Rooms are old. Matresses are old fashin and hard. If you are used to modern matress technology you will struggle to sleep. There is no a la carte restaurant at lunch so you cannot order paella and you have to eat buffet. And the worse thing: there is not sufficient personnel so everything takes ages to happen. It takes 2hrs or more to dine. And because the personnel is super stressed they are not nice as they used to be. This place has been downgraded a lot and I know it since more than 15yrs ago. A pity. Whe you complain you inmediately feel the functionary behaviour of their enployees, normal as because is a state owned chain so noone bothers. But they could pretend a bit. Not advisable. And trust me I know it since long ago
Although is well known the awesome quality of breakfast in "Paradores", it become surely a nightmare if you are gluten intolerant. There is NOTHING but an awful patisserie impossible to swallow. My worst experience ever traveling. Definitely, I will never never never return to any Parador.

Large modern hotel with spacious rooms. Room 128 was fine, although the air conditioning made a heavy rumble like the waves. Nice breakfast buffet and service. Pool is perfect. Cafetaria and bar: you have to be very patient, the service is as slow as the wifi on this spot and not all personnel enjoys providing service. The least customer oriented from the five paradors we visited untill now.
My wife and I stayed at the Parador El Saler for 8 nights during July 2017 with our 6 year old son. We booked a double superior room (sea view) on B&B basis. This was our second stay at this hotel as we had enjoyed it so much last year. The hotel service, quality and staff were all excellent and we had another fantastic holiday. The hotel's location inside a Nature Reserve makes it very special. The staff care for the environment and look after the hotel and it's surrounds with great care. The beach is very quiet (feels like a private beach when in fact it's not). Parking and WiFi were excellent.. The Manager is very visible and takes a great interest in ensuring customer satisfaction.
Clean enough inside but scruffy outside. ** Very good food. Mostly spanish guests. Modern, souless building which looked half empty as if they hadnt finished furnishing it !! Poor sunbeds and grass round the pool which i really dislike. Pleasant but often slow service. We had room 138 which is a superior with balcony and sea view. The room was ok but could have been cleaner. LOVELY bed linen. There were no rooms above our room as this is a single storey section which is good as far as noise is concerned . The room seemed well soundproofed so mostly fairly quiet except for some noise in the corridor thru the door which obviously isnt . * Some of the bedrooms are in a 2 storey section so probably best to try and get on the top floor ** Its a golf hotel really so we were surprised to see so many children. It was like a kindergarten ! Quite a long way out of Valencia . Lovely beach.
What more can you want from a holiday, fantastic location, opulent accommodation, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a golf course ! A Paradore with a difference sleek and modern but with Spanish warmth.
Very disappointed having stayed in a different Parador. It was soulless and dull. Shower was broken in room but didn't realise on check in - poor attention to detail by housekeeping and not what you expect from this standard. Was fixed but only stayed one night. Had drinks on terrace and received 11bites despite having sprayed heavy duty mosi killer. Booked as haven away from city but wished we had stayed in city. Sure if you were golfer it might tick the boxes but fell way below expectations for us!!!!!!!
After an intense circuit around historic Paradores we decided to have some relaxation by the beach. It was a wonderful experience and still we continued to enjoy our love for medieval near by and Valencia, a great city. It was an excellent choice, at the level of the best Paradores we have known. Only one comment:: It was most difficult to get to the Parador for the lack of signs to guide us like in other Paradores locations
Stayed at this hotel from 15-19 May. The building itself is modern with a stunning location in a nature reserve and overlooking a championship golf course and the sea. The reception staff and all other staff we encountered were polite and efficient. The room, a superior double, was spacious and light airy and modern in design. Bed was comfortable. Very nice marble flooring throughout the room. Good shower and large bath. Double handbasin was great. TV a little small for the room but this is a minor issue only with such a great sea view! We had dinner in the bar on a few nights - the food was of a good quality and well priced. The bar area is large and spacious (as are all of the common areas of the hotel) and well appointed with stylish furniture. There is also a large terrace where you can relax with big floppy sofas to lounge around on. There is a more formal restaurant which we did not use. There are a number of little towns close by and all have little local restaurants - we used trip advisor. Breakfast was fantastic - a very large range of mainly locally sourced produce (this was a theme with most of the meals on offer at the hotel). Orange juice was divine. The choice on offer was extensive and most impressive. There is a spa/hydrotherapy pool in the basement which we did not get round to using. We did have a look around and the facilities looked great. There is a very small gym on site. The hotel communicated regularly before our arrival regarding a query about room allocation. The hotel is located just outside El Saler, a small village along the coast. It's about 22km from Valencia Centre. We hired a car from the airport and getting to the hotel took about 20 min. Driving into Valencia for a bit of touristy stuff was quite easy; underground city centre car parks were easy to locate. There is a bus from central Valencia (route 25) that runs past the hotel; I think it is a daytime only service. The hotel has a very large and well maintained pool and this area was peaceful and great for catching the sun. The beach is a 3 minute walk over the dunes and you can use deck chairs from the hotel. The is plenty of free car parking on site. This is a perfect location slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, but close enough to drive into the centre in under 20min. Don't let the fact that it is a 'golf course hotel' put you off. We had a great stay! Note that being outside of the city, most of the local shops close for siesta so plan carefully if you need essentials.
