Our family of 5 adults with one visually impaired and our two dogs had a four day/three nights stay here.
Things we were very pleased with: cottage is up to date, wonderful Endy mattresses, looks brand new and 11/10 for cleanliness, quiet location, large rooms, large grassy area, lovely water view, good air conditioner
Some things that were disappointing: things were not always as advertised. No privacy in the backyard (no fence for dogs), fire pit but no firewood provided (didn’t say in ad), no side tables or lamps in 2 rooms, no hairdryer(When we contacted the host, he said he’d bring one, but never showed), beautiful white towels but no beach towels, no fly swatter and yellow jackets had a nest over the front door, sometimes making their way inside(Host said he’d send pest control but that didn’t happen) kitchen was stocked with dishes/pots but no Saran/foil or salt! It is located on the edge of a beautiful wooded cliff and the beach access is a long set of stairs to a very very rocky beach area that was not accessible for any of us but the young and those wearing heavy duty footwear. We chose to drive to Ipperwash which was only 20 minutes away and absolutely a perfect beach.
Most of these things could have been fixed with a trip to a store but we were only there for two days. We would have brought these things from home if we had known. Again, the cottage was beautiful but just pack the extras and don’t expect to swim off their very rocky beach.
