Great host, great location , great stay

One little week but enough to fully relax at Eva and Pietro’s little oasis. For us beach lovers , it was a deliberate choice to try a new place a little bit more inland and discover Tuscany’s medieval towns as we please, yet with the luxury of a great pool when we were back from our little excursions. Being away from mass tourism in the middle of July was greatly enjoyable and spending time with our family and two little dogs at I Casali is an experience we will remember with lots of fond memories. See you next time!

Relaxation in the most beautiful surrounding Tuscany countryside

We were a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children (10,10 & 13) from the minute we booked the communication was excellent. We arrived late at night due to an issue with our Car hire company but Eva greeted us with such a warm, natural welcome. Due to our lateness we didn’t have time to stop and buy basics for breakfast but Eva kindly arrived with a basket of essentials for our family to have breakfast which was so kind and thoughtful. We visited Volterra, Pomerance and San Gimignano and for the rest of the time we chilled by the pool at the farmhouse relaxing in the most spectacular surroundings you can imagine, the peace and quiet and privacy was blissful and it is all wired in and gated so children have great freedom to roam around and play, or relax and read in the hammock or splash in the pool. Highly recommend this letting and if I could give any advise to families coming to stay it would be don’t over do the traveling to medieval towns for the kids as they unfortunately are not as interested as us adults are - we found the days where we had breakfast and lunch at the farmhouse and let the kids relax, play in the pool and then went somewhere like Volterra in the evenings for food and ice cream then a stroll around the beautiful shops were definitely the best days spent in I Casali - as voted by our children. I hope we will make it back again.

Amazing Home With Breath Taking Views

We have a family of 5 and this home in the hills was amazing! It was roomy, very clean, updated yet it still had all the charm of a classic Tuscan stone farm house. It was about a 20 minute drive from the closest large town but there was a smaller town near by to get fuel, find a bank, pastry store, etc. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were updated. The owners, Pietro and his wife were very accommodating and kind. We would definitely come back here again and again!!!

Perfect, tranquil and idillyic

We had the most amazing holiday. The accommodation is faultless and set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with far reaching breath-taking views. The villa is ideally located within an hour’s travelling distance of many places. The pool and gardens are tidy and well maintained. The nearby beaches are well worth a visit. The locals speak varying degrees of English but were always very happy and eager to welcome us. Pietro was a perfect host who was very helpful in suggesting places to visit, things to do and restaurants. We completely fell in love this place and will definitely return, leaving was very difficult! Highly recommended.

This property was GREAT. The apartment was comfortable, clean and well stocked for everything we needed. The views were wonderful and the ideas Pietro gave us for exploring the area were useful and all fun. The view from the rock in Micciano was wonderful. Pietro was available for all of our questions. It was a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the Tuscany country side.

If you want rest and relaxation, this is certainly the place for you. As previous reviewers have pointed out, it is quite a way from anywhere. The nearest village, Micciano (which by the way is not a mere 10 minutes walk away), has a smart restaurant and a shop which we never actually found to be open, but is pretty. Much better for shopping is Ponteginori which has everything you need, including petrol. It's about 12-15 minutes' drive away. The house is wonderfully situated on the top of a hill with great views all round. It's a lovely old building surrounded by flower and herb beds, and a vineyard just below. Everything that we needed (there were 3 of us) was provided, including towels for the swimming pool, which was excellent. We visited many of the towns and villages in the area and would particularly recommend Montecattini val di Cecini and Casale Marittimo. Not to mention Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena and Lucca! Pietro and Eva were very welcoming as has been mentioned by other reviewers. As our heading points out, a unique getaway.

A Tuscan Dream

Our family loved our time here. It. Was. In. The. Middle. Of. Nowhere. This is why we loved it. We spent time in this house for a few days on and around Easter Sunday. We went to the teeeny tiny church for Easter Sunday Mass. Our visit was amazing. This was the perfect base for us to visit Pisa, Lucca and Volterra. It's off the beaten path (as in these town folks only speak Italian and are still excited and courteous about foreigners). My kids enjoyed getting lost in the hills of the forest, we loved sitting at the picnic table, drinking wine and watching the sunset. I feel so blessed to have stumbled upon this little slice of heaven. Owners were quick, responsive and excellent hosts. I tell everyone I know who is visiting to make a trip here. Our world is vastly changing and becoming more and more global... this place is true, unadulterated Italy. Something to treasure, whille we can......

An all-round feel-good package stay in Tuscany

a really nice location for a quiet holiday. The house and the hosts are just super. The house itself is beautifully divided, all residents have private areas as well as common areas. Inside, everything is available for a nice stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms include a good mattress and nice bright rooms. There exist outdoors tables and benches so that you can have breakfast in the morning or the evening meal outside and enjoy the wonderful views of the countryside. The hosts help with advice and practical tips for Tours in the Tuscany, without being intrusive. Micciano is a good starting point for many tours (Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano). For the kids, the dog and the cat Cora Aldina were the highlight. Also the Pool has a good Quality and was for us and the Kids a real pleasure. So for us it was not the Last Visit to Tuscany, and to I Casali !

