We just loved Baan Laimai !! We were a family of six that stayed in Baan Laimai from March 25th - April 5th. We had two deluxe pool view rooms with 3 beds in each. The rooms are big and nice and we felt very comfortable. I thought that the beds were a little bit hard but not everybody in the family agreed with me. The hotel garden is the best, great pool, not noicy and the waiters by the poolbar very nice. The hotel lobby is beautiful and all the staff very kind and helpful. Breakfast was fine and everybody can find something they like. The location could not have been better, just by the beach and close to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and if I return to Patong this is my first choice !! ps. the only thing I can complain about is the Wifi
A nice hotel with accommodating staff. Currently there is construction work taking place to the front of the hotel on the beach road. The pool and pool view/access rooms are at the farthest point away from the construction so the noise was minimal for our stay. The hotel was popular with families with young children, at least during our stay. If you want a nice relaxing lazy morning dozing in bed or reading a book then think again. Nothing more pleasurable from 7am hearing children screaming and shouting having fun in the pool 😃 The room is okay and met our needs, the positive having a small private deck with steps in to the pool. The maid service was excellent and the room very clean. Overall, an enjoyable stay. Would recommend for families and those who are deaf and/or early risers.
Had a great trip. Everything about the hotel was good. Location was easy and across the road from the beach. Staff were helpful. Quite expensive but all the other hotels seemed to be the same. Pool was great.
To start with positives... an old and famous resort right at Patong Beach. Very large and beautiful pool with a nice pool bar. Spacious rooms. Withing walking distance from Bangla street. Lobby is in a 'Soi' or if you like street so quiter from hustle bustle on beach road. All shows in city give free pick up. Breakfast is decent. Now areas to improve for guests to have better time... staff is either overwhelmed with work or is undertrained. Except some they do not serve you with smile or make you feel welcomed which was strangely in contrast to Thai hospitality. Pool steps to come out of water are loose. For namesake there are several Jacuzzi spots but only two are working so need fixing. Dont know how they can fix it now but for a huge resort, they have few elevators to go on higher floors so waiting time could be boring. Toilet flush in room 4301 is broken and they do prefer fixing it in make shift way rather replacing it. The supervisor was kind to give me one hour extension at check out in this otherwise very busy resort.
We have stayed at Baan Laimai 3 times now. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. It's situated opposite the beach and walking distance to everywhere. Every night there is entertainment the pool is fantastic.
Love the pool. It was big, clean, fun, had a bar and had jet bubbles at certain spot which is great to relax in. The location was convenient to get to Patong beach and plenty of street food and cafes and restaurants around. The room on the other hand just needed some TLC. The air conditioning only had one setting and one temperature, full blast freezer or non at all. The toilet didn't flush properly at times and made piping congestion noises. This was my second time here and I returned for the pool and the location. I wish a bit more attention to detail went into the room.
Great hotel across from the beach and within a short walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. Spacious rooms with all mod cons, great view of the pool from the balcony. The restaurant is great but both the restaurant and bar service is extremely slow with staff often standing around whilst guests waited to be served, with the exception of ‘Anu’ a friendly waiter who always checked we had been served. Only suggestion would be to include an iron in the rooms.
We like the swimming pool, which is clean and suitable for little kids. But for the room, air conditioner sounds loudly, especially at night. The hand sink has some problem, and the water is not easy to disappear. Mosquito is too much in the room, and we have been biten every night.
We recently stayed here for 7 nights with 30 of our family and friends to celebrate our wedding, rooms and staff were amazing and so accommodating! We spent so much time by the pool having a great time with everyone! We can’t wait to come back for another visit!
We stayed for one week and enjoyed the hotel. The hotel was in a great location near to everything close by and the room was clean and fresh. We were in room 8310 so we didn’t have a pool view and they were doing some maintenance work above so we could hear this in the morning and throughout the day if you were in your room, because we didn’t spend that much time in the room it didn’t bother us. Pool bar is overpriced for the drinks massively, the restaurant is nice on the front but again if your in one of the back rooms you can hear the band playing until 11pm which could be a problem from young families. Food was ok nothing exciting. Would stay again due to the location and how spacious the room was.
