I start with the positive aspects: Excellent service from attentive and friendly staff. Congratulations to the director for these great employees! Our room was pleasant, although quite small (in the attics). The breakfast buffet is really good and offers a big choice. Our dinner at the hotel's restaurant"Francy" was also good, the food was delicious(there could be more options for vegetarians) and the service perfect. The wine card is also a big plus! But we were irritated to be seated in the conference room (why?!) instead of the restaurant, this meeting room was cold and too bright. A smooth music would have been also nice. The ambiance was not romantic and not adapted to the high prices and our occasion: a weeding anniversary. We were disappointed. Our table neighbours were screaming kids and a couple talking on the phone. The spa is beautiful but way too small for all the guests, there are only 6 relax beds, the second day, we left because they were all occupied. The first day, there were young children, yes children! in the spa which talked loudly and rushed on the tea and sweets offered in the relax area. Kids in a spa from a Five-star-Hotel is a total NO-GO, it's even scandalous! I complained about this at the reception, the answer was that they accept children in the spa on request if nobody can babysit them elsewhere. Seriously? Thats not the problem of other guests that paid a lot to relax in the spa. On our two nights-stay, our room has not been cleaned although we put the cleaning sign outside and went away for at least 3 hours(11am-2pm). Answer from the reception: "Oh, so you certainly put the don't disturb-piece on the door.""No, certainly not, it was the please-cleantheroom-sign."(...) As you see: before writing this, I talked to the reception. When we checked out, they didn't even ask how we found our stay and nothing was done to compensate all the negative points. Because of the kindness of the waiters, I still give 4 points, BUT...
This hotel is very modern and luxurious which is a rare thing in Italy. The lobby and room we're lovely and clean and we used the spa facilities which were decent. I rated it 4/5 due to the rooftop pool which was a little dirty and really cold and the fact that the food and drinks are way too overpriced, meaning you have to head out of the hotel if you want a drink which is a shame as they have some lovely areas to sit and relax.
This is a very stunning, modern, sleek hotel in the charming city of Montecatini Terme. It is located within easy walking distance to several attractions. The large park is several blocks away and is worth the trip. When traveling Tuscany, this is an easy first stop, only 30 minutes from the Florence Airport, just off the Autostrata. A must visit while there is Montecatini Alto, via the funicular. This is a charming little village with great restaurants and shops. The hotel is ultra modern among the city's older buildings but is very comfortable and welcoming. The hostess who checked us in did an excellent job of showing us the hotel amenities and gave us some very good dining suggestions. Highly recommend!
The Hotel (part of a small chain, LHP) is deservedly highly rated. Whilst 5* Accomodation in Tuscany in August is never going to be cheap, the important question is whether it lives up to the promise? A lovely hotel building in a quiet but convenient part of town, refurbished at great expense some 4 years ago. The rooms are simple but executed with flair and quality; the air con effective and everything done with understated luxury. The service was friendly and helpful at all times and the breakfast generous and to expectations. We enjoyed the relaxed luxury of the rooftop pool with fabulous views. For the right price, what is there not too like about this lovely hotel? Nothing!
Our stay in hotel Montecatini palace was fantastic .. It is a great location if you have a car and wish to see Tuscany.. The hotel is extremely clean breakfast is excellent and service 5 star .. The Spa is super and treatments very welcome after a day of sightseeing.. I couldn't recommend it enough.. Also the management photos are exactly what you get true to photos ..
Stayed here for an impromptu night. No reply on the phone when trying to reach reception to enquire about booking, but swift and friendly reply going via online booking on their website. Beautiful façade in a neighbourhood full of hotels in an (old?) thermal hotspot, modern interior in black and white, lots of chrome and LED lights in white and blue. Room (Junior Suite) of acceptable size, balcony with an ugly view (courtyard backside). Very clean and neat. Breakfast buffet ok, nothing more, nothing less. Didn't use the restaurant, spa or (rooftop) swimming pool. Staff very efficient, lacking perhaps a bit in warmth, but this should not scare you off - it's like checking into any business hotel. If I'd suggest any changes, then these: ditch the room scents for the bedrooms, and raise the temp of your airco by about 2 degrees - 22 felt like freezing.
This hotel is quite exceptional, not only for its amenities but for its staff. Every need is catered for with a welcoming smile, from the porter, to the front desk to the breakfast room manager. We had a very quiet room with a small balcony on the fourth floor which was perfect for us.
Beautiful looking hotel, friendly staff, in a quiet location. The positives of this hotel are equal to the negatives. Positives are it has a lovely contemporary feel, in a quiet location with friendly staff. The negatives...I have never had such a small bathroom in a 5 star hotel, the tiniest sink with nowhere to put your toiletries, uncomfortably small. No water, unless you pay 4 euros from the mini bar, and no milk or milk powder for the complimentary coffee/tea station in the room and no decaf option. I find that very odd for the standard of hotel. Very little choice on the room service menu, unless you want a full meal, very little late night snacks or light bites. Picky this review maybe, but jus expected a little more after reading previous reviews. So if you want a good hotel this may be a good choice, if your looking for luxury/excellent maybe not a good choice.
Our tour group stayed here three nights, and I was generally well pleased. I was not too crazy about their breakfast buffet - adequate, but have had better elsewhere. The room was comfortable, the staff ostpitable, and it was the only place this trail where I was able to avail myself of a swimming pool. I am pleased to recommend this hotel.