Wunderschöne Lage

Wir waren mit der Familie fĂŒr 2,5 Wochen in dem Haus. Die Lage ist fantastisch, wenn man Ruhe und Weite liebt. StĂ€dte wie Pisa, Siena und San Gimignano sind in 1-2 Stunden super zu erreichen. Und auch das Meer ist ganz nah (Cecina).Vielen Dank fĂŒr die schöne Zeit bei euch Conny.

Oase der Ruhe

I Casali ist ein sehr schönes rustikales Haus mit 3 Wohnungen. Zwei sind vermietet, die dritte wohl zeitweise vom Besitzer genutzt. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, nur ein kleiner Weg fĂŒhrt vorbei. Bis zum nĂ€chsten Ort fĂ€hrt man mit dem Auto ĂŒber kleine, kurvenreiche Straßen gut 20 Minuten. Dort gibt es dann zwei kleine SupermĂ€rkte (Wir haben alles was Sie brauchen, was wir nicht haben, brauchen Sie nicht...) , BĂ€cker, Fleischer, Bar, Tankstelle... Einfach mal auf eine Pizza losgehen ist also nicht. DafĂŒr ist die KĂŒche komplett ausgestattet und auf den MĂ€rkten gibt es natĂŒrlich alles was man sich vorstellen kann. Uns hat das sehr gut gefallen. Es gibt einen gemeinsamen Grillplatz fĂŒr beide Apartments, jede Menge Sitz und LiegeplĂ€tze unter BĂ€umen, in der Sonne, um den Pool. Jetzt wird es abends auf dem Berg dann schon kĂŒhl, wenn der Wind aufkommt noch schneller. Am Tage, in der Sonne, mit dem weiten Ausblick in die Berge ist es fantastisch. Conny und Ihr Mann haben uns super informiert und auch wenn es mal irgendwo klemmt, gibt es UnterstĂŒtzung am Telefon oder von Luigi, der sich vor-Ort um alles (Garten, Pool, GlĂŒhbirnen, etc.) kĂŒmmert, Wer die Ruhe in der Natur sucht ist hier absolut richtig! Vielen Dank...

Idyllische Lage mit Fernblick

Das Haus liegt abseits des Trubels in idyllischer Lage mit wunderbarem Fernblick. Bestens geeignet fĂŒr Naturliebhaber.. Monte Paradiso

Wahre Freiheit impliziert, dass man nicht darĂŒber nachdenken muss, ob man frei ist
 Genauso kann man nicht des Entspannens wegen entspannen. Wenn man sich fallen lassen kann, dann fĂ€llt man - ganz ohne Plan und Ziel. Es passiert einfach von selbst. Man verlĂ€sst die Ebene der BekĂŒmmertheit und versinkt in einem Meer aus Leichtigkeit. Einen solchen Moment hier erleben zu dĂŒrfen, war erhofft, aber eben nicht geplant. Es ist einfach passiert. Diese ĂŒberwĂ€ltigende Schönheit lĂ€sst einen in Dankbarkeit genießen. Mensch und Natur passen hier irgendwie zusammen, allein weil es scheint, als könne der Mensch der Natur nicht das Wasser reichen. Die Kraft von Bergen und TĂ€lern, das Meer in „Riechweite“, die tierischen Begegnungen - eine göttliche Symbiose - und mittendrin man selbst

Eine Woche in I Casale

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in I Casale genossen. Es liegt auf einer Anhöhe, von der man traumhafte Ausblicke in die Umgebung hat. Da wir wussten, dass es sehr abgelegen ist, hatten wir uns entsprechend organisiert und bereits auf der Hinfahrt eingekauft. Toller Blick und schöner Garten

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche in der wundersbaren Toskana. Die Wohnung ist deutlich kleiner, als erwartet und eher fĂŒr 4 Personen geeignet, als fĂŒr 6. Wir waren mit 4 Kindern da und hatten somit kein Wohnzimmer und die KĂŒche ist recht klein. Aber wir konnten jeden Morgen in der Sonne im Garten frĂŒhstĂŒcken. Der Pool war wetterbedingt leider noch nicht geöffnet. Wir haben viele AuflĂŒge gemacht und auch wunderbare SpaziergĂ€nge direkt vom Haus. Luigi war sehr nett und hat uns bestens versorgt.

Wirklich sehr schön und sehr ruhig gelegen... gut, zum Einkaufen ist es etwas weiter, was aber nicht an der Entfernung, sondern an den kleinen Straßen liegt... aber man macht je eh AusflĂŒge und besorgt sich da das Notwendige... Wir konnten hier die Seele baumeln lassen....

La pace dei sensi

Appena si entra nella proprietĂ  di Pietro ci si sente subito in un altro mondo, ma anche a casa. Abbiamo passato una settimana all'insegna del relax immersi nel verde e nel silenzio, a pochi km da paesi e vigneti tutti da scoprire. Un'esperienza da consigliare e appena possibile da replicare!
