Highest Recommendation

If it were only for the spacious, beautifully appointed room with a balcony to watch the sunrise over the Pacific, we’d recommend staying here. If it were only for the incredible lanai featuring a hot tub and a relaxing pool, we’d say go for it. If it were only for Rick and Faith’s warm welcome, infinite resources for ways to spend your time on the island, and bountiful homemade breakfast each morning, we’d say come to enjoy their five star service. Put all that together, combined with a relaxing, away-from-it-all location, and we implore you to make Moana Pali your home away from home on the east side of Big Island!

Staying here was the highlight of our trip. The hosts were incredible, gave us wonderful local tips, and were fun to get to know while they served us plate after plate of delicious homemade breakfast each morning. We love Moana Pali house!

Home Away from Home!

Rick and Faith were warm, welcoming, and so pleasant to be around! They prepared a full breakfast all three days that we were there and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay, including snorkeling gear and beach towels. Rick and Faith also have a lot of ties in the Big Island and are extremely knowledgeable about the geography, local culture, and history. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home!

Our most amazing experience

Our stay in the Big Island wouldn’t have been the same without staying at Moana Pali House! The house is gorgeous, well decorated in the Hawaiian style, with a beautiful view on the ocean. There is a hot tube and a pool that the guests can enjoy anytime. Bedrooms are huge, extremely clean, fully equipped and very comfortable. Faith and Rich have been so nice to us. They offer a really good home-made breakfast with fruits, juices, pie, pancakes,... We highly recommend to stay there if you want to enjoy the Big Island East Coast (near Hilo) in a quiet and beautiful environment!
