Check-in was easy. The house had plenty of space for us, but lacked a few basics like drinking cups, wash cloths, kitchen towels and facial tissue. It was also in need of a deep clean. The pool is not heated and the fountain was broken. The fridge made a lot of noise and the toilet in the master bath ran constantly. It’s in a great location in a nice and quiet neighborhood.

The home was overall not in great condition. Due to plane delays we arrived at 11:30pm and found the master toilet leaking with water on the floor. There was a cup behind the toilet placed to catch the leak but it was completely full and flowing over. We adjusted the float of the toilet and cleaned the mess. We realized from the damaged to the baseboard and lower wall this was not the first time the toilet had flooded. The toilet continued to have issues with the handle sticking and we contacted the host about it. That same night we realized the master bath and bedroom had only a few working outlets. We tried to reset GFI's and find a breaker box that night but tired went to bed. The next morning we contacted the host about it. They told us to do what we had already tried. We told them we had not access to the garage where we assumed the breaker box was. We had to leave the house before they replied back to us where the breaker box was and that the GFI for the master rooms were in the Kitchen area (which didn't make any sense). After returning home later that evening we did get most of the outlets to work with the reset. The hot water was another issue, it took around 10 minutes for it to get to the master bathroom sinks or shower. The carpet throughout the home was very old and stained - the outdoor area was not kept up - pool area dirty. There were not the usual household items/supplies at other VRBOs. Will not reserve here again.

Avondale home

Perfect for families. The home is spacious and clean. Had all the amenities we needed. Great distance from Camelback ranch. Definitely recommend home for anyone looking for place to stay in the area. The host was wonderful and answered all my questions timely.
