Doorman was very friendly. Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. However, the room I stayed in had a smell. I asked for a change of room and they did change it for me. The other room did not have any smell. Although it is alittle bit old, I would stay at this hotel again because of its great service.

When we checked in, our concierge treated us exceptionally well! He was gracious and listened to our requests! We were treated like royalty! We love Paris and can't wait to return. Especially to the Hotel California.

Great location and neat hotel. Good value for the price.

ok the location was very good the rooms were good the concierge was not very helpfull

From the moment we arrived at front door our experience was exceptional! The doorman, desk reception, room maid, bar/lounge, breakfast staff were so polite and accomodating to our lack of the French language! We would definately recommend Hotel California Champs Elysee to our family and friends!

Was there for business however when i go back to the hotel everything is nearby. Room size is OK considering Europe hotels

We chose a family room -- it was cramped compared to what was shown in photos. Lobby area was great but the room rundown, the bathroom door didn't shut all the way, and the bathroom flooded with each shower as there was only half(?) of a shower door. They only put out 3 towels for 4 people. The keycards to our room stopped working. I couldn't remember whether breakfast was included and asked the front desk- they said it was and so we ate at the buffet the second morning. At checkout-- you guessed it --not included -- they charged 100 euros for the 4 of us (I had coffee and a croissant). With lots of discussion at numerous levels they reduced it to 75. Would not go back or recommend.

A little more expensive than some, but great service and excellent location (easy access to the Arch DeTriumph, Louve, Eiffel Tower, etc.) made it worth the extra spend. Location felt safe - walked everywhere we went. The hotel staff made sure that we were taken care of at every turn. Excellent choice for seeing the sites of Paris.

Took the family for a week of vacation. Hotel was "over-sold" in terms of the hype and advertising. have travelled to Paris 5-5 times and stayed in a variety of places. This is average at best. Quite poor service overall but that's a bit expected in this town. Rooms were nice size for Paris but poor day-to-day service (bath towels, cleaning, replacements, etc.) Morning breakfast was supposed to be a nice "buffet style"; none of us really enjoyed it and after the 3rd day, we stopped going. We were there for 8 days and every single day we had top get our hotel key cards replaced (the key cards to both of our rooms just stopped working and we had to reactivate them everyday). Bar was nice but we will choose another place for our next trip and I have warned my business colleagues to try another location.

Ourt room was ready ahead of schedule. It was well decorated with a window that opened into a courtyard. The room was on the small size but certainly not cramped. The BR was modern and clean, all tile. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautiful. The breakfast was included with our program and was well worth it. The fitness center was fairly well equipped- good for a hotel this size. The wireless access signal was weak and frequently unavailable which was unfortunate since we were trying to keep in touch with our kids through Skype. The location was superior. It was one block from the Champs-Elyse and 4 blocks from the Arc d'Triomph. Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel.
