This motel is a combination Studio 6 and Motel 6, which led to confusion when checking in as they were on two different systems. A lot of low lifes were in the parking lot, and there were people who were obviously living there. The pool was beautiful, but not aerated, so it was like swimming in bath water. Find somewhere else.

The lady at the front desk,Christal was very polite and answered all my questions. My room was very clean and beds were very comfortable! I love the pool (which is very clean) and the other staff was nice as well. I'm a traveling missionary so I appreciate all the small things about this hotel. Thank you for making it a memorable stay! God bless this hotel!

today is 5/23/17 i am in room 113. ive been coming to this hotel rooms for the past few days due to us being homeless with my fiance and dog. The manger David is a outgoing person and a hard business man. he hires people that are willing to work and are heart about the work they do. every person here who works here are extremely awesome. the place here is fabulous they make sure the place is up to date and looks like a apartments. thank you motel 6 for the great service

As someone who also works a front desk at a hotel, I was appalled at the experience I had at this Motel 6 that used to be a La Quinta. Check in went as well to be expected, no issues. However, it quickly went downhill when I returned to my room later in the evening. It's a long review, but I feel a story is the best way to explain my incredulous experience at this location. My dad went to blow his nose and noticed the tissue slot in the bathroom counter was empty. I searched around to see if the tissue box had moved, and I did not find a box - instead I found a used diabetic test strip with dried blood. Horrified (and I'm not even a germophobe), I went to the phone to let the front desk know and found that my phone was not working at all. Sighing, I walked down to the front desk to inform them of my three issues. I brought the strip down wrapped in toilet paper. I told the agent about it, he quickly snatched it off the counter out of sight. Okay. No apology. I mentioned the phone. "We just remodeled that wing, the phone should be working," he replied. I told him I tried two different jacks, tried all connections. He shrugged and told me that he couldn't fix it because he was by himself. "So if I need a wake-up call, I'm screwed?" I asked, since there was no alarm clock in the room and I needed to be up early for a conference. "Well, I can write down a wake-up time and someone can knock on your door, I guess." Nonplussed, I told him to forget about it, I'd just use the alarm on my cell phone. Then I asked him if I could at least get some facial tissue. He walks to the back and then returns with two rolls of toilet paper. I tell him no, I want facial tissue. "Oh, the stuff you blow your nose into?" he asks, dead serious. I blink, then nod. "Oh, we don't stock that anymore. When this used to be a La Quinta they did, but not anymore." I stared at him, dumbfounded, waiting for further response. Nothing. "Well gee, thanks for your hospitality," I said sarcastically, turning around to walk away. "You're welcome," he returns. Angry that this entire confrontation went horribly, I turned back around to the desk. I didn't want anything for free. At the very least, I wanted a working phone, I wanted facial tissue, I wanted at least an apology for the inconveniences that I experiences, ESPECIALLY for the biohazard that was the bloody test strip. I received none of that, not one single pang of empathy for my situation. As a hotel agent myself, I would have handled this very differently. When I approached him again, I told him as much. He shrugged again. "I can offer you a discount for the test strip, but I have to ask my general manager and he's not in right now." Still no apology. I tell him fine, whatever, and storm back up to my room. He appears 20 minutes later at my door, new telephone in hand. Of course, he finds it's not a problem with the telephone, the entire wing of the motel has bad telephone wiring and there's nothing he can do about it. I wasn't even offered a room change. But... there was that discount he offered. I gave him my card and he handed me the refund receipt - a whopping $8 off my $80 room rate. Yes... I did finally get a softly muttered "sorry for that" at the very end of our interaction. Icing on the cake: my dad went down later that evening to request a late check out. "Oh, we don't offer that anymore." Imagine that. These are the major issues of the many others I encountered at this location. I will never return and I urge others not to as well.

