We had a pleasant stay. The house and the decor were really cute. Chris was very attentive to our needs. My dog really enjoyed her stay. The fenced in yard was perfect. The neighborhood was very quiet making our trip very relaxing. The beach access is exactly one mile down the road. All in all it was a nice stay.

35 year anniversary

This house is great for pets with a fully enclosed yard. The location is really close to fishing areas and beach areas. Very quiet if you don’t count the birds. I would suggest to let people know the gate can be heavy especially if an elderly couple.

Fishing get away

My brother and I went down for 2 nights and 3 days to fish and get away. We didnt want to be in with all the crowds so we booked twords the ferry on purpose and we couldnt have made a better choice. We were 1 block from the south bait camp and 5 minutes from frenchtown. It was the perfect place for this. The house is clean and the cookware is top shelf. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great besides walking in to food being smeared on the fridge and inside the freezer. And some type of yellow liquid being a puddle in the living room. Everything else was clean. Loved the options of games to play.

Perfect and Relaxing

Nice quiet off to yourself kind of place. Close to the North Jetty for some amazing fishing. Close enough to enjoy Galveston if you wanted to even though we didn’t. Close enough to Crystal Beach

Cute house but a few issues

We booked a 3 night stay and our first issue was a heavy sliding wooden gate. I think it needs some work to unstick it. The 2nd was dead roaches on tge floor. There was a smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. The air vent was very dirty. The house pictures are true to the space. There were lots of pots and pans. The house is cute, a great location to the ferry and I believe with some attention it will be fine. We didn’t stay as my husband has a lung condition and the vent made the air vent questionable. I did notify the owner that we were not staying and why. He never responded.

Anniversary vacation

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest! Christopher communicated with us before, during and after our stay. He is one incredible host! The house was perfect for us and our furbaby Tanner! The bed was so comfy and house was clean. We couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable vacation! We will definitely be back!

Worked well for our family.

Overall the property worked well for us. We liked the privacy fence for our pup, and the proximity to ferry. House was clean, but one night it sounded like a critter was in the attic and walls. Deck could use some repairs but we would stay here again. Good communication with the host, and prompt responses.

Very Quiet

This place is nestled on the east end of the peninsula. It is exceptionally quiet there, which is perfect for a get-away from a busy urban life and if you like to fish, you are minutes away from a jetty with a bait camp. A very good bargain!

So Quiet.

Everything you need and nothing you don't. The place was nice, quiet and clean. It's surrounded on a couple sides by uncleared lots. I really liked that added seclusion and the view across the wild greenery. My little dog LOVED the fenced yard and especially trotting up and down the stairs next to the banana trees. We really enjoyed the less busy beach about 4 miles up the road off Boat Rd. The owner was also helpful and friendly- he called me immediately when I sent a message inquiring about food delivery. (Bring your own, or plan to go out!) This was a business planning trip for me- next time I'll bring my husband and enjoy the place in a more leisurely way!
