We’ve been going to The Lodge at Woodloch for a few years, and it always seems to be improving. The classes change all the time, the equipment is upgraded, and the furnishings are replaced. The decor is beautiful, now more than ever. Everything you need is here, great food, the best hot tub ever, and a great fitness center for working off all the indulgence you enjoy here. I enjoyed myself too much to take more than one photo, but the deer were so tame.

Let’s say you live in the New York area, and let’s say you just need to get away for a couple of days because you desperately need a change of scenery, because your mind and body are screaming for relaxation, and you wish you had a magic wand to create a place that is beautiful, within two hours driving, with perfect attention to service, excellent offerings and and delicious healthy food, in a cheerful quiet superclean environment. Well you don’t need that magic wand— you just need to go to Woodloch Lodge. The Lodge is extremely beautiful, spread out and quiet, the spa services beyond fantastic, the hikes and friendly guides are great, there are trails and kayaks and bikes and paddle -boards and archery, and for a change of scenery within yourself they are painting classes and journaling and cooking demos. Loved every minute of our three day stay, will return over and over again if I am a lucky girl. I am searching for one negative thing to say and I am coming up empty. In comparison Canyon Ranch is overrated and over expensive. Here everything (but spa treatments) is included, much bang for your buck, I need a 6th star for this property. Ownership is doing everything right here. For comparison look at my review of Kripalo earlier this year, but they can’t get anything right, this place can’t get anything wrong!

We visited Woodloch spa this summer for a massage and I decided then that this would be the perfect place for a surprise weekend getaway to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. He could not have been more surprised when the valet greeted him with a hearty happy birthday upon our arrival! This is the place to go if you want to really relax and be pampered. We did a yoga class, had massages and went for a long walk on the nature trail. It was the perfect way to unwind from our hectic lives. We even turned our phones off for the day! The food was delicious and there was a nice array of choices: vegan, vegetarian, meat, gluten free, dairy free etc. Three meals per day were included. I was a little nervous as my husband is a "grazer" and does not necessarily eat three squares a day. They have a room where there is coffee, tea, water, and snacks available all day long, so he was never hungry. The room is very comfortable. We had a king bedroom that looked out over the fire pit patio, the woods, and the lake. It was delightful sitting out on our patio in the afternoon. The bed was very comfortable and you could ask for different pillows - contour, body etc. The spa was really set up for comfort - changing rooms, showers, robes, plenty of towels. In the co-ed area there is a heated swimming pool indoors, a hot tub outdoors, and two hot tubs indoors with massaging waterfalls. In the single-gender area there is a hot tub and sauna. The massage was wonderful - just the right amount of pressure. I had a choice of different scented oils. It was very relaxing. The price is not insignificant for a weekend visit, but Woodloch Spa is worth every penny.

Just finished my 9th spa weekend at Woodloch with a group of girlfriends. 1.5 hours from NYC and I feel like a new person. The classes, the food and the staff are top notch. See you next year Woodloch!

This was my first time going to a spa resort and I was a little nervous about the price, however, it was worth every penny. This was the most relaxing, comfortable, and pampered trip I have ever been on. The staff from the valet to housekeeping were so incredible to us. The food was the best I’ve ever had at any resort! The spa was fabulous. I’m already looking to go back. Definitely worth it!

One of my absolute favorite places for some serious R&R!!! This is an all-inclusive wellness spa. They offer every type of exercise activity you can imagine - Tai Chi, Qigong, archery, Paddleboarding, yoga, pliates, meditation, hiking,TRX, rowing, HIT...just to name a few. You create your own schedule and do as much or as little as you want. There is no pressure! The food is AMAZING!! (and they do serve alcohol at an additional charge). The spa treatments are heavenly! They are pricey, but they include the gratuity and are well worth it. The relaxation room is my favorite place - fireplace, cosy blankets and stunning views of the lake and wooded surroundings. I have been to this resort many times and have had a wonderful experience each an every time. I prefer the fall and winter. Summer was a bit "buggy", but the animals were very active - lots of chipmunks and even a visit from a black bear. mid-week rates are cheaper. Sign up to receive email alerts of special rates. Weekdays are more groups of friends and the weekends and holidays tend to be more couples. Through all seasons they offered wonderful outdoor activities. I can't wait to go back!!

The Lodge at Woodloch is the ultimate adult getaway. It is a world class spa and all inclusive resort. It starts right at check-in when they give you a re-usable tote bag and water bottle to use throughout your stay. The rooms are lovely with a great bathroom and beautiful patio. The property itself is beautiful with manicured grounds yet also rustic and wooded with wildlife (deer, birds, chipmunks, nothing crazy, just sweet). Our patio faced a nicely landscaped waterfall display. The food was delicious with so many choices and options for staying on any kind of diet or pure indulgence. We loved that during the day you could go from your room to the dining room to the spa to the pool all in your provided spa robe! The indoor and outdoor pool are were clean and inviting. The locker room provides everything you need from showers, to hair dryers to toiletries, you name it, it was there. The relaxation rooms in the spa are wonderful as well. Highly recommend for a girls getaway, baby moon, romantic weekend. We also enjoyed the paint nite event. It was an awesome treat and we soaked up every minute of our kid-free, girls only getaway to celebrate our friends 50th birthday! This property is adults only (do not confuse it with Wooloch Pines their sister property 2 miles down the road which is a family resort).

Woodloch is pure perfection. From the atmosphere, to the ambience, food, and people. Absolute perfection. I love Woodloch. One day here and it feels like you've spent a long weekend away. Pure, decadent, relaxation! The best spa I've ever been to . . . and I've been to so many. But none compare with Woodloch!

I love it here. Whenever life gets tough and I need a break, I escape to the Lodge at Woodloch. They take good care of me. I love the art classes and there's always a new fitness class to try. The walking trail always reveals something I've never seen before. Sitting by the water soothes me. I'm always happy to arrive and sad to leave.

I wanted to take a short weekend getaway with my husband and we were thinking of flying down to Miami for the weekend. All we wanted to do was relax, exercise and do almost nothing from the crazy past few months of work we've had. We were burnt out so the thought of hopping on a plane exhausted us. After comparing the costs of the flight for 2, a 4-5 star hotel in Miami and food, I realized that driving 2.5 hours to the Lodge from Brooklyn was a no-brainer for us with all food and activities included. We didn't have to deal with the crazy airport lines and were able to relax in 2.5 hours by hopping in a car from our home. I went to Culinary School and have a very high standard of food. Let me tell you, you will be blown away by the quality of food! There are healthy options and options for those that are "meat and potato" eaters like my husband! The food was a real treat and something I looked forward to everyday. The biscuits, steak, appetizers are absolutely delicious. Also, make sure you drink the Sport Tea throughout your stay. I took a TRX class and I work out at Equinox and boy it was HARD! I am still feeling my abs a few days after. I also took the Pound class which was so much fun (but not actually using drums). The couples massage (I had Amy who was EXCELLENT!) was one of the best we've had. The service in the dining area, including smiling Mitch and Michael, were a real trip; they were so hospitable, friendly and funny! We loved them. You can tell they really treat their staff well here because they all seem to be genuinely very happy. No detail is left behind, even the hotel pen comes with a highlighter to highlight your classes on the schedule (I didn't have to bring my highlighter) for those who are organized-freaks like myself. (Silly, I know, lol). Thank you Lodge for an amazing time, it won't be my last!
