Great location

This is a very clean unit at Barrier Dunes. The views from both the front and back are wonderful. We enjoyed having a very short walk to the beach. There is storage on the outside with beach wagon and chairs. We had brought our one so did not use but a big convenience.The bed was comfortable in the master. ( we did not use the second bedroom) the kitchen is very well stocked for cooking. The appliances are on the older side but work adequately.. Most restaurants are a fair jaunt back into Port St Joe but there are a couple on the cape and a few convenience stores for grabbing a few items.We really enjoyed our stay and plan on returning.

GREAT UNIT

Our family has been coming to Cape San Blas and Barrier Dunes for nearly 20 years. This is a great unit. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything was well decorated and clean. The location was great with ocean views from the master balcony. The kitchen and pantry were well stocked and the toys and beach extras in the closet downstairs were an unexpected treat. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Fantastic

We loved our stay at this property. It was quiet, peaceful, CLEAN, and cared for. Fantastic location with access to the beach, the cape, and the state park. We enjoyed time in the pool, playing pickleball, and sitting by the pond watching the turtles. We loved the close access to the bike path (we rented bikes for the week through San Flea). Zero complaints. Would stay here again in an instant.

Exactly as advertised...thankfully

Have stayed in many units in Barrier Dunes over 10 years. Not all meet their advertised standard of cleanliness or everything-listed-is-there. This unit does: clean; kitchen well stocked; beach access; etc. Thank goodness.

Stephanie always makes it easy when it come to check in and out. The Condo is great! We stay in the same one every time we come back! Love it there..was glad to have our son with us, he is home from Deployment.l, great family time.❤️

Amazing Vacation!

We had such a GREAT vacation!! This is the first time we have taken our fur babies to the beach and it was soooooo much fun!! The rental was EXACTLY as the pictures showed!! VERY clean and had everything we need and SO MUCH MORE!! Having the wagon and beach chairs available for use made our trips to the beach easy! Our 15 yo daughter made friends and enjoyed hanging with new friends and showing off our dogs!! Stefanie with VRBO never missed a phone call and literally answers on the FIRST RING!! ❤️ If you’re ever looking for a beautiful beach, family environment, dog friendly rental and so much more - I suggest you stay HERE!!!

Place was exactly as it was pictured. Great location. Nice people to deal with. Easy to have a pet there and easy to clean up after with the floors. The only suggestion woudl be to have a folder left of things to do in the area since you are more aware of the fun things to do. Having said that, really not their responsibility to do that. Would defintely come back again.

Best beach trip for peace and natural beauty

Everything was clear and easy. Booking, access, etc. the condo was perfect and I loved the views of the gulf and the pond! Easy beach access and keyless entry made coming and going simple. We will come back with our kids as soon as we can. Thank you!!

Diamond in the rough!

Nice tucked away location, very close to the beach. Stephanie was there and provided whatever we needed. Negatives: This place needs deep and thorough cleaning - top to bottom, including ventilation system, kitchen cabinets, storage room; spruce up window treatments, remove dust from all surfaces not only commonly used areas. Musty odor. It is an older unit and it shows. Decluttering and removing some furniture would be beneficial. We will be back in the area.

Property was nicely furnished. Kitchen was adequately equipped - we had to buy some cooking utensils to cook breakfast-There were no spatulas. The property needs to be cleaned. Filthy vents and window sills.; cobwebs. Dirty dishes in the cabinets. Very musty smelling. Quick walk to the beach. Just needs a deep clean and inventory of kitchen items.

Love the Cape ......

This condo sadly needs a deep clean . When we arrived there was sand everywhere in the garage and the trash can holder was filthy . I spent over an hour cleaning the garage and the door mats . There is dust everywhere. I hate to complain however , the last condo we stayed at was very clean . The outside chairs were too dirty to use . I don’t feel I should have to clean on my vacation other than the mess my family makes . We will return to the cape just not to this home .

Dog friendly beach and complex

This was my first trip to this area. Food was within 20-30 mins, which wasn't bad. Quick walk to the beach. Lots of people with their dogs, which was nice. Social distancing was followed. Quiet area but their were children playing as well. Good family complex. Would go back again.

Tranquility Cape R&R 9-2020

The unit was nicely appointed and clean upon arrival. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the pond and feeing the turtles. Lots of walks with our dogs, bike riding and a really short walk to the beach. Nice peaceful location and found some great food and the local restaurants and cooked in a couple of nights. Will return again for sure! It was a much needed short family get away for fall break.

The location is absolutely beautiful, perfect getaway!

We will definitely be back. Port St. Joe was exactly what we were looking for! No hustle and bustle or overcrowded beaches. This place has everything we needed. It's nothing fancy but perfect for your stay. It is stocked with all the necessities of home. Loved the view of the pond and super short walk to the beach. The management had wonderful communication with us. Loved the fact the unit had beach chairs and umbrellas. The shower outside came in handy for us since there was a small leak in the main water supply in Port St.Joe and we had very little water pressure. Over all we can't complain. The only suggestion would be for anyone with toddlers may want to bring some gates that can be placed at the bottom of each staircase. Our three year old wanted to constantly climb up and down them....if we would have thought about it we had some gates we could have brought from home to eliminate this. The community is super friendly. I would also recommend stopping at the piggly wiggly on your way in otherwise you are limited to what the two small places in town have. We def recommend this if your looking for a great relaxing get away from it all. So peaceful and clean. It is truly a hidden gem. Also the unit was plenty enough space for out family of 6.
