Christmas Visit

Great stay at The Turtle Nest. Easy instructions, clean house. Pool was nice and warm. Coffee maker was excellent. Will stay here again when visiting.

Excellent place to stay

House was very clean and stocked with anything you would need. Sliding glass door worked very hard but the owners stated they are waiting for a new one to come in so they are aware of the issue. The pool was very clean and warm. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in the area. Pictures are very accurate.

Great property

Fantastic Rental

This house was perfect for our family of 8. Plenty of room, pool, and good location. They have literally thought of anything and everything you could possibly need here. We mainly utilized the pool while we were there, but the fire pit was amazing. Loved not having to deal with wood etc to get it started. Tiki hut was a nice surprise and a great place to hang out while grilling dinner. We were close to the mall in Port Charlotte, also enjoyed some great donuts at Abbe’s Donuts. The house is location is great, you can drive to Naples, Fort Myers, or go north to Venice or Tampa. Which we did, you’re right in the middle of it all. Communication was fast and friendly with the owner. We have rented several properties over the years and I would say this is the best stocked house we’ve ever stayed. All we needed was food, toiletries, and our clothes. We throughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back! Thanks again for a fantastic vacation!

Great place to stay!

We loved this house! It was the perfect layout for my family, and more than enough space for the 5 of us! Communication was excellent. Any question that we had, we got a response right away. We will definitely be back next year!

We stayed at The Turtle Nest to visit family we havent seen in years. Everything was provided and thought of. Appliances, linens, pool towels and toys were all ready and available to use. The owners also have streaming services signed in for use for the guests. Water pressure in the shower was good. Washer, dryer and dishwasher all worked without issues. Definitely planning to stay again next year and making it a family vacation yearly. The heated pool, and outdoor was entertaining as well. It was too hot outside so we did not use the fire pit or the grill but everything was there. We also had a lot of fun with the outdoor jenga set and used the other games provided. One of the best trips we have ever had. Thank you!!

Okay but. No super stay

We rented The Turtle Nest when in Port Charlotte dealing with my elderly parents. My father was in rehab after a hospitalization. My mother was still in assisted living after a disastrous apartment move. A short visit turned long and we vacated a hotel for a VRBO. The location was close to both parents. The house was clean, very well stocked, and nicely updated. Checkin and Checkout out was very easy. The house rules were reasonable: basically what we do at home. The biggest issue we had was the heat. The thermostat programs may be adequate during peak tourist seasons, but not summer. We would set the thermostat to 72° and find the inside temp at 85° when we came back. It would take all evening to get the inside temp reasonable. At night it goes into sleep mode and again raises the temp. The pool equipment is right outside the master bedroom and noisy. We did not use the pool. Our’s at home is much bigger and nicer. This one seemed quite cramped. The grill is outside by the tiki bar and in the full sunlight. Grilling in the evening heat is challenging. Most Florida VRBOs have their grill conveniently inside the lanai and near a ceiling fan. We probably wouldn’t rent The Turtle Nest again. There are better options in the area.

Nice VRBO

This property was a nice fit for us and the location was just right as we were visiting family members. The host appeared to think of the gusts and provided some things such as beach chairs etc that you would not normally expect to have provided for you. The sand pit was nice but presented a challenge in getting the sand off your feet/shoes before reentry to the house.

Amazing!

This was a wonderful home to stay in while visiting Port, Charlotte and Punta Gorda. The house was beautifully decorated by the hostess. They didn’t leave anything out. Everything was so clean and well appointed for our stay! We would absolutely come and stay there again. The hostess was amazing to communicate with, and helped me out with any questions I had. Great stay decent location

The house is really nice and has everything you need. Especially for a beach vacation even though the beach is about 45 min to an hour away. The layout was nice. The location had lots of stores and restaurants nearby. We had 2 families in there. Total of 4 kids and there was plenty for them to do.

Great memories made at the Turtle Nest

We had a wonderful time staying at the Turtle Nest. My two boys (6) & (10) were entertained the entire stay. Everything is as listed in the property description and it is just a short drive to many beaches, shops, restaurants and more. We will definitely keep this property in mind the next time we come down to Florida.

Well appointed home

The house was very clean, well appointed and decorated nicely. The home was well stocked with quality amenities, definitely set the rental apart. We had a little issue checking in as the code and access information was not initially provided and had to reach out to VRBO but was resolved relatively quickly. The neighborhood/location was acceptable and quiet but not necessarily a selling point. Overall, the rental met our needs and expectations!

Excellent property to stay.

So much for kids of all ages to do, indoor and outdoor. Beautiful pool and outdoor fire pit and tiki bar. Would recommend this property and would stay here again. Great location!

Beautiful home!

This home is absolutely gorgeous. so comfortable and fun. The decor is beautiful, the beds are very comfortable and the backyard is amazing, with pool, a "beach", tiki bar, and fire pit area. Awesome clean house

Relaxing Family Vacation

This was the most user-friendly rental management I have ever used. They were prompt in responding to me at any time. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped.
