The hotel is beautifully designed. The pool was not what I would call heated, but it didn't stop the kids from enjoying it. A big disappointment was the lack of dining options. Everything closed by 11pm and the menus were limited to just a handful of options for all meals. Fortunately, there were a few delivery places that were open late. We were there over the Labor Day weekend so I don't know if food is more available during the ski season or not. I felt the hallways were dark and dingy in the Uinta building and could be more welcoming. I was fortunate to have a bunch of Orbitz bucks and a birthday discount that made the price reasonable. I would never pay the regular price for what was an average room with a gas fireplace.

Spacious condos, great location at a terrific price.

Accommodations great. Staff friendly. Would be nice to have been informed about different things to do in the area. A full-service Spa would be beneficial.

Hotel was beautiful, staff very pleasant. Rooms need full length mirror, as well as mirror outside bathroom for additional dressing. Ice needs to be available in buildings instead of by room service. Staff was very pleasant, although our luggage was delayed, an item broken and not replaced, and basic info over phone not available/didn't know. Convenience (ski in/out) a plus. Hot tub/pool outstanding.

excellent food, great gym and spa.hot tub is just right and staff are incredibly friendly polite helpful and knowledgable.made our resturant reservations easy and superb choices. I will definitly go back there.

Staff was great. Wished the property had a working resturant (coming Dec 2011) on-site. The Canyons had plenty of dinning options within walking distance. Location was perfect. Free public transportation into Park City was great. If you stay late for dinner and drinks in the city and need a cab the cab fees are not metered but negotiated. Umbrella Bar was a Great Hangout after a day of runs on the mountain. Staff was fun and helpful.

Wonderful hotel and great upgrade. The only problem was that [...] we had to pay an additional $20 per day resort fee. To me, a fee is a fee and should have been inclusive.

Great loacation for winter vacations. When it comes to summer There is not much to do. During summer the resturants at Canyons Resort seem to be closed for the season. YOu must drive to Park City proper or to Kimball junction to eat. At night that is fine but at 8 am i just wanted eggs and bacon. Once we were settled the stay was great, quiet and friendly staff.

Overall the hotel was good to very good. Two bedroom suite with full kitchen and family area was well layed out. It was plenty for our party of three adults and 1 child. Staff was very pleasant but sometimes the information that they gave regarding things to do and restaurants went from a little off to just plain wrong. The hotel has a small provisions area for coffee and other food items that is open from 7- 11. A restaurant is scheduled to open soon.

The staff went above and beyond always.......we called looking for some snacks around midnight and although they didnt have vending machines....they offered to send one of their employees into the closed store....pick up snacks for us and bring them to our room! Amazing service!!!

No downside, Very comfortable, very enjoyable.

We skied at Canyons. Access to the lift is easy. The hotel itself is nearly brand new, the hot tub and pool are excellent. THe only thing it is currently missing is a restaurant. Not such a big deal though since the valet will drive you to the Grand Summit and the other hotels for dinning if you request it. A restaurant looks like it will be under construction at the end of this season (so this month. Again, the rooms are excellent here. They include a european style and feature a gas log, a sink, and a sub zero refrigerator.

The property was immaculate and our 1 bdrm suite was VERY spacious and incredible romantic with 2 fireplaces and huge jacuzzi (sp?) tub.

We decided to go to Park City this year for our annual snowboarding/ski trip! We stayed at the Escala Lodge in the Canyons Resort. Our 1 bedroom suite was awsome! The kitchen was equipped with granite, stainless steel appliances, a Wolf range and wine cooler! The furnishings were perfect and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub! The negative is that the resort is still being built and there is no restaurant/room service or spa. It is a $15 dollar cab ride to Park City. If you go during Sundance, make sure you book your restaurant reservations well in advance. The Canyons are building a lot right now and I expect the resort will be more of a destination in the coming years.

The room "condo" was large and cozy. Great for cooking, laundry and hosting "get-togethers". It had all the cookware and supplies needed to make yourself meals, and of course a great wine chiller. Two fireplaces, dining room, breakfast bar, two bathrooms. It was queit while we were there, but that was because it was the off season. The staff was friendly, however house cleaning needs some work. No matter if we called or had the "cleaning" sign out, it was a hassle to get cleaning to take care of our room. We were left without towels one day, no service until 5 pm another day ( after calling for it, and we were the only ones there), etc. Great underground parking. We did the deluxe 1 Bdr, which is more like a condo. Easily fits four adults. Overall a very nice facility.

One of the best hotels I have ever been. The room and the kitchen was huge. We have felt as comfortable there that we were even lazy on going to ski, our main purpose on this trip.

The entire reason for our stay was for a family vacation. The accomodations were first rate and the place is very beautiful. I am sure that it will be even better when the ski lifts eventually open. You can pick up groceries at Whole Foods and cook to your heart's desire in the gourmet kitchen. Bring your ipod, some DVDs and a few romantic candles.

The rooms were spectacular, the location is great - ski in ski out. The staff could not have been better. We loved everythign about it and would go back. However, in a low snow year such as this for the Canyons, the resort runs snow making equipment all night long. They can be very loud. Bring earplugs, there is nothing the hotel can do about it.
