Dirty and unsafe
The unit was not as easy to access as we expected when we arrived and had to get assistance from two tenants of the building, but no one from the property was there to assist us. The unit exits directly into the Main Street scape which was not indicated in the write up. Because there was no additional access doors before getting to our unit, this unit leaves one vulnerable to security issues which we faced on Sunday morning at 5:30am when a strange male made several attempts to enter our unit requiring us to call the police. We called the VRBO unit contact but no answer. This event was traumatizing especially because the front door which he was trying to enter is very difficult to lock. We were not going to stay another night given how unsafe we felt. We also had to purchase several supplies including air freshener because the unit smelled awful of cigarette smoke throughout and the VRBO add stated the unit was non smoking. The add also stated this would feel like a luxury hotel and this was not the case. Some of the Furniture was stained and there was mold in the shower basin which made us believe there is really no time spent to clean and remediate the unit between travelers. We cooperated fully and asked for a refund for unused days. Bad experience all around. Don’t stay here.
