The poorest Hotel we have stopped in. No more than a 2 Star. Good Location that is all I can say is good about this hotel. The rooms are nice but have awful balconies with no sun with old fashioned noisy air conditioning units , all overlooking each other. The pool areas are so poor piece of grass/dirt in front of the pool and bar area. Bar and Towel Hut and out door shower all in very bad dis repair. The Towels are thread bear and some have holes in them We was there in May which is the quiet season the staff more or less outnumbered the guests and yet we was never once asked if we would like a drink. When you did come to order a drink it was like you was intruding on there social life. yet empty glassed and discarded plates are just left there all day ashtrays not emptied.whilst the staff seem to group together for a natter for most the day. Beware of the so called Happy Hour that was advertised everywhere, as we checked that it was happy hour and ordered Jack Daniels we then re checked that it was still happy hour and ordered 2 more to be given a bill for over £30 for them. They then told us that Jack Daniels is not included in Happy Hour. I was so disappointed in this hotel luckily we only stayed there for 7 nights but felt like it was far too many.
Just spent 8 nights here after staying in Bangkok ,the rooms are spacious , beds comfortable, breakfast was varied, lunchtime Barbecue was reassembly priced we never had evening meals as we used nearby restaurants Which are numerous, bar at night was fairly quiet, and we found more life outside As we went out we did’nt bond with the staff like you do in all inclusive resort , but found the reception staff very helpful when the kettle and safe stopped working and a new kettle and batteries were brought up almost immediately Overall a very pleasant stay.
Nice dinner, beautiful sunset watching the rain come in. Meals were good, more expensive then other restaurants in the area, but for a nice night out with a view of the beach it was nice and something different.
Had a fabulous time at this hotel over Easter 2018. Stayed in a pool acces room, very nice indeed. The service was second to none, the staff really could not do enough for you. Great food in the hotel, only a short walk to local restaurants which were really good value for money. Highly recommend booking tours through the hotel - we went on several and were lucky enough to have Mr King Kong as our tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and keen to take us to the best places. Particularly recommend the James Bond Island tour. Khao Lak itself is lovely, not at all spoilt by mass tourism, a beautiful place that I would love to return to some day.
We got a fantastic price online booking on the day and had a lovely room. The staff are great, breakfasts were excellent, lovely pools and a decent gym which was always empty. We treated ourselves to a meal on the beach with the sand between our toes and the sun setting. For a five star the meal was only 20% more than you would pay anywhere else in Khao Lak, they even do half price wine. We had friends who paid the same price for a room in a hostel. First class hotel for a budget price if you can get a deal. All the other guests were Germans on package deals, so I think they were just keen to fill whatever was left. They were very nice to us.
Stayed here with friends hotel is old and in need off refurbishment but is still ok rooms are very clean as is the hotel, staff are very efficient especially the receptionists. we stayed on a b&b status which was good the breakfast is plentiful and has everything you can think off.one quick mention to the manager off the breakfast room he is so polite and never stops working a great asset to the hotel. we were here in the low season and found sunbeds around the pool every time we needed them but i would say in high season you would have to get up very early to stake your claim on beds. The hotel is in a good place and has happy hours 3-4 times a day at different bars this was annoying as if you were at one pool and happy hour was at the other pool bar you had to go there for your drink (probably a good idea to have happy hour at both pools at the same time?)also be carful what you order as all drinks were not in happy hour which we found very strange ie Jim bean & coke 260 bart was but jack daniels & coke 260 bart was not included in happy hour neither were large bottles off beer? we done a private tour to the james bond island with picket travel which was great value.
This hotel is ok if you like rows and rows of beds placed very close together on the beach area, and you have to be up very early to get a front one,no idea when the Germans sleep. We were on the second floor it has many steps and no lift a problem if you are a little older the garden area looks unkept and nothing like any pictures shown on Webb site, the staff well some of them ok but overall a bit on the personal side and very pushy,no one appears to be supervising them and none have much in the way of experience. The place is tired looking and needs improvement, the breakfast is ok if you like flies with your food lots of food left uncovered. The bedroom was clean andwell cared for . Not much to see and unless you do BBQ boat rides to small islands, there is a local market with usual fakes and there are plenty of bars and restaurants but it's Thia food for the visitors not the locals,I am telling this as it was for us as three people had recommended this Hotel but they had been there over a few years ago we would definitely not go back
Its a nice Hotel at the beach from Khao Lak. The food in the Beach-Front-Restaurant is very good. Breakfast is like a brunch, because they have except the typically breakfast every day also warm Thai-Food with Rice, Chicken, Beef etc. The pool is fantastic. At the beach the sunbeds are in 3 rowes and you have not so much place beetween the sunbeds, but its ok...you find everytime a place there. The stuff is very friendly. In the evening you have a lot of oppurtunitys for dinner in the nearest surroundings. Our recommendation is the "Thai Corner" (approximetily 500 meters away). In this Restaurant you get really good Thai food. At one evening we testet also the Dinner in the Hotel, because they give us a voucher for a free Dinner. It was also a good buffet with entertainment. We payed only the Drinks. The rooms are big and comfortably, especially the beds are really big size. You have to be carful with the toilet. Normaly its not allowed to throw paper in the toilet. We did it, because its really unhycienic to dispose the used toilet-paper in a Trashcan. So we had a clogged toilet. The roommate coud solve the Problem quickly, but it was not enjoyable for us.
wwowwww this hotel is great! it was the best hotel in our vacation! we took the pool access room and it was great! the food, the stuff, the pool and the beach is great. the hotel is very close to the night market! don't take a taxi because agter 2 minutes walk we find that the end of the market is very close!
The worst experience in my life! The staff was very unprofessional. The hairdryer they had in the room exploded in my hand. Luckily I was not injured but I haven't got any kind of apology! After waiting for 30 minutes for someone to check out on us all they did was to bring a new hairdryer and leave. Would not recommend it.
