AA is an older hotel and would have been top notch in it's hey day. I heard the King stayed there once years ago.? It has a nice pool up on 4th floor overlooking the bay, that is just over the road. Very well situated to beach, shopping and entertainment. I stay there whenever I go and visit to Pattaya.. :) If you don't need a 5 star hotel, it is great.

Hotel good location but needs to improve

The hotel is rather old and not kept up well. Rooms are 'clean' but have cockroaches and other bugs which is not quite uncommon for Thailand for a hotel with a price as this one. What was the worst though is that the pool is not kept up. There are sharp corners and broken tiles all over inside the pool. My friend cut his foot pretty bad one one. My daughter hit a corner and had a scratch on her chest. Location of this hotel is great if you want to be in the center of Pattaya craziness and right on the beach.

Great Location, Value for Money.... I'll Be Back!

Compared to other Hotels around the Central Beach area for the same price the AA Hotel has the edge. It's just far enough away from the busy, noisey places to be quiet and comfortable for a good nights sleep yet only a short walk to the Walking street, great bars and Authentic Thai eateries, (On second Street). Being located on the Beach road was a plus, it's great to sit around the pool located on the 4th floor and watch the hussle and bussle on the street below. I was there for the Loy Krathong Festival and the view of the fireworks from there was spectacular! The Rooms are old and a little shabby but clean and comfortable, the bed was moderately firm and good pillows. I always had hot water although if showering later in the morning sometimes just warm. The rooms are serviced daily with clean towels and linen. The bottled drinking water is free however the friendly cleaning staff seem reluctant to provide it dispite me asking. I just bought large bottles of water from 7/11 just up the street. Most of the staff were pleasant enough when I first arrived however as I stayed for 2 weeks I think the novelty wore off and would quite often just ignor me or hand me my keys with a half hearted smile. Definately can't complain for the price and would stay again if I return again.

Old, but good location

Its got a decent small pool with a view of the beach across the road.rooms are old, everything is worn, but the staff is decent and the location is good. I like it for an inexpensive property.

Great location but the worst wifi

The best feature of this hotel is location. The beach is just across the street. All the bars and massage parlors and shopping malls are so close within 5 minute walk. Staff are doing a pretty good job with customer service. The bathroom is the bad part of the room...bathtub is leaking water into floor when taking a shower. Bed is king size and comfortable even for cheapest room. The swimming pool on 4th floor even though small but gives a great view of the beach. The worst part of this hotel is wifi connection and it is really horrible. Internet will be on for a minute then off for few minutes and that happens all day long up to almost midnight. I couldn't get on the wifi for almost 3 hours from 8pm to 11:30 pm. Complained to staff about this and they said so many customers already had complained but that was just the way it was. They said unreliable wifi connection was the norm at the hotel because so many hotel guests used the internet at same time!!!

Great location budget hotel

Location is fantastic. Very old hotel that badly needs maintenance. Lots of pool tiles missing off the pool. No hair dryer or tea and coffee in room. Very run down.

A nice hotel to stay

AA hotel is situated right across Pattaya Beach. From the window of the room I could see waves lashing at the sand and the sound of waves when high tide is there. A lovely hotel- where the staff is also pleasant and cooperative- food at the hotel is also nice. I stayed there only for two nights, but i wanted to stay more, but due to tight business schedule, i could not extend my stay for more days. Would definitely recommend all my friends who goes to Pattaya about this hotel.

Super location on Beach Road

The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly - from front desk to the maids. The rooms are large, but somewhat dated. They are maintained well though. The location is right on Beach Road and only a few minutes walk away from Walking Street, but far enough away to avoid all the noise there all night. The pool on the 4th floor is nice, overlooking the water,and a perfect place to relax in the evening when the sun is going down. The location and price makes it a favorite of mine.

Good place to stay

Great position, close to beach and nightlife. Reception staff very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is old and needs some refurbishment but is clean and comfortable at times the airconditioning can become a little cold. The meals served are tasty and inexpensive.
