We had issues with host communications from the very beginning of booking. I sent 4 messages to the host through VRBO starting on 09/12 through the night before our reservation. I had to contact VRBO customer service by phone on 10/29 as well as 11/9 because the host had not replied to any messages. We did not receive check in instructions or any communication from the host until 10.5 hours before our check in and that was AFTER the VRBO customer service representative reached out to the host multiple times and emailed to say they needed to provide check in details. They also found it concerning we had received no response from the host leading up to the reservation. Upon arrival, the property seemed true to the listing. The amenities were pretty bare, as described, and there is no oven despite being listed. The apartment was moderately clean and had decent accessibility to surrounding neighborhoods. The listing does advertise it is on the 3rd floor, but please note it is only accessible by narrow spiral staircase. Anyone with large/heavy bags or mobility issues may struggle as much as we did getting up and down the stairs. The biggest issue was that the sofa bed (advertised 2 beds sleeping up to 4 people) had no linens.The duvet and pillows provided were stained and mattress was bare. I emailed the host company the night we arrived and communicated each day after with no resolution and only a response to say they were waiting for the local host to reply. Very disappointed!
