Great location and property!

We loved the cabin on Walloon Lake! It was as described and the hosts were great! You can’t beat the location and relaxing atmosphere!

We really enjoyed the quaint & peaceful cabin. The lake is amazing and enjoyed kayaking. Great place. Hope to someday return.

Great vacation spot

Jane and Bill were very nice. The cabin and view were extremely cozy and beautiful. The weather was gorgeous. Highly recommend!

It really is a 10/10 property! Repeat visitor, 3rd stay

This is my 3rd visit to Jane and Bill's historic log cabin. It really is a 5-star stay. The cabin is beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated, with a great location. Jane and Bill are fantastic hosts. Wish I could have stayed longer, will be booking again!

Wonderful cabin on the lake

This is a wonderful property and so charming. The cabin gives you the true northern michigan feel and Walloon Lake is spectacular. The owners of the property were so accommodating and very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Cabin

We loved every moment of our stay at this quaint log cabin on beautiful Walloon Lake. Quiet and thoughtfully appointed, it is perfectly located near many of northern Michigan’s prettiest towns. Thank you Jane and Bill!

Beautiful Vintage Cabin

This was a fantastic place to stay, and we had a wonderful time! The cabin is beautiful, and sleeps 4 adults very comfortably, with two adults in the loft area. Our host was wonderful and very accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better location or experience on Walloon. Will definitely be booking this again!

Faire Glade

We had an amazing time in the cottage ! The drive through the tree canopy up to the cottage was like a fairy tale and my wife just loved it ! The property is very private and just the place for getting away ! Although the cabin dates from the 1800's, it has the modern conveniences. The lake is just a few steps away right and the view from the patio and bedroom is stunning. We hope to have many repeat visits.

Heaven on Earth!

This place is amazing! Just what we needed to decompress from our hectic lives! We love the historic charm! Perfect for two people, but equip for 4. The grounds are beautiful and the waterfront is pristine. They also have a really nice new dock. Centrally located to great restaurants, shopping and wineries. We did not want to leave! Jane and Bill are gracious hosts and always asked if there was anything we needed. We hope we will be able to come back and stay a bit longer!

The perfect getaway

This little cabin is just perfect in every way - starting with lovely hosts who thought of every detail to make a wonderful experience for us. The setting is one of a kind - very small but very grand! Loved all of it.

Spectacular & Peaceful

Normally when you look for a property that has all 5 star reviews a little skepticism sets in because it’s so difficult to be perfect . However this little gem on the lake exceeded all of our expectations!! This little log cabin is cozy , comfy , & tastefully decorated . It was like stepping back in time with just enough modern amenities to satisfy .Everything you could possibly need is provided including the firewood for the beautiful stone fireplace. It was so relaxing , and we only saw our hosts when we checked in and checked out , which was really nice . They are so very friendly & gracious , and down to earth. The location couldn’t be any better . Out on the lake and very secluded , yet within 10-15 minutes of really great restaurants , and golf is just a few minutes away. Did I mention that there is excellent wifi ? Overall we would rate it higher than 5 stars if we could . Thank you to our hosts for this beautifully preserved log cabin with every amenity that you could need .

Charming cottage

It was a privilege to stay in this historic, perfectly updated and maintained cottage situated right on the lake. It has the modern amenities you need with lots of rustic charm. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming. The location is ideal for a variety of activities. The cabin itself was a perfect size for our family of four. We had a wonderful stay!

Sweet in every way, special gem

Beautiful spot, welcoming hosts were absolutely wonderful, cabin couldn’t have been any sweeter, gorgeous flowers, comfy bedding, storybook setting, lake was clean and gorgeous. Private dock was perfect for swimming and watching the sunsets. Rejuvenation achieved 😊

Walloon Perfection

Our stay here was absolutely perfect! Everything about this little cottage is straight out of a fairytale. As you drive up to the cottage, you feel like you are entering the enchanted forest. The exterior and landscaping are done to perfection, and attention has been paid to every detail inside, as well. There is charm and whimsy everywhere you look, and you will want for nothing as the kitchen and cottage are well-stocked with anything you might need for your stay. The front lawn was nice and level to access gorgeous Walloon, and the dock was perfect for tying up our pontoon. The owners are wonderful, and it was so nice to chat with them and learn about the history of the cottage. We feel very lucky to have had the privilege of staying in a cottage that is such an important piece of Walloon history. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Wonderful family vacation

We just returned from this little cabin on Lake Walloon. What a great trip! This was our first family vacation with our 4-year-old, and it was everything we hoped for. The cabin was the perfect size for our little family of three. It was cozy, rustic, but had everything we could possibly need. I can’t say enough about the beautiful setting - the lake is crystal clear, sandy, and the perfect depth to play in with a toddler (and surprisingly quiet for such a large lake, which made my triathlon training husband happy during morning swims). We loved how quiet and peaceful it was, and yet, it was only a short 5 minute drive to town. The hosts are so sweet and thoughtful, which was just the icing on top. We will absolutely stay here again if we come back to Petoskey.

Picturesque setting for this comfy cottage

Our stay was perfect. My wife and I stayed here for a week and enjoyed every day. There is a private dock for access to Walloon lake that we used with the boat we rented. The water is crystal clear and the cottage is super comfortable. We used the charcoal grill to barbeque a few nights and the kitchen has everything you need for meals. The queen bed is super comfortable and the washer and dryer were handy for mid week laundry. The best part of the visit was our hosts who were gracious and helpful with any request we had.

Walloon Lake

We enjoyed our stay on Walloon Lake. The cabin was very cute and had everything we needed for our stay there. The owners live next door and were happy to answer any questions we had. The cabin is close to several cities with good restaurants, golf, and wineries. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic

We loved this place. It’s truly a gem. The location of this cottage cannot be better. Not only it’s directly on the lake , it’s close to other beaches and attractions. There is so much to do. Cottage has everything you need. Owners go far beyond the expectation. We are definitely coming back.
