 star Hotel.

The hotel was wonderful! We booked two rooms for 5 nights and our experience was great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are perfectly decorated, just like a guest room at any home. The sheets and towels where in perfect condition. We stayed during the New Year celebrations and although the hotel is right in front of the festivities, our rooms where quite, we could sleep peacefully. The bathroom was clean and modern. I absolutely loved this boutique hotel and recommend it to anyone going to Porto.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a nice area of Porto. Receptionists are always there to great us and they were very helpful. Room was very cozy and well stocked with amenities. It’s on the small side, but adequate for two of us. The hotel is within walking distance to the churches (Santa Clara, Se do Porto, Dos Carmo, Dos Carmelitas, and Dos Clerigos. Cais da Ribeira and the Dom Luis are not too far.

The room itself was very nice. A fairly small washroom. Breakfast was unfortunately running low. Every time I went so I was not able to fully indulge. I was not allowed to check in until after 3 PM. It seems like a very strict policy, even if the room is ready. I watched couples before, and after me receive water and a pastry upon arrival which was not offered to me unfortunately. Because I arrived one hour early, I left my luggage at the hotel and they nicely brought it up to the room, waiting for me when I arrived. It is a great location. It seems like more of a four-star hotel versus a five in my opinion.
