We stayed for a night on way up to the gold coast. We stayed in the family loft unit which was right near the plunge pool. The pool was great and we spent hours swimming in here. Both rooms had airconditioning and bathrooms. Unfortunately the only downside was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. In the toilet downstairs there was unflushed urine in the toilet and the vanity upstairs had black soot all over it. Also because the motel had self cleaning policy the dishes were also dirty. I mentioned the issues to reception so hopefully they can address this for future visitors.
good - very clean, spacious, well maintained and central not so good - we were told that parking is on first come basis, which is something to keep in mind and if you have heavy bags, you will need to climb some stairs (external & internal) something to keep in mind, I dont think this would deter us though, as the Lodge is really nice to stay in but be mindful of the noise if you are at ground level
We arrived at the hotel 7am Christmas Day, without a booking, after being washed out of our camping grounds. We phoned from outside the motel & the Manger (a lovely lady) allowed us to book in immediately. We were dressed in our PJs as all our gear was soaking wet. She offered to dry all our clothes in the industrial dryer for us..This was her Christmas Day!!! The Unit was great, beds very comfy, close to everything. The welcome information book was very concise, and included everything anyone would need. Huge screen TV, great mini bar with bottles of wine. Lots of extras available from the reception if you did not want to leave the room. Healthy meals available that you can heat in the microwave. A bbq & grill are available to cook for yourself on the covered in deck. Really enjoyed and appreciated our two night stay. Will definitely be back !!! Thank YOU.
The motor lodge is well situated in a quiet area, but still just a few minutes walk from town and all amenities. The room was spotless and comfortable and the staff really helpful and professional. We could easily have spent more than two nights in this lovely town which has to be one of the best for spotless and modern amenities. Absolutely stunning.
We stayed overnight at the Astor Hill Motor Lodge and would highly recommend it especially for an overnight stay. Our room was quiet and well-appointed if showing its age a little. The bathroom was spacious and the shower worked well. The low-cost continental breakfast was self-service in a smartly-fitted out breakfast room. Perhaps the best attribute of all was the helpfulness of the staff. It is a short distance from the centre of town. Overall, a great find. We would certainly stay there again.
We were on the end of our road trip Wollongong -Gold Coast and back, and this was the best hotel we stayed in. Reception was fantastic, everyone was nice and helpful. Room was modern and not what I expected. Did not have that cheap dirty feel you often get. Air con, big tv, great kitchen, decent shower!!! Finally a shower that was clean! Bed was medium. But we slept fine. Quiet location. Except random bangs at 3am but that wasn't the hotels fault. Would stay again.
Impressed by the courteous, friendly attitude of the staff, the room was very clean and tidy and looked and felt fresh. The bathroom appointments were adequate. The breakfast room was most impressive; spotless, all breakfast items supplied were most adequate for a satisfying first meal of the day! Without hesitation, we would choose the Aston Hill Motor Lodge again.
Reception was nice and friendly, the motel was in a decent location being a short drive to the town centre or a reasonable walk. The price range to room size is really good. A slight down fall was that the shower, which the water pressure was on and off, and a limited selection for the complementary breakfast.
Booked this motel online. Found it to be nice and comfortable. Had a lot of space in room with kitchenette and lounge sitting area. The bathroom was half updated with a big rose shower head. The exhaust fan though, needed a clean. Huge tv with lots of usb ports etc. I found the car park area a bit tight to park in but eventually managed. We were able to drive back into town which is very close, have dinner and watch the Russian Ballet Company at the Glass House. Very convenient. Will use again, next time in Port Macquarie.
Very spacious, friendly staff, clean and modern facilities, small kitchen area. The room also had some lounge chairs and a small dining table and chairs. It also had great lighting which I find a must in motels. I could definitely recommend this to any travellers.
