We booked just a regular room and lucked out with the Old Kitchen room. It was amazing. We had a private hot tub to use and just an overall comfortable room. The bed was great and the AC was even better. The staff is amazing and goes out of their way for you. The mansion is a must stay just beware that the hawker next door is very noisy but stops around midnight. We ate there and it was fabulous. The breakfast at the old mansion is way better than any standard free breakfast I’ve gotten anywhere else. My husband and I agree that was hands down the best hotel while we visited Malaysia.
This hotel is wonderful! It is a piece of history that is impeccably restored with a terrific vibe. The hotel tour is included in your stay and it gives you a good idea of the man who created the place and all the detail that went into it. So glad we stayed here - a wonderful memory.
