Stayed at La Flora for 8 nights with my husband. What fantastic hotel! Great location on the beach which was pristine clean. Lots of places to eat very nearby.Great helpful friendly staff. Our room was lovely clean and well maintained over looking one of the swimming pools. It was cleaned every day to high standards. The breakfast was fantastic something for everyone. We also had lunch a couple of times which good and value for money. My husband organised a romantic meal on the beach which was fantastic with lovely food. We also used the spa and would recommend it. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if we ever go back to Kho Lak will definitely definitely stay there again.
We stayed at La Flora for part of our honeymoon unfortunately due to family issues we had to take our son which to us was not a problem he had a great time we booked a swim up room which inside was lovely and we could not fault it, apart from the decking area which is completely rotten and falling apart my husbands foot went though it cutting his foot resulting in not being able to wear flip flops due to the cut, this happened on our first night the reception called us at 22.00 at night waking us all up after a long 25 hour travel which my husband told them we are in bed it’s late we’re tired please don’t call this late guess what 30 mins later they phoned back waking us all up again to tell us it would be fixed in the morning there was no point as it was not repaired for two days, the pool was lovely the staff were great we ate a few times in the restaurant and really enjoyed it,
We stayed here for a week in the middle of November and from the minute we arrived we loved the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming when we checked in. We were walked to our room (812 - swim up room - definitely recommended!) and luggage brought for us. We upgraded to a swim up based on these reviews and were not disappointed. Our room got sun for the majority of the day and was beautifully decorated and furnished. We loved having the option of staying by our room or moving to the beach/main pool. I can't recommend this hotel enough - the grounds are stunning, pools and beach scenery are beautiful...I honestly don't have enough adjectives to describe this place. I was so disappointed to leave and would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat (which isn't something I normally say!) My only slight criticism was our air con unit was quite loud so we turned this down low during the night. Not really a problem but maybe these could be updated at some point. It didn't affect our holiday though! We can't wait to visit again sometime in the future, thank you for a wonderful stay.
This hotel exceeded expectations. We had a poolside room which was like a little bit of heaven. The beach was beautiful. We went at the tail end of the wet season - late October/early November - and had good weather and a calm sea so swimming in the warm sea was a joy. The hotel is just a few minutes walk away from some great restaurants and pleasant bars. The resort itself is lively without being rowdy. Breakfasts were excellent - good choice of Western and Thai food. Staff were lovely and went to a lot of trouble especially on their BBQ nights on the beach. Seems a very happy ship. Would definitely go back.
Big and good hotel. A lot of really nice geckos in the resort. Good pools and direct located at the beach. The rooms are big. Breakfast is good. Price level is not really cheap (but you pay for the beach package). The staff is partly speaking German as well. For a next visit we would maybe make the same hotel choice again.
We have nothing but praise for this hotel and the people who work there who work very hard to make sure you have as good an experience as you can. We were welcomed into reception and given a cold drink and towel, both were needed after the 75 mile trip from Phuket airport. The rooms are of a good size and cleaned every day. The bar and restaurant are virtually on the beech and the food is of a really good standard. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Our holiday was marred by my sister dislocating her hip not once but twice so she had to be transferred to Phuket for a big portion of the holiday. I mention this only to praise in particular one of the hotels reception staff who was quite simply amazing, speaking to the hospital, arranging transfers, making phone calls on our behalf etc. Many thanks Maylin, your help helped us through a very difficult situation.
We stayed here for 9 nights , the beach area was very crowded with little space between beds . There is a large pool area , but the one pool is mainly for pool access rooms and there’s not many beds . We were originally given rooms 315 & 316 , these are on the ground floor and the door opens onto the main path from reception and we’re very small and uncomfortable. The rooms were changed without fuss ,these were bigger and in a better position. Breakfast was superb , loads of choices from breads , fresh fruit , local Thai food , egg station etc . There is no real bar area which is a shame , but it’s close to lots of excellent local bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay , but would perhaps look at another resort if we were to return .
Just returned from our 5th visit in 7 years to La Flora and again had a wonderful time. what can i say that has not been said before but for me it is about the "feel" of the place. The staff really care and welcomed us like old friends and it is them that provide the overall experience. Had a swim up room this time which was great but did present the only issue we had which was noisy teenagers diving off the bridge in front of our room which did detract at times for the relaxing ambience. however overall we loved it and hope to return again soon.
We had the basic room and had no issues at all... Always cleaned, fresh towels (which were nice and fluffy!!) and the breakfast was amazing. Something for everyone, we had lunch one day which was also fab... Perfectly situated near to restaurants and bars. Couldn't fault our 9 nights apart from I didn't want to leave!!
Something about this gem of a resort that we keep coming back.Lovely to see all the lovely staff.Even in low season most of the restaurant are open.Little bit of mantaness going on but we don't mind.Beach lovely as ever.