I'm struggling because I don't want to give a star rating at all. I don't have a choice, I have to pick at least one. As I read these reviews and looked at the pictures of this hotel and others around it we choose this location based on information that I truly question is accurate. I was saddened by the cleanliness of the room, the bathroom, the floors, the ring around the toilet and the bugs that would come up around the sink when turning on the water. The sink wouldn't drain so I asked to have it fixed, which was fixed. The towels in the bathroom should be rags because they don't dry you they're the after shower wash cloth if you missed a spot of dirt you can use them to touch up. The bathroom fan cover was hanging down from the ceiling not fully attached and very dirty. The bathroom was gross!! The beds were ok, but the bed skirt around it probably has been there since the place was built, very disgusting!!! The wall outlets didn't have the correct covers over them, are they OSHA approved for someone to be utilizing them? Please be careful, so you don't get a shock!! The corners of the room had cobwebs and dirt and didn't look like it hadn't been touched for some time. The last day we were there they never came to the room and did anything!! Now I'm very compassionate and I wouldn't open the doors to the homeless that loom the streets around this hotel. It's sad they have to live this way, but that's life! The smoking isn't even private, which I don't do, but those that do share it with you in the hallways and the sent of it in the room. The chairs around the pool look like they haven't been cleaned since, oh let's stay since it opened, the lounge chair cushions had stains on them from who knows what. There were a few kids playing in the pool, parents don't let them who knows what's growing in it and the hot tube wasn't much better! This should've been closed for cleaning, permanently!! Did you think that could be a deal breaker for guests? The workout room was so small why even say you have one? Create a nook for coffee might be best but I'm not sure coffee is even available, more like mud. It's truly sad that Motel 6, by the way I believe is a very nice company, doesn't go in here and level it and start over. Guests if you want cheap this isn't even your location, let's be honest!?! I will say the front desk people were very nice and helpful, that would be the one only bright star that I can give! Management Team and Owners, I get that you want to make money, but is this how you continue to grow your business? People don't deserve to be treated this way, it may be cheap but very gross and disgusting doesn't get the dollar coming back, it sends it else where! We'll never be back unless you can show to all it's been fixed...

In the past 4 years, while this was a La Quinta, we loved our stay here for 5+ nights. We learned last year that it was converting to a Motel 6. We stayed here 1 night only this year to see how this place is doing under the new brand. So, as a Motel 6 property, here are the things that are gone: hair dryer, iron/ironing board, free breakfast, decent towels, customer loyalty/rewards program. Their motto must be "We don't care if you are here, and it shows.". We checked in at 3 pm on a Monday. We wanted a second floor room. There were none clean/available. We settled for a room on the first floor that was on the backside of the hotel. Of course, the person above us must have had an early flight. I could hear them get up at 3:45 am, take a shower, shlep their bag down the steps, and start their car parked outside our room window, and leave around 4:30 am. Exactly why I wanted a second floor room here. In our room, the refrigerator and alarm clock were unplugged. I guess they are trying to save a few bucks on electicity here. You get a small sliver of soap. No shampoo or lotion. Bath towels are small and thin. Bed pillows are thin. I expect the La Quinta furnishings will continue to deteriorate/disappear as time goes on. We spent the late afternoon around the pool. The housekeeping staff continued to roll until 6 pm. That is pretty annoying when you are relaxing for the afternoon and have the clatter of the staff trying to get their work finished. There is a "Now Hiring" banner at the entrance, so maybe this property is having difficulty keeping good staff. I went to the lobby around 9 pm to print our boarding passes. The desk clerk wasn't sure about the username and password for the WiFi. She mumbled something about "not being very good with computers." So, bottom line is, bring low expectations when you book here. It will be as good as any other Motel 6. "Extended Stay" is bogus. Sadly, we won't be coming back.

tattered, filthy carpet both in room and in hallway. literally piles of garbage bags in hallway for more than 12 hours. non-smoking room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. definitely a hooker walking through parking lot.

This hotel started out badly when the entrance could not hold a car parking and one driving through; and the rude guest checking in in front of me left his truck with the door open right at the beginning of the driveway while his guest sat the whole 10 minutes I waited brushing her teeth! Maybe she could not drive? Then I got registered and went up 2 floors to my room to have the Maid say she was told to give it to another guest. So back to the front desk for another 10 minute wait to get my new room which was on the totally other side of the hotel again up 2 floors with plant vines literally growing in front of the entrance. Should have brought shears! So I had to drag what I brought up to the first room all the way to the other side of the motel to my new room and move my car and get the rest of my baggage. Plus the card I received did not work well in the outside door; someone had to let me in. This took all of 45 minutes total! After going to baseball I finally was thrilled to relax in my room, however the TV did not work. Oh it's the batteries in the remote the front desk said, so a nice employee brought up batteries which of course were not the answer. Tv did not work! The employee left and did not hear from him again. So I have spent $120 for a faulty room and horrific service and cannot even relax with television. I cannot wait until the morning to be out of here. I love writing reviews and they are usually happy; this is a nightmare I cannot escape! So now all I can do is stare at the walls; if the room was cleaner and nicer, I could fall asleep! There is wifi but very slow loading. Refund please!

I upgraded to a king size bed (deluxe). I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The door on closet was messed up. But overall I would stay here again. TV worked and I had a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast is NOT served as stated on the front page. Nice pool and staff was very nice. This is close to Scottsdale Stadium.

The room was dirty, with hairs and marks on the bedspread. Not even a waste basket was provided. Sloppy care of the property overall. The positive aspects are distance to airport and the surprisingly well cared-for patio.
