Stayed here with my 13 year old son for the Field of Dreams baseball tournament in Dyersville. Loved it. Would give it 5 stars except for the following:1. Music from the hair salon below, especially bass frequencies, is pretty audible in the room particularly when you’re trying to sleep. Music started around 7:30 am our first day there, a Friday morning. No problem. Good actually. It helped us wake up. However, the music went all Friday night from when we got back around 9pm in the evening and continued until after 7am Saturday morning. Kind of annoying because we really couldn’t sleep. Never could find out if there were people down there listening all night or they just left it on when they closed for the night. Messaged the host about it. Never heard back. So if you’re a light sleeper, consider that. 2. On the sleeping note: the bunk beds are cool but there’s really not a mattress. Just sort of a thin pad. And no sheets, just the mattress cover and a comforter. And the pillows are like what they might give you in economy class on a commercial airline. Combined with the music, not a great sleeping setup. 3. The entry doors are flimsy and could be easily forced open even when locked (we didn’t try to force them open of course, it’s just noticeable). Worse, they are glass with no curtains. So you can see from outside into the room, including the beds. Not a problem for a dad and teenage son who don’t care about privacy. But it would have creeped out my wife and daughters.
