I booked this room for my son who was travelling up to QLD for the night. Pre-booked the night before and paid on my credit card very helpful lady. My son reports the room was comfortable, air conditioned, clean modern room and adequate for a night sleep stop on way to Caloundra.
Stayed in February for 2 nights, wasn't too bad for the price, friendly staff comfy room, fairly quiet, close to shops so it was good for what i needed have stayed in 5 star that have been worse so i was very happy
Overnight stay on the way to Sydney from Gold Coast. So I didn't really spend much time in there. It is just a motel, so can't expect much from it. Stayed there with mum and two teenagers. separated rooms, which was good, and would stay again only if it is again for an overnight stay and nothing else.
Great little motel. Nice rooms with tv and fans. and good for the price. Very close to all shopping and beaches Was greeted by a very friendly and bubbly staff member. Very close to other rooms therefore it can be a bit noisy if there's a lot of people staying. And hearing car doors in the carpark. Very good for a one or 2 night stay. Carpark is small though
Booked Motel on line it exceeded my expectations ,staff friendly older Motel but very clean and well presented under cover parking for bike a little bit out of town but walking distance to most facilities over all great value for money
The owner is very friendly and helpful, and has only had the motel 12 months or so, and is doing a fantastic job doing the motel up, Painting, new carpets, Comfortable bedding, Rooms very clean. good air conditioning, and plenty of hot water, Close to town, Parking is one car per room at the moment, but was told that she is going to add more parking for extra vehicles when possible. Price is very reasonable.
Never have I been more revolted - not only by discovering cockroaches (plural) on the pillow where I was about to put my face - but more so the lying, deceitful treatment I received from the staff afterwards. I spent less than 30 minutes in the room. Dropped off suitcases after a long drive, went out for dinner, returned at 10pm and discovered the cockroaches. Immediately loaded our bags back into our car and contacted the staff. A young girl attended our room (I'm going to guess the teenage daughter of the management?) and told me "oh I guess we will have to call the exterminators again". She promptly disappeared before I had the chance to return our keys. I called several times and the phone went unanswered. I left a voicemail but never received a call back. I left the keys in the after hours box with a polite note requesting they reverse the charges made on my credit card. Of course they didn't. I had a relative in Australia give them a call after a week, and the person on the phone claimed that the towels were used. Absolutely not true. I sent an email (again nice and polite) stating all the facts and requested they reverse the charge as I received no goods or services from them. Didn't hear back. A month goes by and I email again requesting at least a response and I get a rude reply that says they won't return my money and that they'll wait to hear from my lawyer! It's not a huge amount of money, but the principle. If you don't mind sharing your bed with cockroaches, then this is your place. I've kept copies of the notes and emails I sent and have attached the pic of the cockroach on their bed - looks small in the photo but it was bloody huge ewww
Look this is not the Ritz its a cheap old style Motel for the budget aware. Needed a quick stop over for a mate and I with 2 bed rooms and this was the cheapest. Very very clean and tidy with new furnishings and carpet. Had air conditioning but did not need it. Front rooms had a little high way noise with windows open but I'm sure rear would be good. Tea/coffee and TV and internet was good. Owner helpful and friendly. Not a romantic choice if travelling with the wife but probably the cheapest you will find. Yes would stay again in same circumstances.
A reasonable motel budget prices the main room is good comfortable bed and all the usual things you expect, quiet being on a main road, quiet air conditioning, parking off street is tight when driving out do it at an angle so to not scrape front of car, there was a couple of issues though, needs a bed side lamp but the biggest was the bathroom could definitely do with a total revamp very dated, there's plenty of hot water and good towels but the cracked tiles behind the toilet not a good sight, staff very friendly if bathrooms upgraded would definitely stay again
I loved this motel. Although the room is small, it was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The owners are friendly and professional and provide excellent service. You can get a breakfast pack for a few dollars if you have to leave early the next morning. My only minor issue was the lack of powerpoints. I had a computer and two phones to charge and I could only find one powerpoint in the room and one in the bathroom. There were none near the bed. I will bring a powerboard next time I stay.
