Wonderful Experience!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Lucky Duck Villa. The views were amazing! Carlos and Lupita do a phenomenal job keeping the grounds and house nice and clean. Marie was our private chef and all meals were delicious! The staff were very kind and accommodating. We would love to visit again!

We had an amazing experience at The Lucky Duck. Lupita and Carlos were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a relaxing week on the property while taking a couple of excursions to see Belize. Everything you needed was at the property!

Everything about our family vacation exceeded our expectations!

Everything about our family vacation exceeded our expectations! All the people I worked with were exceptional from my concierge planning the trip to our on-site hosts and chef. We all felt like we were in a movie... vacationing at an incredible Villa with the nicest and most attentive caretakers in the beautiful country of Belize!!

It was a very relaxing week!

We stayed at Lucky Duck Villa with 2 other couples. We had a wonderful time! The staff, Lupita and Carlos made our stay very comfortable and stress free. Lupita kept the home very clean and did multiple loads of laundry! Carlos kept the grounds looking amazing. The chef was also very good and accommodating. It was a very relaxing week!

Lupita (House Keeper) and Carlos (Grounds keeper) were both top notch. They were on top of all our needs and wishes. They went above and beyond to make it our best vacation to date. Plascencia and the Lucky Duck Villa are a beautiful and amazing experience. The people are all very nice and inviting. The cost of living is fair and all excursions with Captain Jak's were amazing and quite safe. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary during our stay and Lupita and Carlos made the day quite memorable. They found a Priest to perform the renewal of vows ceremony and decorated the beach and our rooms for the occasion. The price we paid for the Villa was well worth the memories we have. Many thanks to Lupita and Carlos, we will go back because of the two of you.

There was no downside to this house.

There was no downside to this house. Staff is amazing. The location is outside town so it’s peaceful but yet only a golf cart drive to everything.

The property is stunning, immaculately maintained, and the perfect getaway for a large group.

Our Nov 2024 stay at Lucky Duck Villas was absolutely phenomenal!! We couldn't have loved it more. The property is stunning, immaculately maintained, and the perfect getaway for a large group. We had a blast swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, playing in the pool, relaxing in hammocks, and taking the golf carts to delicious local restaurants. Lupita and Carlos are the sweetest caretakers and they tended to our every need. They even set up a birthday surprise for one of our guests, it was so special Chef Julia cooked for us for 3 of the days and that was the best decision ever. The food was fabulous and being able to enjoy our meals at the Villa was so awesome. We are already planning our trip back to Lucky Duck and Maya Beach. This area is truly a dream come true and we can't wait to return.

We all absolutely loved it.

Our family of nine spent Christmas, 2023, at Lucky Duck Villa. We all absolutely loved it. Our every need was taken care of and questions answered by the wonderful staff of Lupita, Carlos, and Julia. We had great planned excursions, but our three teenage grandchildren loved staying at the Villa just as much with kayaks, paddle boards, and the dock. Erica, our concierge, helped with scheduling excursions, and even scheduled flights to Placencia for us when part of our family didn’t make their flight from the US. I highly recommend Gecko Vacations for a trip you will never forget! We can’t wait to go back.

Housekeepers the Jewel of it all

Carlos and Lobita who where our daily service providers were fantastic. They went above and beyond in cleaning , accommodating and providing us with anything we needed. The house itself was pretty close to it's listing but with some recommendations in improvement as follows: Pro: great location, Carlos kept the grounds impeccable clean. Amazing. Great pier, great air-conditioning, great views, very private, clean pool amazingly kept that way the whole time. Wifi worked great. TV sizes great , games for everyone, first-aid kits in every room. Clean towels, linens floors etc. Amazing. Cons: 8 adults: may be a bit to small. One large central kitchen, not as big as the picture, but manageable, for sure. If you are a coffee drinker, coffee machines not the greatest, could use an update -had to fix it several times. Small kitchenette in the 1st floor level, no sink, and very small 2cup coffee machine, unable to clean anything or throw away liquids due to no sink, but manageable. Most complaints were the following: Beds in all the rooms were very uncomfortable including pull out couch in the the above garage suite. Except, the king size bed in ground level was comfortable. Not enough seating / lounges for 8 adult around pool or by water or on pier, Seating on main deck enough but very uncomfortable due to no cushions. Kitchen undersupplied not enough for 8 people and nothing available for outdoor use (which is were everyone wants to be) recommended plastic glasses , Overall, we managed and enjoyed our stayed very much since it was about family being together, but thought it was overpriced for the type of amenities available (quality of pots, pans, glasses, chairs,coffemachine ,golfcart) . Again, best part were Lobita and Carlos who truly made our stay.
